A Windsor judge is expected to rule today whether a Windsor Police Service staff sergeant is guilty of four counts of sexual assault.
Justice Jennifer Myers is scheduled to give a verdict in Ontario Court of Justice in the case of Ken Price, who's pleaded not guilty.
In the week-long trial last week, only two people testified — Price and the complainant, who claims Price sexually assaulted her when they both worked at the service between 2011 and 2015.
Defence lawyer Dan Scott focused last week on the complainant's memory, as she was unable to recall seasons or even years when the alleged incidents happened.
The complainant, meanwhile, testified that the incidents were too traumatic to record in her notes. Crown attorney Nicolas de Montigny argued that the woman was "credible and reliable" and "unshaken in cross examination."
There is a publication ban on the identity of the victim.

Sharpe, 57, was accused of raping the woman in October 2024 and in January. 'Both sides acknowledge a long-term consensual and tumultuous relationship,' Buzbee said. 'After protracted and respectful negotiations, I'm pleased to announce that we have reached a mutually agreed upon resolution.' Sharpe was a four-time All-Pro tight end who played on two Super Bowl-winning teams with Denver and one with Baltimore over 14 seasons from 1990 to 2003. He was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011. Sharpe retired as the NFL's all-time leader among tight ends in receptions (815), yards receiving (10,060) and touchdowns (62). Ex-Toronto elementary school librarian and volleyball coach charged with sexual assault

In a release on Friday, Toronto police said that between January 2018 and June 2019, the man was working at St. Clare Catholic School on Northcliffe Boulevard near St. Clair Avenue West. Police allege that during his employment, 'he engaged in a sexual relationship with a student who was a young person at the time.' Police said 67-year-old Dion Rugosi, of Toronto, turned himself in on Friday and has been charged with assault and four counts of sexual exploitation. He is due in a Toronto courtroom on Sept. 8. Investigators are concerned there may be more victims and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-1300 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
