The Hive was bouncing. The last minute spoiled a great night. The home loss against Zebre destroyed our season not the result tonight. Just bad luck.Fred: Typical old failings. Had a chance to go seven points up which would at least mean Sharks would need a converted try to draw, given their place kicking was awful, another win has slipped through the fingers. Be lucky to get another win this season.Abigail: Mixed response from the game. Proud of the team fronting up against such a strong opponent and battling to the end. But disappointment in missed chances and silly mistakes, but clear team improvement.James: Edinburgh threw that match away after working so hard to stay ahead. The favourite Scottish trick of not being able to score from close range once again reared it's ugly head as they failed to get the clinching score and bonus point win, then they gave it away. They just don't have winners and leaders. Failing to secure the goal line dropout was shockingly poor inviting the scrum penalty and conceding field position. There are some individuals in the Edinburgh set up who are just not good enough. The substitutions who came on near the end were poor.Zebre 6-14 Glasgow WarriorsChris: Glasgow looked like the wind had been knocked out of them. Not the bounce back performance that was expected, a win is a win but the visit of the Bulls is daunting.Hopey: Tough watch. First half lacked direction, application and passion. A lot of players did not put their hand up or make a difference. Better in the second-half for the first 20 minutes, there was a clear effort to break the gain line and get behind Zebre. Thomas Gordon certainly brought momentum and the players around him followed his lead. No bonus point, but a win here was incredibly important for the rest of the season. Can breath again but will need to fix the TV.George: One of the worst games of rugby I have ever watched. Both sides wanted to show that they could knock on more and make the silliest of errors. Saying that will be good experience for the younger players to know they can come back and win when everything seems not to be working for them.David: Franco Smith achieved two things, they got a win away to Zebre and rested key players for the difficult matches at the regular season.England 59-7 ScotlandMike: Another huge defeat at the hands of England, we just can't compete at any age or grade level, professional women and now since the Six Nations, our men. Where do we actually go from this point forward? U16, U18, U20, Women's and Men's game? In a few years our men's group, the best ever assembled, will be out of date and our development of young players is, I'm sorry to say, woeful! We will transition like Wales and take years to get any sort of talent through. Our chances of any Championship has been lost since the Six Nations started and this will not change anytime soon.Tom: Psychological hangover, lots of players trying too hard. Hope we get over this quickly or our title defence will fail but it will help if some of the injured players return because they did not play in Dublin so can bring back the positivity of our earlier performances.

Scottish star scraps in Friday round in his Canada effort Battling Bob MacIntyre scrapped to keep himself afloat in his defence of the RBC Canadian Open. The Scottish star endured a frustrating second day at TPC Toronto in his quest to go back-to-back at the prestigious event. MacIntyre made a strong start to the tournament with opening round of 65, but he was unable to make further steps forward in his next effort. The Oban star started positively enough with a birdie at his first hole. However, a double at the next and three more dropped shots left him hovering dangerously close to the cut mark with a third of his round remaining. MacIntyre needed to show his quality and fighting spirit to stave off any more setbacks and picked up a couple of shots in that closing half-dozen holes for a 72 to get it back to a score of three-under par at the halfway stage and safely into the weekend. With 36 holes to go, the Scot faces a mammoth task to get his trophy back with leader Cameron Champ setting a midway mark of 12-under, nine ahead of last year's winner. But, with the US Open looming at Oakmont next week, MacIntyre's grit and determination to stay in the battle offers encouragement for the third major of the campaign in Pennsylvania. The Tartan star has more work to do in Canada, but looking ahead, he has urged the USGA to make the US Open a fair test as he admits he might not enjoy Oakmont. MacIntyre will be the country's sole representative and, having been made aware about the perils of the track, admits tournament organisers need to find the right balance between tough and fair. He explained: 'From what I'm hearing, I don't know if I'm going to enjoy it. I don't think anyone's going to enjoy it unless you're holding the trophy at the end of the week. But going back to these historical golf courses, I'm a big believer in lengths of golf courses. 'I talk about all this modern technology and stuff. We're talking about how long rounds of golf are taken because of lengths of golf courses. 7,800 yards with five-inch-thick rough. So I don't know if I'm the sort of guy that'll enjoy it unless I'm up there competing at the top end. It's going to be an absolute grind from the start.' Speaking to Sky, he added: 'You can [enjoy it]. I mean, I don't want to get too much into it, but if it's set up right, if the fairways are wide enough, then you can have as thick or rough as you want. If the fairways are wide enough, I'm fair game. 'But when we went to Winged Foot, the fairways weren't wide enough. So it just fed into the hands of who's going to hit it the furthest, the longest guys, who's going to chip it the best out of them 15 guys. I know there's a bit more to it than that, but that's the way it feels. 'At Oakmont, I know there's no trees and it's just so open, but hopefully the fairways have got enough width that we can play golf, so that then if you are going to go into the five-inch thick rough, it's a bad tee shot, which I'm fair game. I do like a tough test, but let's make it a fair, tough test.'

Wales in late collapse against England Wales U20s conceded five tries in the final 13 minutes as England U20s ran out 47-14 winners in a World Cup warm-up at Pontypool Park. There were only five survivors from the side which beat England U20s in the final game of the U20s Six Nations, but Richard Whiffin's team held a 14-7 lead at the interval. Outside centre Elijah Evans opened the scoring before openside flanker Caio James powered over from short-range, with Harri Ford converting both tries. Farrell sweats on Lions Leinster have lost two more of their British and Irish Lions call-ups to injury, with both Josh van der Flier and Hugo Keenan missing for the United Rugby Championship semi-final against Glasgow Warriors. They join fellow tourists Tadhg Furlong and Garry Ringrose on the sidelines just two weeks before the Lions' first match, as Leinster continue their bid to avoid a fourth successive season without silverware. Postecoglou claimed he always won things in his second season at clubs, and that proved to be precisely the case at Spurs, as Brennan Johnson's goal in the final against Manchester United secured their first piece of silverware in 17 years.
