First Godzilla LEGO Ideas Set Roars To Life

The third round of LEGO's Ideas selection has concluded, with two new fan-made designs officially chosen to be made into real sets: A hulking Godzilla build and a Rocket based on the classic 1950 Tintin comic series, Destination Moon .
Announced via a LEGO Ideas blog post, the two sets were chosen out of 54 qualifying product ideas, with the Godzilla build originally submitted by Matthew Esposito (aka MattE720) in December 2023, while the Tintin Rocket set was submitted by Alexis Dos Santos (aka TKEL86).
This will mark the first ever Godzilla set released by LEGO, an while its exact design, part count, pricing and release date has not been announced yet, fans can get a decent idea of what the final set might look like based on the original fan-made design, which will serve as the basis for the official build.
According to MattE720, his design was based on recent films like Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire , and considering that the LEGO Ideas line is primarily targeted at adult collectors, the final design should be appropriately large in scale, befitting of the King of the Monsters himself.
The Tintin rocket, on the other hand, features a faithful recreation of the iconic ship that appeared in the Destination Moon comic series, the sixteenth volume of The Adventures of Tintin , which was serialised weekly from March to September 1950 and April to October 1952 in Belgium's Tintin magazine.
These two approved sets mark the newest additions to the LEGO Ideas co-creation platform, which began in 2008 as LEGO Cuusoo and eventually relaunched as LEGO Ideas in 2014. Each set in the line begins as a fan submission, and upon reaching 10,000 supporters on LEGO's website, it enters the review stage, an extensive process to gain the final approval to be turned into an official set.
The LEGO Ideas Review Board is already hard at work on the next round of fan design reviews, a new batch of 57 product ideas that amassed 10,000 supporters each, with the final results due in September this year.

LEGO 75419 Death Star Diorama Set Leaked, Due Oct With 9,023 Pieces

Finally, after all the rumours around a new, larger, and of course more costly LEGO Death Star expected to land some time in 2025, we now have a first peek at a leaked image of the upcoming 9,023-piece LEGO 95419 Death Star diorama set that is expected to release in October 2025 for US$999.99. As can be seen below, instead of the usual sphere design that most fans have been getting over the years, we seem to be getting a cross-section slice of the Death Star instead, in a diorama style, with quite a number of mini figures included. LEGO has managed to squeeze in pretty much every iconic scene from the Death Star, even that corridor where Han Solo was running away from a bunch of chasing Stormtroopers, C-3PO in the control room, Luke and Leia making the jump, Obiwan Kenobi powering off the shield generators, Emperor Palpatine's throne room, Darth Vader's meditation chamber and so much more. There's bound to be plenty of Easter Eggs to be had too. As can be seen above, over the last 20 years, we started with a LEGO Death Star II, which had 3,449 pieces in 2005. With the previous Death Star set released in 2016, we now have a new set that more than doubles the piece count to a whopping 9,023 pieces. This set will then take the crown of the largest LEGO Star Wars set ever, with the current reigning champion being the LEGO Star Wars 75192 Millennium Falcon, clocking in at 7,541 pieces. According to the leaks, the set is expected to be 27.5 inches tall (70cm), 31 inches wide (79cm) and 10.5 inches deep (27cm). Many Star Wars fans are bound to be disappointed with this reveal, having given only a slice of a Death Star rather than a whole. But look on the bright side, We think this is great. Because of the way it's designed, it means we won't have to worry about finding shelf space for it. It would be PERFECT for mounting on a wall instead, and it would look even more impressive once we light it all up! We're definitely excited for its release, which is expected to be this October, but the only worrying factor is its expected US$999.99 price. Larian Studios Celebrates 2nd Anniversary Of 'Baldur's Gate 3' With Obscure Player Stats

It's common for video games to reveal player stats as part of milestone celebrations, but Larian Studios has switched things up for the second anniversary of Baldur's Gate 3 . While the studio previously highlighted major figures like the top three character classes per race and the most popular romance options, alongside fun nuggets of information (including the number of pats received for each pet and the percentage of players who had sex with Halsin's bear form), the focus is on obscure findings this time, which is as bizarre as it's in character. These achievements range from the percentage of players who defeated 20 opponents while drunk (2.07 percent) and defeating Gortash in Wyrm's Rock without activating any traps (3.87 percent, with more nimble-footed Steam players coming in at 4.37 percent) to 598 adventurers who adopted a child with Wyll. Elsewhere, 350 players re-specced Minsc into a Death Domain Cleric, and 6.24 percent managed to knock the dragon out of the sky midfight. There are also more general numbers — 1.1 million players have completed Baldur's Gate 3 in Tactician Mode, one of its highest difficulty settings, followed by almost half a million players in Honour Mode, which builds on Tactician Mode by adding tougher bosses, stricter rules, a single save slot, and more. Of the list, 4,647 players beat Honour Mode using only a Level 1 character, with 31,180 completing it as a Jack of All Trades. Here's a quick look at the stats: Additionally, Larian Studios celebrated 265 million mod downloads since last September's release of Patch 7 that introduced new evil endings cinematics, split-screen improvements, official modding tools, new Honour Mode Legendary Actions, and more. The RPG received its final major patch in April this year, rounding out an exceptional run with 12 new subclasses, cross-play, and a photo mode. Despite the overwhelming critical acclaim, studio head Swen Vincke confirmed that there are no DLC plans for the Dungeons & Dragons -inspired adventure, saying that it was the 'boring' option. 'It's boring, is really the honest answer,' he explained, 'We tried to be in the DLC business, talked about that with BG3 … there's just no passion… I mean, happy player, happy business, but you also need a happy developer for a happy player. What we're doing now makes developers way more happy.' Now that Baldur's Gate 3 has wrapped up, the team is 'deep in the trenches on [its] next thing', adding that the upcoming title is 'shaping up quite well' and that it is 'crazy-ambitious'. Details remain under wraps, but previous reports indicate that two RPG projects are in the works, and neither will be related to Baldur's Gate or Dungeons & Dragons in general. One of them, codenamed Excalibur , is set to be a departure from the studio's turn-based expertise, however. (L to R) Jovan Adepo as Dr. Saul Durand and Eiza González as Auggie Salazar in 3 Body Problem (2024) Netflix has kept the season two storyline under wraps, offering only a cryptic teaser: 'As the alien invasion nears, humanity prepares – on Earth and elsewhere.' 3 Body Problem adapts the acclaimed sci-fi trilogy by Chinese author Cixin Liu, chronicling humanity's first contact with an alien civilisation across centuries. Season one debuted to critical acclaim and topped Netflix's global TV charts for weeks. The streamer has since greenlit two additional seasons to complete the trilogy's arc. While Netflix hasn't announced an official release date, season two is expected to premiere in 2026.
