EXCLUSIVE Fears grow for missing Brit, 65, suffering from Parkinson's Disease who has gone missing in Paris and who needs medicine to be able to walk and talk

Daily Mail24-05-2025

A 'vulnerable' British man with advanced Parkinson's disease has gone missing in Paris after becoming separated from his brother when the pair left a restaurant.
Relatives of Chris Arnheim, 65, are increasingly worried about his wellbeing after the tennis fan travelled to Paris to watch the French Open earlier this week.
Accompanied by his brother, Mr Arnheim went for dinner in the Marais district and they were heading back to their accommodation when they became separated on Rue de Turenne.
They had been returning to Rue des Francs-Bourgeois at around 9pm on Thursday when Mr Arnheim went missing.
'We are obviously very concerned about him,' Mr Arnheim's son-in-law Tom told MailOnline.
'He is very vulnerable. We're all really worried about him and we want him safely home.'
Mr Arnheim, from Chislehurst, southeast London, was last seen wearing grey trousers, a blue-green shirt, a dark blue cardigan and a navy-black coat.
The 65-year-old, who wears glasses, is described as Caucasian and around 180cm tall with a thin stature.
The family say Mr Arnheim's Parkinson's is 'quite advanced', severely impacting his ability to speak, walk and causing serious confusion.
'His medication alleviates some of the symptoms to some extent but the time at which he went missing, it wasn't long after that his meds would have stopped being affective,' Tom said.
'Because of his condition it can make it very hard for him for him to communicate. I should say as well his condition can lead to him being quite confused.
'In a situation where he's in an unfamiliar place, and separated from his brother, it's likely that he is very confused.'
Mr Arnheim did not have any of his required medications on him at the time he went missing.
His wife and two daughters have travelled out to Paris to look for him, after his brother Tim spent the whole of Thursday night trying in vain to track him down.
The disappearance has been reported to police and the British Consulate, but almost 48 hours on, the family is becoming more and more concerned.
'We're just hoping that he's been picked up by someone who has helped him,' Tom said. 'We want his photo out there to bring him home.'
Anyone who thinks they have seen Mr Arnheim or has any information about his whereabouts are asked to urgently contact French authorities or his family.

Human remains found in search for Izabela Zablocka who disappeared 15 years ago

Human remains have been found as part of an investigation into the disappearance of a Polish woman 15 years ago. Izabela Zablocka was living in the Normanton area of Derby but lost contact with her family in August 2010, when she was 30, and has never been found. However, new information came to light last week and a murder investigation was launched. Derbyshire Police said remains believed to belong to Ms Zablocka had now been discovered in the garden of a property on Princes Street in Normanton. A 39-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of murder was re-arrested on Monday. Two other women, aged 39 and 43, and a 41-year-old man arrested last week remain on bail. Detective Inspector Kane Martin said formal identification hadn't yet taken place but it's believed the remains belong to Ms Zablocka. "As such, we have spoken with Izabela's family in Poland, and they are aware. Our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time," he said. "Identification of the remains is likely to be a lengthy process, but we will issue updates when we are able." Police will remain at the address for now as they try to gather more evidence on Ms Zablocka's death. A £20,000 reward is being offered until 27 August for information that leads to a conviction. Anyone who wants to get in touch is urged to contact the Crimestoppers charity. DI Martin added: "We know that someone out there will have information about Izabela that may help us understand what happened to her, and urge anyone who saw, spoke to, or heard anything about Izabela in July or August 2010 to come forward.
