Texas A&M is predicted to land legacy 2026 4-star WR
Texas A&M's history of recruiting the sons of former players is vast. While the latest legacy, current freshman outfielder Terrence Kiel II, is on the baseball team, head coach Mike Elko has constantly contacted former Texas A&M standout linebacker and 1996 first-round pick Reggie Brown.
Brown's son is 2026 four-state wide receiver Michael "Mike" Brown, who officially visited College Station on Friday and is set to make an announcement sooner rather than later. While the Aggies are competing with the likes of Alabama and Arkansas, Texas A&M reportedly has the edge in his recruitment, according to Rivals insider Sam Spiegelman's recent update:
"Four star legacy recruit was on campus Friday. Expecting a decision shortly. When he does, feel great about the Aggies."
It's not just the legacy connection that makes Texas A&M an excellent fit for Brown. The incoming senior possesses the speed, quickness, and impressive red-zone efficiency to become a reliable part of A&M's future receiver room. A successful senior season should boost Brown's recruiting ranking.
According to Rivals, Brown is currently positioned as the 223rd-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 35th-ranked wide receiver, and the 32nd-ranked prospect in Texas.

Oklahoma Sooners earn commitment from 2026 blue chip offensive lineman
Oklahoma Sooners earn commitment from 2026 blue chip offensive lineman The Oklahoma Sooners added their ninth pledge in the 2026 recruiting class on Monday, picking up a commitment from four-star offensive lineman Noah Best. Best is the No. 15 interior offensive lineman in the class according to Rivals and is also a four-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry ranking. Best marks the second offensive line commitment in the class, joining Will Conroy, another interior offensive line prospect in 2026. Best chose the Sooners over offers from Missouri and Kansas State and had a total of 24 Power Four offers across the SEC, Big Ten, ACC, and Big 12. It's a big win for Bill Bedenbaugh and the Oklahoma Sooners, who add another physical interior offensive lineman of the future. Best is a force at the point of attack and imposes his will on defenders. He moves really well in space, displaying the athleticism to pull across the formation and climb to the second level in the run game. As a pass protector, Best displays really good footwork. He doesn't allow defenders to beat him around the edge. He's a strong player. Once he gets his hands on the rusher, they don't go anywhere. Although he projects as a guard at the collegiate level, his experience and the talent he has shown at offensive tackle will provide Best the position flexibility to make an impact at multiple spots along the offensive line. An eye-opening stat reveals how elite A.J. Brown is at the wide receiver position
An eye-opening stat reveals how elite A.J. Brown is at the wide receiver position A.J. Brown's 16.1 yards per reception last season was second among all wideouts with at least 80 targets, behind only Jameson Williams of the Detroit Lions. Being a part of a run-first offense has its downsides. Just ask Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown, who in 2024 saw his lowest statistical outputs since coming to Philadelphia, while playing in 13 games. While injuries contributed to that, Saquon Barkley's historic rushing season limited the opportunities for Eagles' pass-catchers. Numbers don't tell the entire story, however. When Brown was involved, he was one of the NFL's most explosive players. His 16.1 yards per reception last season was second among all wideouts with at least 80 targets, behind only Jameson Williams of the Detroit Lions. Jameson Williams 17.3 yards/reception A.J. Brown 16.1 yards/reception Calvin Ridley 15.9 yards/reception Darnell Mooney 15.5 yards/reception George Pickens 15.3 yards/reception DK Metcalf 15.0 yards/reception Brown earned the league's highest receiving grade vs. single coverage last season (96.6), via Pro Football Focus. He also logged five 100-yard games, tied for the most among all wide receivers during the regular season. At just 28 years old, Brown is still performing at an elite level, and a step back from the Eagles' run game or defense in 2025 could only increase his value in Philadelphia's offense. 'It has to change; it has to evolve,' Brown said of the offense in February. 'I don't know what wrinkles would look like, but we have to find ways to get better, you know? It's a lot of fame out there on us — we just won — and guys are going to be coming at us. We're not doing the hunting anymore. We're the hunted, and we have to get better.'
