Trainer Denim Wynen saddles up Sunshine Law at Rosehill
Yulong has been a major player at the sales in recent years but trainer Denim Wynen hopes she can strike gold with a galloper the racing powerhouse let go at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday.
Wynen is preparing to unleash new addition Sunshine Law for the first time in the Congratulations James McDonald Benchmark 78 Handicap (1400m).
Sunshine Law was formerly trained by Annabel and Rob Archibald for whom she showed promise, winning her last two starts for the stable at Canberra and Hawkesbury.
But the daughter of Alabama Express was put under the hammer at Inglis Digital in late May where Wynen's client Steve Morris snapped her up for $85,000.

'It's early days but she is going to be one of the better horses I've trained so far that's for sure,' Wynen said.
'I am not sure why Yulong sold her. She has turned up and she is sound.
'She works really good. My trackwork rider Jess Rae has quite high raps on her.
'She has to take that to the races what she is doing at home but she is doing everything right and just does it with ease to be honest.
'She trialled really well in Sydney but has to take it to the races.'
Sunshine Law came to Rosehill Gardens for her only trial this preparation where she attacked the line to finish third in a 1030m heat.
Early scratchings will see Sunshine Law, rated a $23 chance, only take on a small field in her stable debut which Wynen concedes will be short of her best and her toughest assignment yet.
Sunshine Law was a winner in a Class 1 over a mile before winning at Benchmark 64 level over 1800m.

'We are kind of throwing her in the deep end first-up in a 78 but the owners have thrown some good money at her,' Wynen said.
'She is going to be that class of course.
'We can see has already won over 1800m and she will definitely step up in trip but it is no use starting her over anything less than 1400m.
'She trialled well over 1000m and Ash Morgan, who rode on in that trial, the only reason he got off was that he was already booked to ride (Super Norwest) with his connection with Kurrinda Bloodstock but he couldn't have had higher raps on the horse.'
Based out of Wyong, Wynen's training career is still in its early years and she is hoping to get her first metropolitan Saturday winner on the board this weekend.
Wynen could have already got on the board at Rosehill with returning mare Monkhana ($21) poised to line-up in the Midway Benchmark 72 Handicap (1400m).
Monkhana started her career in New Zealand before arriving in Australia late last year and showed improved performances in her second preparation at her new home with two wins in six starts last preparation.

The daughter of Mongolian Khan was a winner over 1400m at Hawkesbury first-up last preparation and Wynen expects she will relish the conditions.
'She will go around and she likes the wet track as well,' Wynen said.
'She is drawn good enough to head there.
'I thought she trialled well in the same trial at Rosehill and deserves a crack at town now after her few wins at the provincials last prep. She has only had 13 starts now for a few wins.
'She has come back bigger and better this prep.'
Apprentice Anna Roper will pilot both of Wynen's contenders on Saturday.

