Fans React to Timothee Chalamet Announcement During Knicks-Pacers Game 6
Fans React to Timothee Chalamet Announcement During Knicks-Pacers Game 6 originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
When the New York Knicks play, the stars come out. Ben Stiller, Larry David, Bad Bunny, and, of course, Spike Lee are all regulars courtside, although the Knicks travel very well, bringing their most famous fans on the road with them.

This season, especially in this postseason, actor Timothée Chalamet has been a staple courtside, and in Game 6 in Indianapolis against the Pacers, it was no exception, as he was sitting behind the basket in the first row.

While Chalamet wasn't the only star in the building (Caitlin Clark was there to cheer on the Pacers), he represents a younger generation of Knicks fans who expect the best from their team.
The NBA is driven by its stars, with players like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant shouldering the league for decades, but the league opted to capitalize on Chalamet, who is a different kind of superstar.
Chalamet and Jenner have been involved in a relationship for two years, and the couple has been courtside at every game of the Eastern Conference Finals, prompting reactions from fans.

"He fr got Kylie Jenner in Indianapolis on a Saturday night," posted a fan.
"They're going to be in tears by the end of the night," posted another, as the Pacers took a commanding lead.
"Bro willingly got her to come to INDIANA," joked another. "He's the one."
Of course, not everyone cared for the celebrity update.
"We follow NBA for the action not for the actors," pointed out a fan, while others offered a very simple "noboy cares."
The NBA is a league of stars, and as long as the Association gets attention and engagement, expect them to put A-listers front and center.

Brooklyn Nets fans turning to the darkside to hop on New York Knicks playoff bandwagon?
The hate between New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets fans is clearly not as strong as it is with their baseball counterparts. Because some Nets fans are happily jumping on the Knicks' 2025 playoff bandwagon. On Friday night, the Knicks achieved something they have not done in 25 years. They punched their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals with an absolutely dominant Game 6 victory over the Boston Celtics. The team is now four wins closer to bringing the city its first NBA title since 1973. And it seems this rare opportunity is uniting fans from New York's two pro basketball teams. Advertisement 'New York all day. During the season, it's Brooklyn only. I'm making an exception for tomorrow because the Nets aren't in it and I am rooting for New York,' a Nets fan at Brooklyn bar BK9 told the New York Post this week. New York fans are a rowdy bunch who are devoted to their teams, and only their teams. On Friday night, the New York Yankees and Mets kicked off the 2025 edition of the Subway Series, and there was no love for the other side in the Bronx. However, with a chance to win a championship, some fans are choosing to forego the hate and enjoy the positive vibes the Knicks are creating in the city over the last few weeks. Like, New York should just be interested in New York winning, should support the cause,' Charli of Brooklyn told the NYP. Advertisement 'I want the Knicks to win because I feel like we haven't seen so many people happy right now. New York is so stressful, everybody is going through a lot,' Cynthia, a nurse from Brooklyn, told the outlet. 'New York needs this. If they win, they're gonna put a smile on everyone's faces… I feel like the Knicks give people so much energy [and] I want to experience what my mother saw in 1999 and 2000. I wanna see that ocean of blue on Atlantic Avenue.' However, the Knicks' hot streak is still not enough to convert the most diehard of Nets fans. Because there are still haters abound in Gotham. 'I'm not going to be sad if Boston wins. That might sound very, you know, not good for Knicks fans. But I mean, I wouldn't be sad if they win,' Chris, a Nets fan, said. Indiana football lands 3-star offensive lineman from Big Ten rival's backyard
BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football coach Curt Cignetti hinted the his team's 2026 recruiting class would be getting a bit bigger in the coming weeks during an appearance at a recent booster event. The Hoosiers' latest verbal commitment fits that description in multiple ways. They landed a pledge from Eau Claire North High School offensive tackle Kenton Mondeau on Monday night. He's the 10th member of the signing class and is listed at 6 foot 7, 315 pounds on his Hudl profile. Mondeau has eight scholarship offers, including ones from Wake Forest, Iowa State and Air Force. He's rated three stars and No. 1,226 nationally, per On3's industry rankings. He's the No. 92 offensive tackle and fifth-best prospect in Wisconsin. Bob Bostad, IU's offensive line coach, is plenty familiar with the recruiting landscape in the state having spent 12 years as an assistant coach for the Badgers over two separate stints with the program. He also landed a verbal commitment from River Falls offensive lineman Samuel Simpson back in February. Simpson is the No. 1 ranked recruit in Wisconsin, per On3's industry rankings. Indiana will need to replace at least three scholarship offensive linemen who are in their final year of eligibility after the 2026 season, and starting left tackle Carter Smith could leave early for the NFL. 'Culture Shock': Our book on IU football's historic season makes a great Father's Day gift! The Hoosiers head into fall camp with a ton of experience up front, but will have plenty of competition as starting left guard Drew Evans looks to return from an injured Achilles while Kahlil Benson and Zen Michalski battle it out at right tackle.
