‘I'm part of the community as much as the postman or the milkman' – Ireland's ice-cream vans as beloved as ever despite changing tastes
Meandering through the summer streets while blaring tunes out through a speaker, the ice-cream van still has the allure to propel you out your front door for a taste of summer.
'I'd say 60pc are probably kids and 40pc are adults,' says Dan Clement (38) from Crumlin in Dublin, speaking about the beloved customer base of his ice-cream van.

Kerry-based musician Liam O'Connor ‘honoured' as he and family get set to play Electric Picnic again
He will perform twice across two different days, sharing the bill with an impressive line-up of Irish and international stars including Hozier, Kings of Leon, Becky Hill, Sam Fender, Chappell Roan, Mundy and Orla Gartland. His career highlights include collaborations with Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance, Spandau Ballet's Tony Hadley, Boy George, the famed Artane Band, the late Christy Dignam, actress Maureen O'Hara, actor Patrick Bergin, and many more. He has sold out tours across the United States, Scandinavia, Italy and Australia, and played at some of the world's most prestigious venues, including the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Radio City Music Hall in New York, Sydney Opera House, and Wembley Arena. His live audiences have included crowds of 170,000 at All-Ireland Football and Hurling Finals, as well as fans at Thomond Park Stadium for the Munster vs Australia rugby clash.

Noel Gallagher returns to Croke Park, having previously played GAA at the venue
Noel and Liam Gallagher will perform their first of two sold-out shows tonight as Oasis return to Irish shores for the first time since 2008. In total, it'll be Noel's fourth time playing at GAA HQ, having previously supported U2 and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. However, Noel graced the hollowed turf for the first time in 1983 to play a Gaelic Football exhibition. The Gallagher brothers are the sons of Irish parents and have strong roots in the country, so much so that Noel played some GAA growing up. In a resurfaced photo, Gallagher can be seen lining out for Manchester club Oisin's who played Kilmacud Crokes in an exhibition back in 1983. All-Ireland winning captain Richie English was asked to coach the side ahead of the game and told the Irish Independent that he didn't get Noel up singing for everyone. "I would have put out a few flags and got them running up and down. I didn't get Noel to sing a song or anything! They just ran up and down and I did some drills with them, some passing, skill games and a few little things like that. Then, there was a photograph of the team taken in Croke Park and I was asked to sit in." The Gallagher brothers have always spoke affectionately of their strong Irish roots with Dublin a regular stop on either of their respective tours. Some 160,000 are expected to flock to GAA HQ on Saturday and Sunday night for the concerts and concert goers are urged to get in early to avoid crowd congestion and give ample time to get to the stadium via public transport. Oasis will be supported by Richard Ashcroft from The Verve and Cash, formed by John Power after he left The La's. The band's setlist on the tour has included hits such as Cigarettes And Alcohol, Wonderwall, and Don't Look Back In Anger. Concertgoers have also been treated to classics such as Acquiesce, Some Might Say, and Morning Glory, as well as Don't Look Back in Anger, Wonderwall, and Champagne Supernova.

Roy Keane's hilarious take on Oasis as band set for Croke Park shows
Tens of thousands of ecstatic Oasis fans are preparing to welcome their heroes to Croke Park this weekend, with the band playing two sold-out shows at GAA Headquarters. The rock and roll superstars will play to 80,000 people at the famous venue on both Saturday and Sunday nights. Roy Keane previously gave a hilarious take on the band, who are both Manchester City fans. 'Do you know what, for me, they have too many Man City vibes," Keane said on The Overlap. 'We all know they're Man City fans. They don't have to keep telling us. Just sing! They're good!' The concerts will be the first time Oasis have played in Ireland since their high-profile split in 2009. They announced their reunion tour in August of last year. They have already played shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London and Edinburgh and will jet off across the Atlantic Ocean after the Dublin gigs to perform in Toronto, Chicago, New Jersey and Los Angeles and Mexico before returning to Wembley Stadium in London. Later this year, they will play in South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil.
