Enzo Maresca's Chelsea are set to take on Maher Kanzari's Esperance Sportive de Tunis in the FIFA Club World Cup - here's the kick-off time, streaming details and team news
Chelsea continue their Club World Cup campaign when they face Esperance Tunis. The Blues got off to a winning start at the 32-team tournament in the United States with a 2-0 win over Los Angeles FC as Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez found the scoresheet.
However, a shock 3-1 loss to Flamengo followed in the Premier League side's second outing, with Neto's early opener being followed by second-half goals from Bruno Henrique, Danilo and Wallace Yan. Adding insult to injury, Nicolas Jackson also found himself handed a red card in the 68th minute - just four minutes after he was substituted on - for a high challenge on Ayrton Lucas.
In a statement apologising for his actions after the match, Jackson wrote: "I want to say sorry. To the club, the staff, my teammates, and all the fans watching, I let you down. Another red card...and honestly, I'm so angry at myself.
"I work very hard every day to help the team not to put is in this kind of situation. I still don't fully understand how it happened. But one thing is clear: it wasn't intentional. Just a football moment that went the wrong way. No excuses."
On the flip side, ES Tunis also head into Tuesday's fixture with one win and one loss to their name for the tournament thus far. The Tunisian side suffered a 2-0 loss to Flamengo in their tournament opener before securing a 1-0 win over LA FC on Friday.
As a result, they currently sit third in the standings in their group. With a space in the round of 16 up for grabs, Mirror Football breaks down all the details UK-based fans need to watch the match.
What time does ES Tunis vs Chelsea kick off?
The Group D clash between ES Tunis and Chelsea takes place at the Lincoln Financial Field - a 67,000-capacity stadium which is home to the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL. Kick-off is at 9pm local time on Tuesday, June 24, which is 2am UK time on Wednesday, June 25.
What channel is Chelsea vs ES Tunis on?
Channel 5 has picked up the TV rights to a select number of games taking place at the Club World Cup, with Chelsea's final group game one of them. Coverage starts at 1am on Wednesday morning and will run through until 4:25am.
How can I stream ES Tunis vs Chelsea?
Elsewhere, DAZN are the tournament's main rights holders, and the streaming service will show each and every game live for free across the UK. To make the most of the content, viewers must sign up to DAZN's Freemium service before they can tune in via the DAZN App on their smart TV, phone, tablet or laptop. Ad-free coverage is also available for £14.99.
What's the Chelsea team news?
Enzo Maresca has a fully fit 24-man squad to pick and choose from for the duration of the tournament, but a few big-name players have been left out completely. For example, Raheem Sterling and Joao Felix were left at home as the rest of the team travelled to North America after their respective loan spells at Arsenal and AC Milan.
Wesley Fofana was also left in the UK following hamstring surgery in April, while Mykhaylo Mudryk remains suspended as a result of an adverse finding in a urine sample. Meanwhile, as a result of his red card, Jackson will not be available for selection against ES Tunis as he has been hit with a minimum of a one-game ban. As per FIFA's guidance: "Any player or official given a red card will miss their team's subsequent match.
"In addition, further sanctions – e.g. an additional suspension or a fine – may be imposed. Red cards will not be wiped at any point during the tournament. If a player is sent off during the semi-finals, he will be suspended for the final."
However, as already proven at this summer's tournament, FIFA's Disciplinary Committee has the power to lengthen a suspension should they deem an offence incredibly serious. For context, Boca Juniors stars Ander Herrera and Nicolas Figal were given four-match bans after they were sent off in their side's opener with Benfica. Should Jackson only serve a one-match ban, he will be able to return to play if Chelsea make their way through to the round of 16.

