Dubai billionaire businessman slammed for gifting baby daughter, one, £500,000 bright pink Rolls Royce

The Irish Sun23-06-2025
A BILLIONAIRE businessman has sparked outrage after gifting his one-year-old daughter a £500,000 custom pink Rolls-Royce.
Jaw-dropping footage showed Dubai-based dad Satish Sanpal handing his toddler Isabella the keys to a Rolls-Royce Phantom - sending social media into a frenzy.

Sanpal, the founder of ANAX Developments who is originally from India, was seen making the extravagant gesture to his toddler alongside his wife Tabinda.
The astonishing clip also showed the metallic pink car's decadent interior - its plush interior punctuated by pink and white leather chairs.
The swanky motor, which retails at half a million pounds but is likely to have cost Sanpal even more for the customisation, also boasted a fancy number plate reading: "CONGRATULATIONS Isabella."
A personalised imprint next to each door revealed the car had been custom-built in the UK and specially shipped over, all for Father's Day.
Inside, every seat was embroidered with the little girl's initials, turning the ultra-pricey vehicle into a personalised throne on wheels.
In the viral footage, the family of three are seen arriving to an event space in their other lavish Rolls-Royce.
The outdoor decorations feature a huge teddy bear with flowers and colourful balloons.
A pink carpet is also laid out on the floor for the daughter and her parents to enter on.

When they get inside, two massive doors - with the girl's initials "ISS" and her name written on it - slide open.
They reveal the ridiculously luxurious car surrounded by more balloons and another teddy bear.

Isabella - who will have to wait another 17 years to start using her new toy - is seen dancing happily along with staff in excitement following the revelation of her present.
The unbelievable footage sparked fury online, with many slamming the dad for the "unreasonable" gift.
One user said: "I understand that people can spend their money however they like, but it's still sad seeing a toddler get a Rolls Royce when some charities have to beg for support."
Another blasted the tycoon: "It's a tacky and flashy display of wealth and just proves that money does not buy class."
While a third commented: "What rubbish... the little girl would have been more happy at a water park or a joy ride in a mall.
"Shameless show offs."
But others seemed pleased to see little Isabella's infectious joy.

One user said: "Don't get the hate. If I had that kind of money, I'd do the exact same thing.
"He's earned it, worked hard for it, and there's nothing wrong with wanting nice things for your family or showing it off a bit."
And another backed him up by saying: "Oh wow, such a sweet gesture from her father she's truly lucky!"
This is not the first time the Indian billionaire has gone all out for his daughter.
He threw her a jaw-dropping first birthday bash at one of Dubai's most exclusive hotels in February.
The proud dad Sanpal hosted a lavish celebration at Atlantis The Royal, transforming the luxury venue into a winter wonderland complete with fake snow, icy chandeliers and frosted white trees.

Beloved soap returns after 22 years off-screen in historic crossover with Hollyoaks to celebrate major milestone

The cast members of the soap have gone on to forge successful careers for themselves WELCOME RETURN Beloved soap returns after 22 years off-screen in historic crossover with Hollyoaks to celebrate major milestone A BELOVED soap is returning after 22 years off-screen, in a historic crossover with Hollyoaks. Now, fans will be pleased to here that it'll be back on screens in a special Hollyoaks episode that will honour the predecessor. Hollyoaks took over as Channel 4's flagship continuing drama when the Liverpool-based soap ended on November 4th 2003. And as part of the exciting crossover, fans will see Brookside characters make a return as a treat to mark the milestone. Executive Producer Hannah Cheers said: 'This episode is a love letter to both Hollyoaks and Brookside. 'Brookside gave birth to Hollyoaks — it grew up on the same site and eventually took over its sets. 'For everyone at Lime Pictures (originally Mersey TV), Hollyoaks' history is deeply rooted in Brookside, and its legacy lives on through our crew and, of course, some of our cast. 'This special feels like both a moving and fitting tribute to our origin story and a chance for fans to revisit much-loved Brookside characters in honour of that legacy. 'These iconic Brookside characters are soap archetypes that helped define British TV; soap archetypes that new generations are still discovering now through Hollyoaks. As a lifelong soap fan who grew up watching with my mum, I was passionate about revisiting Brookside for the anniversary. With Sir Phil's blessing — after I had the privilege of pitching the idea to him — and the support of Channel 4, we're able to make it happen. Brookside actress, 53, unrecognisable 28 years after controversial incest plot that shocked Britain 'Writer Steve Hughes, who began his career on Brookside, has reimagined where these characters are more than twenty years on. We hope audiences will enjoy welcoming these old friends back into their homes once again.' Brookside, which first aired in November 1982, gave us TV's first pre-watershed lesbian kiss and kickstarted the careers of some of the nation's best-loved stars including Anna Friel and Sue Johnston. The Channel 4 soap was set in Liverpool and filmed on an actual close built especially for the show. Aside from that kiss between Beth Jordache and Margaret Clemence, it had some iconic storylines before it came to an end in November 2003 - including the incestuous love affair between brother and sister Nat and Georgia Simpson. Sir Phil said: 'It is always bitter sweet thinking back to Brookie, the reminders of its success and impact, but the thoughts of many, like Dean Sullivan and Bill Dean, who are no longer with us. 'But it is great that Lime Pictures are paying homage in their Hollyoaks anniversary cross over episodes. 'I can't wait to see how all the gardens are coping in the heatwave and, who knows, what might pop up if someone decides to re-lay their patio. I know we left something else down there.' The filming for the exciting episode will take place next month in September, and it's set to be the first time that Brookside Close has been on air, since it ended in with Jimmy Corkhill daubing a 'd' onto the sign, leaving it as 'Brookside Closed' before driving out of the cul-de-sac. 4 The cast members of the soap have gone on to forge successful careers for themselves Credit: Channel 4

Cork outdoor recreation projects receive ‘major boost' of more than €600,000 in funding

The funding, a total sum of €608,550, has been provided from the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS). The overall fund is worth €8.7m and will cover 221 projects across Ireland including walking trails, cycleways, water-based amenities and mountain access routes. Fine Gael senator Eileen Lynch said she is 'delighted' to see the investment in outdoor projects in Cork. 'When projects are delivered, this funding will provide a major boost to the local economy by attracting visitors and furthering our reputation as a destination for adventure tourism,' Senator Lynch said. The Macroom-based senator said she is particularly delighted to see funding for IRD Duhallow and Cork County Council as these bodies 'provided so much joy for the community over the years.' 'This new funding is going to make a big difference for outdoor amenities in Cork, making them even better for local families and visitors alike. It's so important to get out and make the most of what our outdoors has to offer. 'I want to thank the community groups across Cork who work so hard to develop and enhance recreational amenities in our local community. 'These amenities are here for us all to enjoy. I really encourage everyone to get out there and enjoy the incredible outdoor spaces Cork has to offer', Senator Lynch concluded. ORIS provides funding in three separate measures. Measure 1 offers funding up €40,000 at a 90pc rate of aid for small scale repair/development/promotion or marketing. Maximum six applications can be submitted by each local authority and three applications can be submitted by each local development company.
