Darts host forced to apologise after Nathan Aspinall's X-rated interview with Asp left covering his face in horror
NATHAN ASPINALL went from hero to zero after accidentally swearing during an on-stage interview.
The Asp won the European Tour 8 final last night, beating Damon Heta 8-6 to bank a whopping £30,000.

Aspinall is in great form after making the Premier League play-off last Thursday by finishing in the top four and he won the night in Aberdeen on May 15.
The 33-year-old was asked about his recent brilliance in a live TV interview after picking up the trophy in Leveruksen, Germany yesterday.
Aspinall reflected: "I've been through rubbish but I'm getting back there.
"When things are not going your way, you have to keep fighting, digging and believing you can get back to your best. That is what I do.

"And the last few weeks have been pretty f***ing good."
Aspinall immediately covered his face in horror after his X-rated remark.
Host Philip Brzezinski said: "Very nearly Nathan. We apologise for the language."
Heta was also seen giggling to himself after his rival's dropped the F-bomb.

It came after Aspinall also said: "To bounce back after the defeat on Thursday night, to come here and win this tournament, shows where my game's at at the moment.
"I don't make games easy but in the semi-final and final I played fantastic.

The head coach is keen to strengthen his midfield as the club prepare for European football for the first time in 30 years. Omari Hutchinson and James McAtee were presented to the crowd before Sunday's 3-1 win over Brentford, having been signed from Ipswich Town and Manchester City respectively, while Forest also completed a deal for the French striker, Arnaud Kalimuendo, from Rennes on Monday. The deal for Douglas Luiz is understood to include an obligation to buy based on the number of appearances he makes. The 27-year-old had a difficult debut season at Juventus and was even tipped to leave the club in the January window after only six months in Serie A. Villa reluctantly sold him last summer for €50million (about £43million) to ensure they did not breach the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules. But he only started in three matches in the league for his new side and six times in all competitions from his 27 appearances. The defensive midfielder made 204 appearances in five years at Villa and was key to them qualifying for the Champions League under Unai Emery with a fourth-placed finish in 2023-24. Forest had also been keen on Rico Lewis but the full back now looks set to sign a new contract at Manchester City. Forest were hopeful of agreeing a double deal for Lewis and McAtee. But while the latter was at the City Ground on Sunday, Lewis was impressing for Pep Guardiola's side against Wolverhampton Wanderers the previous day. The 20-year-old England international was left out of the FA Cup final squad in May which had raised question marks over his long-term future but the academy graduate has been committed to the club and is set to sign a new long-term deal. While it has yet to be fully agreed there is hope of a resolution soon after talks accelerated earlier this week. Speaking after the 3-0 win against Wolves, Lewis said: 'For me, I've never ever seen myself at a different club. I've always wanted to play for City. It's my dream club, and like you see today, when I'm playing with the kind of players that I'm playing with, it brings out the best in me, so I'm so happy.' Chelsea have agreed to sell the defender Renato Veiga to Villarreal for a fee worth an initial £21.3million plus £4.3million in add-ons. Veiga is travelling to Spain and will undergo a medical on Thursday. The 22-year-old was signed by Chelsea only last summer from Basel for £12million but left the club in January after asking to leave to get more time playing in his preferred centre-back position. Up until that point he had been used at left back and as cover in midfield at Stamford Bridge. Veiga's ambition is to play in central defence for Portugal at the World Cup in 2026. He joined Juventus on loan in January, at a cost of £4.3million, but the Italian club opted against making his move permanent after a change in senior recruitment staff. Meanwhile, Rodrigo Muniz is expected to stay at Fulham after they rejected multiple bids from Atalanta. The west London club will begin talks about extending the forward's contract beyond its expiry next summer.

The Scotland international appears to be out of the first-team plans at Millwall after a successful loan at Pittodrie last term Jimmy Thelin has refused to rule out a possible move to bring Kevin Nisbet back to Aberdeen. The Scotland international had a successful loan spell at Pittodrie last season, where he helped the Dons to lift the Scottish Cup. Nisbet is just coming back from injury and hasn't been involved at Millwall, while Aberdeen need to add Scottish players for their European campaign. Thelin, when asked if he could move for Nisbet, answered: 'The window is the window. 'The way we are working, there can be changes in and out. We have to think about Aberdeen Football Club in the first way then think about individuals and getting game time. 'We will see if we can find something more that can strengthen us. 'If that's the case they maybe, we'll see.' The Dons have only been able to name a 20 man squad for their Europa League play-off clash with FCSB because they don't meet the homegrown or academy-trained criteria. Thelin has targeted Scottish players. His problem is that the likes of Lyall Cameron and Josh Mulligan have moved elsewhere. He confirmed: 'The competition is quite strong about some players we looked at and had talks with, yes. 'But let's see how the future looks. That's an overall plan we have and we're trying to work on that every season, so let's see in the future what's going to happen. 'I think you will see, I believe, in the next coming years some more from our academy and more recruitment from young Scottish players to build a strong core. 'It has to be the right ones and the right timing to get the game time they need.' Aberdeen are guaranteed group stage football but Thelin wants it to be in the Europa League rather than the Conference League. He stated: 'People can talk about a safety net but we don't think like that, we want to be in this competition. 'If we can get there, we'll have deserved it because we will have proved ourselves getting to that level. 'As a football manager, a club or a player you always want to compete against the best you can. 'That's how you grow, how do you cope with the pressure and use your squad? 'You always want to be the best version of yourself, so getting to the Europa League would be a good experience for everyone. 'We have pushed hard to prepare for these games, to be ready for it and now we are looking forward to these games. 'It wasn't long ago that Aberdeen was in the Conference League, now we want to be in the Europa League. 'That is part of this team growing, we want to use this to get better and better.'

Nisbet scored 14 goals during a loan from Millwall last season and started in their Scottish Cup final win over Celtic. Aberdeen can't afford to pay the wages it would take to bring him back to Pittodrie permanently, but could make another temporary pitch before next week's deadline. Asked whether Nisbet is an option, Thelin said: 'The window is the window. 'The way we are working, there can be changes in and out. 'We have to plan for the two games, Thursday's game is only the first half and the second half is next week. 'So we have to balance the squad in the best way to get through.' Aberdeen are guaranteed Conference League football even if they lose this tie but Thelin shot down claims tonight is a free hit. He said: 'We have to remember we are in the play-off for the Europa League. 'People can talk about a safety net but we don't think like that, we want to be in this competition.
