Anna Pawlowska led No. 8 Poland with three points and three rebounds.
The Canadian women bounced back from a tough 21-15 semifinal loss earlier in the day to the second-seeded Netherlands, which went on to defeat No. 12 Mongolia 15-9 in the gold-medal game.
Canada, which went 2-2 in group play, beat Japan 18-6 in Friday's play-in game before edging Olympic silver medallist Spain 11-10 in the quarterfinals on Saturday. The Canadians had lost their last two group stage games before making a run into the semifinal.

Crozon also delivered a strong performance against the Dutch with 10 points with five rebounds.
The Canadian squad was without star players Katherine Plouffe and twin sister Michelle, who missed the tournament due to minor injuries and scheduling conflicts. Brown and Grant-Allen stepped up in their absence.
Canada took home silver at the 2022 edition before losing the Olympic bronze-medal game to the United States last summer in Paris.
The Canadian men's squad failed to reach the World Cup playoffs in Ulaanbaatar after going 1-3 in group play.

Wisconsin basketball guard projected as one of nation's leading scorers
With college football just around the corner, preview work for the college basketball season is taking a back seat. However, Wisconsin fans have reason to be excited for the 2025-2026 campaign. The Badgers are expected to be one of the better teams in both the Big Ten and the entire sport. One of the players who will determine Wisconsin's success is junior guard John Blackwell, who is poised to make a significant jump as the team's top option. According to a website dedicated to college basketball data and analysis, Blackwell is projected as one of the highest scoring players in the sport this winter. Torvik has Blackwell with the ninth-highest projected points per game total, just below Ohio State's Bruce Thornton and BYU's AJ Dybantsa. Wisconsin's transfer portal class of Nick Boyd, Andrew Rohde, Austin Rapp and others will be crucial for the team's success this upcoming season. Still, roster retention remains the most important thing in the current age of college sports. Returning contributors like Blackwell, Nolan Winter, and Jack Janicki should have just as much of a say in the team's success. Expect a big year from Blackwell and the rest of his Badgers teammates. 2025 Unadilla Motocross 450 Qualification: Jett Lawrence tops first session
NEW BERLIN, New York: Jett Lawrence (2:11.757) took his time getting up to speed and was one of the last riders to start his first lap, but he rocketed to the top of the chart immediately. He fell back to fourth for a few laps and then put in a heater at the end to land on top with a lap more than 1.6 seconds faster than the field. Justin Cooper (2:13.443) slotted into second as he looks to reclaim his top-five momentum after finishing just outside that mark last week. Eli Tomac (2:15.438) was nearly two seconds further back in third, but he was on top of the chart for a while, indicating he may have mistimed when to put in his fast lap. Ken Roczen (2:15.538) returned to action this week to shake some rust off before the SuperMotocross playoffs with the fourth-fastest time. Jorge Prado (2:15.769) rounded out the top five.
