The 381 seniors at the high school were among 3,000-plus Collier County School District students graduating this year.
The school was founded in 1978.
The high school is named in honor of Barron Collier, the savvy businessman who purchased more than a million acres in Florida in the early 1900s.
The school's mascot is the Cougars, and the school colors are gray and blue.
Barron Collier High School is on Cougar Drive off Osceola Trail in Naples.

BYU men's basketball is building a non-conference schedule to match the program's high expectations for the 2025-26 season. Advertisement Athletic Director Brian Santiago announced at BYU's Fathers and Sons Basketball Camp that the Cougars will face North Carolina in an exhibition game at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The game will reportedly be in late October and will be the second of BYU's two preseason exhibitions. The Cougars will also travel to Nebraska as part of a home-and-home exhibition series. New NCAA rule allowing schools to play two Division I teams in public, televised exhibitions. As it stood previously, exhibitions were either closed to fans or had to be labeled as charity events. Now, programs can generate NIL revenue from these games, opening the door for high-profile matchups ahead of the regular season. The North Carolina and Nebraska games will not count toward BYU's record but mark the start of what is expected to be the most anticipated season in program history. BYU is likely to enter the season ranked in the preseason top 10. The regular season begins Nov. 3 when BYU faces Villanova in Las Vegas as part of the Hall of Fame Series. Villanova will debut new head coach Kevin Willard, who took over in April. The Cougars will also meet Clemson in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden. The Tigers reached the Elite Eight in 2024 before suffering a first-round exit eariler this year. BYU is also scheduled to face Wisconsin on Nov. 21 in Salt Lake City, a rematch of their thrilling 91-89 win in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. They'll play two games against a trio of Miami, Georgetown, and Dayton over Thanksgiving weekend. What Greg Gard said about Wisconsin basketball's 2025 non-conference game against BYU Wisconsin basketball head coach Greg Gard shared his views on his team's recently scheduled nonconference matchup against the BYU Cougars on Tuesday. Roughly one week after reports surfaced regarding the Nov. 21 bout against the Cougars in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Utah Jazz's Delta Center, the program officially announced the game with a press release. "We're really excited that we're able to schedule this game with BYU," UW head coach Greg Gard told "Our game last year was one of the best of the NCAA Tournament and I think both fanbases will enjoy seeing a rematch this season. We have always tried to challenge ourselves in the non-conference schedule to prepare the team for Big Ten play and beyond and this game certainly will do so." The Badgers will certainly gear up for another highly anticipated test against Kevin Young's crew. The Cougars secured a 91-89 victory in the most recent contest between the two teams on March 22, which featured a 37-point performance from former star Badger John Tonje and a 25-tally finish from BYU veteran Richie Saunders. While Tonje will not return to the hardwood for the Badgers in Utah, the Cougars will return Saunders, send out starting center Keba Keita and welcome in freshman small forward A.J. Dybantsa, a five-star recruit and projected No. 1 pick of the 2026 NBA draft. UW, meanwhile, projects to start former San Diego State guard Nick Boyd, Virginia wing Andrew Rhode and Portland forward Austin Rapp alongside two returning starters in John Blackwell and center Nolan Winter. The Badgers' non-conference slate will also include a neutral-site match against the Villanova Wildcats at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on December 19th, an exhibition against the Oklahoma Sooners on Oct. 24 in Milwaukee and an appearance in the Rady's Children's Invitational in late November. Games outside the Big Ten have traditionally enabled the Badgers to gauge where they stand against potential NCAA Tournament participants down the line. Those games also allow Gard to experiment with rotations and evaluate how his athletes perform alongside one another. With Dybantsa at the helm for BYU, Wisconsin's Nov. 21 bout vs. the Cougars will also draw eyeballs. The battle is expected to be the first of a home-and-home, with BYU set to travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 2026. Before then, Gard and company will look to notch an early signature win to start the 2025-26 regular season. Houston guard Milos Uzan reportedly withdraws from NBA Draft to return to school for his senior season
One of the best players on one of the best college-basketball teams from last season is going to run it back. Houston guard Milos Uzan will reportedly withdraw from the NBA Draft and return to school for his senior season, according to multiple reports. The decision comes as a major surprise. Uzan was listed as No. 38 on Yahoo Sports' NBA Draft big board, suggesting he would be selected early in the second round — with the possibility of going near the end of the first round. Advertisement It's not the first time Uzan has pulled himself out of the draft. Uzan also went through the NBA Draft process following his sophomore year at Oklahoma. He pulled out before the draft deadline and announced he would return to college, but transfer to Houston. He experienced a breakout season with the Cougars. Uzan, 22, averaged 11.4 points and 4.3 assists in his first season at Houston. The Cougars went 35-5 and finished No. 2 overall in the final men's poll of the season. During the NCAA Tournament, Uzan helped the Cougars reach the championship, where they lost to Florida in a tight game. Uzan scored six points in the contest. Following the end of the college season, Uzan again decided to go through the draft process. He opted to pull out Tuesday — a day before the deadline to withdraw from the NBA Draft — and go back to Houston for a final year. Advertisement Uzan did not specify why he withdrew from the draft again. It's possible the guard was hoping to receive a higher draft grade from teams and experts. It's also possible he wanted to return the Houston to try and win a championship after the team nearly pulled off the feat last season. Uzan's return should ensure the Cougars are ranked high once again at the start of the 2025-26 college-basketball season. He'll combine with Emanuel Sharp — who averaged 12.6 points last season — and Joseph Tugler, the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, to give Houston a formidable trio. Uzan could see his numbers increase once again in his senior season, especially after L.J. Cryer's departure. If Uzan can step up his game once more, he could further increase his NBA Draft grade before his college eligibility runs out after next season.
