Royal Dubai relishes extra distance on first start for Owen Burrows

Previously trained by Marco Botti, the five-year-old has been a consistent operator in good company at distances around a mile, but after a switch to Lambourn to join Burrows, he tried a mile and a quarter for the first time since his three-year-old days.
The 10-1 outsider of five in the hands of Callum Rodriguez, he relished conditions to see off Brian Meehan's 5-2 chance Rashabar for Listed honours, teeing up further action at this trip.
Burrows said: 'I'm very fortunate to get him, he's been with us a month and came in great shape from Marco's.
'The owner sportingly left it to me and I just felt at a mile he was looking exposed and with his pedigree it might be worth trying him over a little bit further again.
'He had a fair bit to find at the ratings and we were hoping for a drop more rain, but it was really pleasing and I'm still learning about him to be honest.
'He's a Listed winner now and we'll have to look at the programme book, but there's the Rose of Lancaster (at Haydock) on August 9 which we could have a look at and this is just a great start.'

Heavy favourite Ruler Of Time is BOOSTED to 6/4 to win by one or more lengths at Kempton tonight

The Charlie Appleby-trained Ruler Of Time is a huge odds-on favourite at 8/13 to finish first past the post in this evening's seven furlong affair at Kempton (18:35). Ruler Of Time impressed on debut at Newbury in July - finishing second by just a little over a length from talented prospect Gewan. Meanwhile, if you're anticipating Ruler Of Time to be victorious in comfortable fashion - there are BOOSTED odds of 6/4 on offer for the two-year-old to win by one or more lengths. For those tipping an upset - Blue Aria and National History round out the three favourites in the win or each way market at 5/2 and 13/2 respectively. Lastly, Marco Botti's Looka and Andrew Balding's Lord d'Or are fourth and fifth-favourite, with the pair priced at 12/1 and 14/1. Looka didn't particularly impress on his debut at Haydock in July - finishing sixth in a field of nine. Can the colt improve on that performance and cause a major boilover at Kempton? We will have to wait to find out. Argentine Tango booked for Lowther Stakes bid

The Mattmu filly has kept on improving all season, winning a Listed race at Newmarket before finishing third to Venetian Sun in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes. Last week at Goodwood she found only the Ger Lyons-trained Lady Iman too good in the Molecomb Stakes over five furlongs and will step back up to six at York for the Great Habton trainer. 'She's come out of Goodwood really well. She's tough, she must be because she's had seven races now and keeps coming back for more,' said Easterby. 'You get racehorses every now and again who just want to gallop and she is one of them. 'She'll go back up to six furlongs now, she definitely runs in the Lowther next and she won't be without a chance. 'She's been a bit of a star for us already this season.'
