Saudi Interior Ministry, French Police Implement Advanced Security Training Program for Women
As part of its international partnership initiatives, the Saudi Ministry of Interior collaborated with the French National Police to implement a specialized female training program, the Saudi Press Agency said on Friday.
The training took place at the Women's Capacity Training Development Center within the General Directorate of Prisons.
The program sought to equip female trainees from different departments of the Ministry of Interior with advanced technical and security skills.

Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a Greek Orthodox church in the Syrian capital that killed at least 20 people, according to the Saudi Press Agency. The Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed the Kingdom's firm stance against any attacks targeting places of worship and the intimidation of innocent civilians. Saudi Arabia also sent its sincerest condolences to the family of the victims and the Syrian government. The attack targeted Mar Elias Church in Damascus, on June 22, killing at least 20 people and injuring 52. Syria's Ministry of Interior Affairs told CNN that the incident was carried out by a suicide bomber affiliated with a terrorist organization. 'An explosion occurred at the entrance of the church, resulting in the deaths of numerous martyrs and causing injuries to many others who were inside the church or in its immediate vicinity,' the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch said in a statement. After the attack, there were dead bodies, blood, significant destruction, and shattered glass and broken chairs inside the church, according to some videos circulating on Syrian social media. 'We offer our prayers for the repose of the souls of the martyrs, for the healing of the wounded, and for the consolation of our grieving faithful. We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to our faith and, through that steadfastness, our rejection of all fear and intimidation,' the church said. Saudi Ministry of Finance Joins 16th UN Anti-Corruption Session
The Ministry of Finance took part in the 16th session of meetings under the United Nations Convention against Corruption, held from June 16 to 20, 2025, at the United Nations headquarters in Vienna, Austria. During the session, the Ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's strong commitment to fostering integrity and fair competition in public procurement, as well as to deploying robust mechanisms to combat, detect, and prevent corruption. Central to these efforts is the implementation of key legal and institutional reforms, including the launch of the government procurement e-portal, Etimad. UN Anti-Corruption Session Etimad serves as a centralized platform through which all public tendering and procurement processes are conducted. It also enables stakeholders and the public to access comprehensive information on tenders, contracts, and related activities. Each government entity maintains a dedicated record, enhancing oversight and compliance with relevant regulations. The Saudi delegation also showcased the Kingdom's initiative to standardize technical systems across government bodies through the Unified Government Resources Planning System, which documents procurement activities from their initial stages—prior to public announcement—through completion. This promotes seamless integration and greater accountability. Further emphasizing its commitment to innovation in oversight, the Kingdom introduced Raqeeb, an advanced system that leverages artificial intelligence and data analytics to detect fraud and irregularities throughout the procurement process. Raqeeb is designed to identify practices such as bid rigging, collusion, price manipulation, favoritism, and the use of fictitious entities. It enables dynamic monitoring and swift intervention while maintaining the highest standards of data protection. The Ministry's participation in these international meetings reflects Saudi Arabia's active role in global anti-corruption efforts and its dedication to exchanging knowledge and best practices in alignment with the UN Convention. Saudi Arabia deports 7,238 illegal residents in a week
Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — A total of 12,066 illegal residents were arrested in Saudi Arabia in a week. The arrests were made during the inspections, carried out by the security forces in collaboration with the relevant government agencies, during the period between June 12 and June 18, the Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday. Those who were arrested include 7,333 violators of the Residency Law, 3,060 violators of the Border Security Law, and 1,673 violators of the Labor Law. The ministry said that a total of 7,238 illegal residents were deported while 6,244 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents and 2,209 violators were referred to complete their travel reservations. The total number of people who were arrested while trying to cross the border into the Kingdom accounted for 1,206, of whom 32 percent were Yemeni nationals, 65 percent Ethiopian nationals, and three percent belonged to other nationalities. Some 21 people, involved in giving transportation, shelter, and employment for violators, were also arrested. A total of 13,238 illegal residents, including 12,015 men and 1,223 women, are currently undergoing various phases of legal procedures as part of punitive measures against them. The Ministry of Interior has warned that any person, who facilitates the illegal entry of individuals into the Kingdom, transports them on its territory, provides them with shelter or any other assistance or service may be penalized with up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to SR1 million. It noted that the vehicles used for transportation or houses used for giving shelter will be confiscated. The ministry urged the public to report any cases of violation by calling the number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province and the numbers 999 and 996 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.
