Why is Arch Manning's dad being trolled?
Cooper Manning must have had the best intentions when he flew down to Austin from New Orleans just to help his son, Arch Manning, with his SEC Media Day outfit. But after the Texas Longhorns QB appeared on the coveted event, his father's efforts were hilariously trolled.
During the Wednesday episode of 'Andy & Ari', On3 analyst Andy Staples dug into Manning's outfit and how it came about. As revealed by the Longhorns QB himself, Arch called up his father, confused about what to wear for his SEC Media Day appearance.
Staples notes how that is a funny revelation because "Arch Manning was wearing a navy blazer, khakis and a repp tie — so essentially, the uniform of every frat boy from every university."
Co-host Ari Wasserman quipped, "Like what did he (Cooper) do, just go to the SAE house and borrow his friend's clothes? " He added, "That was the most southern outfit I've ever seen."
For those who missed the endless social media posts, here's the fit the two analysts couldn't stop talking about:
Despite the trolling, Staples accepted that there's a reason why Cooper went for this classic combination. The On3 analyst acknowledged that the trio of navy blazer, khaki pants, and repp tie "always looks good."
But was there a need to fly down to Austin? The jury is out. Staples pointed out that since Arch is slowly getting assimilated into his adult life, his father is making sure that no matter what the requirement is, he's there for the Longhorns QB.
Wasserman, on the other hand, pointed out how Cooper knows his son's going to go be in the NFL in a couple of years, and that ends any kind of 'regular days' with his dad.
Manning went viral for attracting a swarm of cameras despite having played just 2 games in his college career. His take on the Heisman Trophy hype was also received well by college football fans.
But he's staying stoic and not giving in to the hype. He believes all the people hyping him up are only making sure he has to go prove himself because he thinks talk is cheap.

Today is your last day to subscribe to Peacock before they raise their prices: Here are 5 shows that make it worth it
Peacock has become a reliable streaming destination for its access to great original and library shows along with live sports, but in case you haven't heard, the platform is raising subscription prices this week – their second price hike in a year – and the increase is pretty substantial. Today (July 22) is your last day to lock in a subscription at current prices before rates increase tomorrow. Currently, the cost of the ad-supported plan is $79.99/year, but after tomorrow, it will rise to $109.99/year – that's a 38% increase. Their ad-free tier will increase roughly 20 percent from $139.99 to $169.99/year. (Existing customers will see the new rates go into effect on or after August 22.) If you're not a current subscriber, we recommend you get crackin' and grab an annual subscription today to lock in the current pricing before it jumps up tomorrow. Despite all the cost increases, Peacock does have one pretty big thing going for it: the streamer will feature more live sports than Amazon Prime, Paramount+, Hulu, HBO Max, Apple TV and Netflix combined in 2026, making it a must-have for sports enthusiasts. Currently, you can catch everything from Premier League soccer to WWE, golf, cycling, and much more on the platform. Not interested in sports? There's one more option available: Peacock is also going to be rolling out a new pricing tier called Peacock Select for $7.99/month that will offer access to all next-day NBC and Bravo entertainment content and older library content (but will not include Peacock original shows and movies or sports). Despite the significant price jump, we still love a lot of Peacock programming, from shows like The Traitors and Poker Face to it's impressive sports coverage. Here's what you need to know about how to subscribe today and lock in the current annual rate and watch Peacock for less in the coming year. What to watch on Peacock: Not sure what to watch with a Peacock subscription? The platform has an extensive library of classic shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Office and Law & Order, Bravo originals like The Real Housewives franchise and Below Deck, and great movies like Drop and The Bad Guys, and live sports, including WWE, Premier League Soccer and NFL games. Still need more options? Here are five of our favorite shows on Peacock to convince you: The Traitors Actor Alan Cumming has assumed his best role yet in Peacock's original reality competition series The Traitors. The premise: Cumming has invited a group of celebrities, from reality stars to politicians and athletes, to his castle in the Scottish highlands where they'll engage in a murder mystery. Cumming secretly names some of his guests as Traitors, and night after night, the Traitors "murder" the remaining contestants, dubbed the Faithfuls, who are then eliminated from the game, while the Faithfuls have to suss out and try and eliminate the Traitors. There are alliances, there's deception, there are surprise murders – and it's tons of campy fun covered