A former Kia garage, the site on Stratford Road, Warwick, has been left abandoned since the dealerships sudden closure in 2023.
A change of use
Planning documents said one unit would become a convenience shop and the other would be taken over by a small business.
Parking spaces and electric vehicle charging spaces were also planned for the site.

The plans for the site were due to go in front of Warwick District
They were then slated to go before the committee again on May 20 but were once again knocked back.
Plans were taken off the Tuesday meeting's agenda to "enable the applicant to clarify certain aspects of their proposal."

According to Business Rescue Expert there are multiple reasons why car dealerships are folding across the UK.
The first major factor is rising online car sales which are beating in-person sales at dealerships.
With an extensive range of comparison and second-hand sites to chose from, may car buyers don't even step foot into a dealership anymore.
Secondly, the actual cost to physically run the sites has soared.
Rent, wages and energy bills have all been increasing for roughly the past five years, putting many out of pocket.
Car manufacturing across the globe was also hit by a semiconductor chip shortage in 2022 which made it difficult to produce new motors.
The high demand with limited supply created a backlog, which although has eased, is still having an impact on the industry.
A third reason for recent closures is the shift to electric cars.
They are becoming more popular, given the Government initiative to be Net Zero in 2050.
The industry is also affected when companies merge or are bought by rivals.
This may lead to some independent names falling victim to the ongoing spate of closures.
Residents concerns with the plans ranged from opening hours to access safety to parking.
Issues were raised with what the second unit would become as well.

Plans suggested a hairdresser or a funeral parlour but no business was confirmed to be taking on the second unit.
There were a total of 32 objections, including one duplicate, to the plans.
The majority raised similar issues with parking, safety and no need for more retail units being top concerns.

By comparison only 13 support comments were received, on being a duplicate.
Top factors sited by supporters were the support for the local economy and the provision of jobs.

EasyGo rebrands as EZO amid continued expansion
Irish electric vehicle charging network EasyGo is rebranding as EZO as the company continues to expand rapidly around the country. Over the coming weeks EasyGo's user app will be updated to EZO. E-ZO said today that 110,000 drivers are now using its platform, adding that it is on course to reach 150,000 users in the UK and Ireland by the end of the year. It said it has increased its number of DC charge points by 42% in the first half of the year, as well as increasing its staff numbers from 35 to more than 70. Looking ahead, the business said it has a secure pipeline of over 150 key locations for rapid charger installations, including more than 20 charging hubs, over the next 12 months, with deployment already underway. Backed by Rubicon Capital Advisors, the company has also made a major leap into the UK market and recently secured a £300m 20-year deal to power Scotland's Net Zero transition. The contract will see the installation and management of over 1,300 EV chargers across the Highlands, Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray Councils, marking the company's largest infrastructure project to date. CEO Ollie Chatten said that surpassing 110,000 users and the company's recent growth to the UK is a clear signal that drivers and communities are choosing the company as their trusted EV charging partner. "With user numbers rising fast and major partnerships underway, we are poised to lead the EV transition at scale. We are ready for what's next, and we're building the infrastructure to match the pace of change," he said. Mr Chatten said that EZO's growth is a clear sign not only of the strength of its own position, but of the broader trajectory of the EV sector. "We're here to lead with conviction, and to help shape a future that's already unfolding. We see sustained momentum, growing infrastructure demand, and a deepening commitment to electrification," he said. "With today's official unveiling of our rebrand, we are underscoring our commitment to delivering smart, accessible, and sustainable EV charging solutions that meet the needs of everyday drivers and communities," the CEO said. "It is more than a name change. It reflects who we are - becoming a smarter, more scalable and more connected network for the future of electric mobility," he added.

Official launch of first large-scale solar power project
Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment Darragh O'Brien has officially launched the first large-scale solar power project developed as a joint venture between ESB and Bord na Móna. Timahoe North Solar Farm, located in the townland of Timahoe in Co Kildare about 3km south of Johnstownbridge, has a maximum power potential of 108 megawatts of electricity. It is enough to power about 25,000 homes in ideal circumstances. The project is the first of four major solar farms to be co-developed by the ESB and Bord na Móna as part of a wider 500 megawatt solar power partnership agreement signed in 2017. It has been fully operational since earlier this year. A Community Benefit Fund has been established as part of the operation of the site. The fund will be used for economic, environmental, social and cultural wellbeing of the local community. Official figures from EirGrid show solar power contributed a record 798 megawatts of electricity from grid-connected solar farms last month. That is 4% more solar power than the previous monthly high. Ireland now has over 1.6 gigawatts of solar PV capacity installed and solar power is the fastest growing renewable electricity source in the country. It is highly complementary to wind generation, provides a more stable and balanced energy supply over time, and is helping to rapidly transform Ireland's energy system. The official figures show that close to 6% of all the electricity used in Ireland in July this year was supplied directly from the sun. Minister O'Brien described the Timahoe North Solar Farm as a big step in the growth of solar power in Ireland. "For the midlands region, it is yet another example of how this part of the country can support Ireland as a whole to achieve its ambitious climate targets. "Last year, 40% of Ireland's electricity supply came from renewable sources. I look forward to seeing more projects like this being delivered as they are so important for our transition to clean, secure, and more affordable electricity," he said. ESB Chief Executive Paddy Hayes said the project will help support ESB's Net Zero carbon emissions targets. "Solar is an increasingly important part of Ireland's energy mix and this successful investment at Timahoe North will deliver low carbon electricity for homes, farms and businesses for many years to come," he said. Chief Executive of Bord na Móna Tom Donnellan said the project represents an important milestone for his company and is the first of a series of solar farms Bord na Móna is developing with the potential to deliver up to 500 megawatts of renewable electricity.