Arsenal 'to complete first signing of the summer this week' as they progress in cut-price deal for Chelsea star
Arsenal are set to complete their first signing of the summer transfer window this week, according to a report. The Gunners are looking to improve their fortunes as they again went trophyless last season, finishing runners up in the Premier League and falling at the semi-final stage in the Champions League. They are in their first window under new sporting director Andrea Berta, and have been chasing a striker as they look to plug a gap that has long escaped them at the top end of the pitch. This week, though, according to BBC Sport, Mikel Arteta 's side will instead complete the signing of a goalkeeper that is expected to be back-up to David Raya. That goalkeeper is Kepa Arrizabalaga, who joined the Blues in 2017 but has had a difficult time at the club, and is now finally set to depart on a permanent basis. If the move is completed, he will become the first Gunners signing of the summer and play back-up to countryman David Raya between the sticks. The 30-year-old - who has a staggeringly low £5million release clause - spent last season on loan with Bournemouth and kept eight clean sheets in his 31 Premier League appearances. Back in 2018, the Blues splashed out £72m on Kepa to snap him up from Athletic Bilbao, which represented a world record fee for a goalkeeper. Mikel Arteta is believed to be keen on hiring a deputy to his current No 1 in between the sticks. As such, Arsenal are close to making Arrizabalaga their latest arrival at the club ahead of bigger moves this summer. Arrizabalaga's meagre fee will see him move on from Chelsea for a fee around 14 times less than his initial move to the west London club. Last in action for Chelsea in 2023, Arrizabalaga featured 163 times for the club, keeping 59 clean sheets and winning four major honours. The Spaniard was also sent out on loan to Real Madrid in 2023, making 14 appearances. After a successful loan spell, Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola expressed an interest in keeping Arrizabalaga at the club. 'I think it is a matter of negotiating with Kepa himself and with Chelsea,' he said. 'I think both sides are very happy with his loan spell.' But it appears Arsenal have beaten the Cherries to Arrizabalaga's signing, making the shot-stopper their first under Berta ahead of potential moves for the likes of Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres later on this summer.

Boca Juniors draw with Auckland City, exit Club World Cup
June 24 (Reuters) - Boca Juniors were held to a 1-1 draw by Auckland City and failed to reach the knockout stage of the Club World Cup on Tuesday in steamy Nashville, Tennessee, where the match was suspended for nearly 50 minutes due to stormy weather. Boca came into the game needing both a convincing win against already-eliminated Auckland City to overturn a seven-goal difference with Benfica and for the Portuguese club to lose to German champions Bayern Munich in the other Group C fixture. Auckland City had just drawn level shortly after the break when lightning in the area forced players off the field. By the time play resumed, Benfica had secured a 1-0 win to qualify top of Group C and reach the last 16 along with Bayern. Boca went ahead in the first half courtesy of an own goal by Auckland City goalkeeper Nathan Garrow while Christian Gray drew his side level in the 52nd minute with a header that sailed inside the right post.

Lyon to appeal against relegation to Ligue 2 over financial problems
The seven-time French champions were hit with a provisional relegation back in November after racking up massive debts, and although they have since sold a number of first-team players, French football watchdog the DNCG upheld the relegation following meetings on Tuesday. The decision was announced by the French Football League (LFP) on Tuesday evening. Monaco, Nantes and Paris FC will face no further action. Lyon quickly announced they would appeal against what the club called an 'incomprehensible decision'. While the decision could yet be overturned, the relegation of a club that won seven consecutive titles between 2001-02 and 2007-08, and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League as recently as 2020, will send shockwaves through French football. If the relegation is upheld, Lyon would be replaced in the top flight by Reims, who lost the relegation play-off to Metz. Lyon president John Textor told L'Equipe last week he was confident the club's financial position had been resolved, having said back in November there was 'no chance' the club would be relegated. Textor is in the process of selling his shares in Premier League club Crystal Palace, who are at risk of being denied their place in the Europa League next season as Lyon have also qualified after finishing sixth in Ligue 1. A sale to Woody Johnson, owner of the NFL's New York Jets, has been agreed but the Premier League is yet to ratify the deal and Johnson must yet pass the Premier League's owners' and directors' test. L'Olympique Lyonnais prend acte de la décision incompréhensible rendue par la DNCG ce soir et confirme qu'il fera immédiatement appel 🗞 Le communiqué 👇 — Olympique Lyonnais (@OL) June 24, 2025 After receiving the provisional relegation last year, Lyon sold the likes of Said Benrahma, Anthony Lopes and Maxence Caqueret in January, and this summer they have already sold Rayan Cherki to Manchester City. In a statement, Lyon announced they would fight against the ruling. 'Olympique Lyonnais acknowledges the incomprehensible decision handed down by the DNCG this evening and confirms that it will immediately appeal,' the statement said. 'Over the past few months, we have worked closely with the DNCG, meeting all of its demands with equity investments in excess of the amounts requested. 'Thanks to equity contributions from our shareholders and the sale of Crystal Palace, our cash position has improved significantly, and we have more than sufficient resources for the 2025-26 season. 'With proven funds and sporting success that has earned us a place in European competition two years in a row, we sincerely do not understand how an administrative decision could have relegated such a major French club. 'We will appeal to demonstrate our ability to provide the necessary financial resources to ensure OL's continued presence in Ligue 1.'