in tartan. Stream on Peacock Poker Face Natasha Lyonne as an amateur detective in a case-of-the-week style mystery show is great TV. Stream on Peacock The Day of the Jackal Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser took aim at The Day of the Jackal at this year's award ceremony, saying 'Eddie Redmayne did TV this year. He's nominated for Peacock's The Day of the Jackal. It's about a top-secret elite sniper who no one can see — because he's on Peacock." Even Redmayne laughed, but don't let the show's quiet presence stop you from checking it out, it's a great crime thriller based on the 1971 novel by Frederick Forsyth. Redmayne stars alongside Moses Ingram in the assassin's cat-and-mouse game and you can binge the whole thing in one go. Golf betting: Scottie Scheffler is the favorite to win every major in 2026 as he goes for the career grand slam
Scottie Scheffler's major odds in 2026 are very straightforward. On the heels of his dominant British Open win on Sunday, Scheffler is the early favorite to win all four majors in 2026. Scheffler is +400 at BetMGM to win his third Masters title in April. He's +400 to win a second consecutive PGA Championship in May. He's +400 to complete the career grand slam and win the U.S. Open in June. And he's +400 to go back-to-back at the Open in July. Those odds also make it straightforward for bettors who want to bet Scheffler very early. If you bet $10 on Scheffler to win every major next year, you'll make your money back with just one major win in 2026 and make a profit if he wins two or more. Early bettors are taking that to heart. Scheffler has over 20% of the bets already to win the Masters and PGA Championship next year and the Masters bets on him total nearly 46% of the money already bet on the event. Of course, winning one major in a calendar year for any professional golfer is far from a guarantee. But Scheffler is the closest thing you can get to a lock on the PGA Tour since Tiger Woods' prime. If you really want to get frisky, you can bet on Scheffler sweeping all four majors at +25000. "BetMGM immediately shortened his 2026 Masters price to +400 from +500 and that could still shorten further should he continue to dominate on the PGA Tour," BetMGM trader Matt Wall said. "The comparisons with Tiger Woods certainly don't look out of place right now. All the early action is on Scottie to win all 4 majors at +25000, and he is the favorite in each one right now.' Scheffler has won a major in three of the past four seasons and already has 17 career PGA Tour wins. All of those victories have come in the last four seasons as well. If he wins the U.S. Open in 2026 — and Jordan Spieth doesn't win the 2026 PGA Championship — he'll become the seventh golfer to win all four majors. Rory McIlroy became the sixth when he won the Masters in April and the first to complete the career grand slam since Woods in 2000. McIlroy, meanwhile, is the early No. 2 favorite to Scheffler in three of the four majors next seasons. McIlroy is +900 to win the Open, +550 to win the Masters and +600 to win the PGA Championship. His odds to win the U.S. Open are +900 and just behind two-time U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau at +800.

49ers' TE Earns High Mark in ESPN Elite Rankings
49ers' TE Earns High Mark in ESPN Elite Rankings originally appeared on Athlon Sports. As the San Francisco 49ers attempt to right the ship after a massively disappointing 2024 campaign that saw a 6-11 record and no playoff appearance, one piece to the solution is tight end George Kittle. Advertisement While the offense sputtered last year, the six-time Pro Bowler wasn't part of the problem. He's got four 1,000-yard seasons in his eight-year career, and two of those were in 2023 and 2024. He's not slowing down; he might be getting better. Now, Kittle takes his spot near the top of ESPN's top 10 tight ends in the NFL ahead of the 2025 season. A survey of NFL coaches, scouts and executives by Jeremy Fowler compiled the list. After taking the No. 2 spot last season behind Travis Kelce, he's in the same position this year, but behind the young phenom Brock Bowers in Las Vegas. Advertisement "Kittle is aging well. He's coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with a combined 14 touchdowns during that two-year span. Fifty of his 78 catches last season went for a first down," Fowler wrote. "His premier blocking remains unmatched, and he's still tough to bring down, leading all tight ends with 14.2 yards per catch. Kittle and quarterback BrockPurdy signed massive contract extensions in tandem this offseason, so they have several years to build upon their chemistry. Kittle caught 83% of Purdy's targets last year." While it sounds weird to say that Kittle could be better, that's what one scout said in his evaluation of the 49ers tight end. "He's shown that when he's healthy, he's the most complete player at the position," an AFC scout said. "Durability is the only thing that's really affected that. He embodies San Francisco's culture, and that's why they keep paying him." This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jul 11, 2025, where it first appeared.