Clive Palmer accuses solicitor Sam Iskander of Mineralogy ‘theft'
Billionaire Clive Palmer says he has reported his long-time solicitor to police, alleging the lawyer stole $30m in legal fees from his mining company. In an explosive written statement released on Thursday night, former federal MP Mr Palmer alleged that Sam Iskander had stolen about $30m from the businessman's company Mineralogy between 2016 and last month. Mr Palmer said Mineralogy would launch legal action in the Supreme Court on Friday seeking an order to freeze Mr Iskander's assets and said he had reported the matter to police. 'This is the biggest individual fraud in Queensland history and it casts serious doubts over our judicial system,'' Mr Palmer said. A mobile number for Mr Iskander was disconnected and the website for his law firm Alexander Law was not functional on Thursday night. Mr Iskander did not respond to requests for comment via email and voicemail left on the firm's answering service. The Queensland Law Society said on Thursday night that the body was 'aware of the situation and can confirm that Mr Iskander has surrendered his practising certificate and is no longer in practice'. 'Our priority in this situation is to protect the public and execute our duties as co-regulator of the legal profession in Queensland,' a law society spokesman said. 'We are taking all necessary steps to do this in accordance with responsibilities under the Legal Profession Act.' The society's online register of solicitors said Mr Iskander was registered as a solicitor in 2004 and he had an 'unrestricted' practising certificate. Mr Palmer has, at times, made outlandish statements. In 2022, he and then West Australian premier Mark McGowan were both awarded minor damages for defaming each other. The Australian does not suggest Mr Palmer's allegations against Mr Iskander are true, only that they have been made. The Australian understands Mr Palmer claims the alleged offending was discovered when he was compiling a tax return and sought more details about a barrister's fees. He allegedly found that Mr Iskander had told him the barrister's fees were five times more than they actually were, and then pocketed the rest. A forensic audit going back to 2016 allegedly found Mr Iskander had taken $30m, by inflating alleged bills relating to legal cases that he ran for Mr Palmer. Mr Iskander has represented the former federal MP for years, including during Mr Palmer's chequered ownership of the Queensland Nickel refinery in north Queensland and the dismissal of hundreds of workers. In 2019, the refinery said Mr Iskander's law firm was managing the trust account for unpaid workers' entitlements. As recently as January this year, Mr Iskander was filing documents to the High Court on behalf of Mr Palmer in his legal action against the Commonwealth of Australia. That case related to the registration of Mr Palmer's United Australia Party and a dispute with the Australian Electoral Commission. Alexander Law was listed as Mr Palmer's solicitors when the judgment was handed down in May. The former member for the Queensland Sunshine Coast seat of Fairfax lost and was ordered to pay legal costs. In an interview on Thursday night, Mr Palmer said the internal audit of legal fees had led to a complaint being made to police against Mr Iskander and civil legal action, which would be filed on Friday. 'Tomorrow (Friday) in the Supreme Court of Queensland, we're moving against him to get a freezing order against his assets, right?'' Mr Palmer said. 'And it's clear that he's applied a lot of our funds to purchase property throughout Australia, and we have launched caveats on those properties. I can confirm on the record that we've made a complaint to police, yeah, and that they're investigating right now.' Questions were put to Queensland Police but a response was not received before deadline. NRL updates: Brisbane Broncos hamstring injuries, Canberra Raiders and Penrith Panthers win
The Brisbane Broncos could be without five-eighth Ezra Mam and outside back Selwyn Cobbo for the rest of the NRL season, but have received some positive news on captain Adam Reynolds. The Broncos sent Reynolds, Mam and winger Selwyn Cobbo for scans on Friday after the trio suffered hamstring injuries during Brisbane's 22-2 loss to the Melbourne Storm on Thursday night. On Friday, the Broncos said Reynolds will miss four weeks, but Mam and Cobbo will be out until midway through the finals, at least. "Adam Reynolds suffered a hamstring injury in last night's game against the Storm and will not return to play for a period of four weeks," the club said. "Scans have confirmed Ezra Mam and Selwyn Cobbo each suffered more significant hamstring injuries during the Storm game and are not likely to return to play for a period in excess of six weeks." A hat-tick to five-eighth Ethan Strange has guided the Canberra Raiders to a 28-12 win over the Manly Sea Eagles, re-establishing the Green Machine at the top of the NRL ladder. Entering the match second after Melbourne's win over the Broncos on Thursday, the Raiders produced a gritty defensive performance to secure their 10th win in their past 11 matches. Manly had 56 per cent of possession and had several attacking sets on the Raiders' goal line, but the Green Machine set up a blockade for much of the match. Strange was a constant threat in attack for the Raiders, scoring three tries in an excellent performance. Attempting to tackle Canberra forward Josh Papalii, Trbojevic's head hit Papalii's shoulder flush, sending him to the ground. The former NSW Origin captain failed his Head Injury Assessment, ruling him out of next week due to concussion protocol. Earlier, the Penrith Panthers extended their winning streak in the NRL to nine matches with a comprehensive 48-12 win over the Newcastle Knights. The Panthers ran in nine tries in Newcastle in the 36-point win to move into the NRL's top four. Penrith will finish the round in the top four, should the New Zealand Warriors lose to the Canterbury Bulldogs. The Panthers have not lost since round 12 when the Knights defeated the premiers 25-6 in Bathurst, condemning the Penrith side to outright last on the ladder.
