Prestatyn Pride is taking place this weekend: what to expect
Organised by Prestatyn Town Council, all are welcome at the event, which is taking place from 12-8pm on Saturday (June 7).
A parade will start at the bottom of High Street at 12pm, travelling upwards, and leading up to the car park of the Cross Foxes pub, where the main event is.
This event will involve vendors, charitable stalls, volunteers, LGBTQIA+ organisations, speciality acts and performers, while admission is free.
People can expect reptiles, balloon modelling, face painting, giant bubbles, stalls, waffles, sweets, pizzas and burgers.

Meanwhile, at the Boujee Barn, there will be stalls set up by the North Wales Trans, Intersex and Nonbinary Network, North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner, Viva LGBT, Fire Pride Network, Foster Wales Denbighshire, Unique, and Fast Track Cymru.
The event is being held during Pride Month, which is celebrated annually in June - the month when the 1969 Stonewall riots took place.
Similar annual events along the North Wales coast take place in Rhyl (at The Bodfor pub) and in Colwyn Bay (at the town's promenade).

The Liberty's upcoming July 25 Pride Night at Barclays is the official glitter-soaked centerpiece, but the league's queerness isn't confined to one game or one month. As Liberty coach Sandy Brondello told Sports Illustrated last year, 'We celebrate [Pride] every single day of the week … all season long.' That ethos shows up in the stands, where fans like Deidree Golbourne (a.k.a. the 'Mayor of Barclays') make Liberty games a safe haven for Black, queer and gender-diverse New Yorkers. It shows up at bars like Ginger's and The Bush, where queer fans—new and old—find familiar faces, cold drinks and loud cheers for Breanna Stewart threes. Trump Tower is throwing a Pride month party for LGBTQ+ Republicans despite White House dodging events
Trump Tower will host a Pride month event later this June, despite the White House refusing to officially acknowledge the celebrations. The event, hosted by Log Cabin Republicans of New York City, will take place at the president's Manhattan hub, promising an evening of drinks, canapes and networking for LGBTQ conservatives. 'I'll be bringing my pride flag!' wrote one user, in response to the post on the group's official Instagram page announcing the event, adding a U.S. flag emoji. Tickets cost $175 dollars, or $150 for 'dues-paying members.' It comes after White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dodged a question on whether the Trump administration would formally be recognizing June as Pride Month. 'There are no plans for a proclamation for the month of June,' Leavitt said during a media briefing on Tuesday. 'But I can tell you this president is very proud to be a president for all Americans, regardless of race, religion or creed.' Trump also declined to issue a proclamation recognizing Pride Month during his first term, but did acknowledge it on social media in a post in which he recognized 'the outstanding contributions LGBT people have made to our great Nation.' 'Let us also stand in solidarity with the many LGBT people who live in dozens of countries worldwide that punish, imprison, or even execute individuals on the basis of their sexual orientation,' Trump wrote on X, then Twitter, in 2019. 'My Administration has launched a global campaign to decriminalize homosexuality and invite all nations to join us in this effort,' he said at the time. The Log Cabin event at Trump Tower on June 28 attracted criticism and mockery from other LGBTQ outlets, including Queerty, who branded it a party 'for all the worst gays.' CTA's rainbow-bright Pride Train is back on the Red Line tracks this month
Chicago's Pride Month celebrations are legendary, spreading LGBTQ+ culture, history and community at the best gay bars, the top drag brunches and, of course, the annual Pride Parade. (This year's parade festivities kick off on Sunday, June 29 at 11:00 a.m. with "United in Pride" as the 2025 theme.) But a far more everyday way of honoring the historic legacy and continuing vibrancy of Chicago's queer and trans communities is by simply hopping on a CTA train—yes, the annual eight-car, rainbow-hued Pride Train is back on the city's Red Line tracks during the whole month of June, this time sporting a snazzy new design. Expect to see multi-hued vertical waving bars on the train's cars, with the words 'Ride with pride!' emblazoned on the sides. Bookending each train, black and brown stripes represent LGBTQ+ people of color, with transgender and classic Pride flag colors filling in the middle. But it doesn't stop there: On the inside of each car, passengers can read not only inclusive and supportive affirmations, but also facts about local LGBTQ+ history, which is a new addition for this year. The first major transit agency to publicly support the queer community with a Pride Train, this beauty has been chugging along since 2017. 'The CTA is excited to continue the tradition of celebrating the LGBTQ community with the unveiling of the 2025 Pride Train and Pride signature Ventra Card designs,' said CTA Acting President Nora Leerhsen, in an official release. 'CTA stands ready to take you to all the fun events that Pride month has to offer.'
