
This Galaxy Z Flip 7 rival has a bigger battery than S25 Ultra
TL;DR Xiaomi has officially shown off the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2, while also confirming several details.

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 next month, but rival brand Xiaomi is getting a head start by launching the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 this week. Now, the manufacturer has given us a look at the flip phone and revealed the first details.
Xiaomi posted images and a video on Weibo today, giving us a first proper look at the Mix Flip 2. Check out the image gallery below.
Xiaomi also posted a brief teaser, seen below. The images and video show off a slim design, a checkerboard pattern on the gold model, and a cover display that seems in line with the original Mix Flip. We've also got a dual rear camera system, with Xiaomi mentioning that this has Leica branding.
The manufacturer also posted a few details about the new flip foldable. For starters, the Mix Flip 2 is packing a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 5,165mAh battery. That means it'll have a bigger battery than the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Xiaomi adds that the phone will come with 50W wireless charging.
Xiaomi's upcoming phone also has a 4.01-inch micro-curved cover screen (3,200 nits peak brightness) and an 'amazingly flat' 6.86-inch folding screen with an 'extremely shallow' crease. In fact, Xiaomi says that after 200,000 folds, the average crease depth should be less than 50 microns, or equivalent to half the thickness of a sheet of paper. In other words, the crease shouldn't become extremely noticeable over time.
The folding display also has ultra-thin glass (UTG) measuring 50 microns thick, which is in line with the Galaxy Z Flip 6's apparent UTG thickness. Otherwise, the phone is said to measure 7.57mm thick and weigh 199 grams.
There are still plenty of unknowns about the Mix Flip 2, but Xiaomi will answer most of these questions on Thursday when it launches the phone. This is expected to be a China-only launch, and there's no word on a wider release just yet.

The Titan 2 is a modernized BlackBerry with 5G, Android, and a second screen
Despite the demise of the BlackBerry, there's still a demand for smartphones with physical keyboards, if successful products like the Clicks keyboard case are any indication. Unihertz, a Chinese company best known for its small Android handsets, has announced the Titan 2: a follow-up to its first BlackBerry Passport-inspired smartphone that adds modern upgrades like 5G, a faster processor, and Android 15. The company is making the Titan 2 available through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign that has already surpassed its $100,000 funding goal. Full retail pricing for the phone is expected to be around $399, with shipping starting as early as October 2025, but the early backers can preorder one for $269. The Titan 2 is powered by a Dimensity 7300 8-core 2.0-2.6GHz processor paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Not only is it more powerful than Unihertz's original Titan, which launched in 2019, but the Titan 2 is also sleeker. It's slimmed down from the previous 16.65mm to 10.85mm, and it's 235 grams, which is about 68 grams lighter than its predecessor. Its slightly smaller 5,050mAh battery supports 33W fast charging but not wireless charging. The 4.5-inch screen on the Titan 2 is slightly smaller than the original's, but the resolution has been increased from 1,430 x 1,438 pixels to 1,440 x 1,440 pixels. That's relatively low by today's screen standards, but the Titan 2 is designed to be a productivity tool first and foremost. Unihertz has also included a second 2-inch screen on the device's back, with a resolution of 410 x 502 pixels, making it useful for monitoring notifications, using widgets, or framing selfies. The screen is integrated into the Titan 2's rear camera bump, which includes an 8MP telephoto camera and a 50MP main camera; up front, you'll find a 32MP selfie camera. The company says the Titan 2's QWERTY keyboard has been redesigned so that it delivers a 'more comfortable, reliable, and versatile tactile typing experience.' Custom long-press and short-press shortcuts can be configured for all of the keyboard's letter keys, and you can slide your finger across the keys' surface to scroll. Other upgrades include Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an infrared port, dual-band GPS, and an FM radio, while features like a fingerprint sensor and a pair of programmable shortcut buttons on the side have been carried forward from the original Titan.

Kioxia recently announced its single port CD9P Series PCIe 5.0 NVMe 2.0 SSDs built with the company's 8thgeneration BiCS Flash TLC-based 3D flash memories (with 330 layers--?). Kioxia CD9P SSD Product Family According to Kioxia, the CD9P Series is purpose-built for these next-generation environments, delivering the speed and responsiveness required by AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads to ensure GPUs stay fed with data and operating at maximum efficiency. The product is available in EDSFF E3.S form factor with 1.6-30.72 TB capacities and 2.5-inch U.2 form factor with 1.6-61.44TB capacities. The CD9P Series 15.36 TB model delivers approximately 60% and 45% improvements in sequential read and write speeds per watt, respectively, compared to the previous generation Kioxia SSD. It also achieves gains of approximately 55% and 100% in random read and write performance per watt, measured in thousands of IOPS (KIOPS), respectively. The product is being sampled to select customers and was on display at the on-going HPE Discover Las Vegas event. UBER vs. PONY: Which Stock is Leading in Autonomous Ride-Hailing?
The robotaxi market has huge potential. The global robotaxi market is projected to reach $45.7 billion by 2030, at a CAGR of 91.8% from 2023 to 2030. This highly lucrative space attracts both Pony AI PONY, an autonomous-driving company based in Guangzhou, China, and ride-hailing company Uber Technologies UBER. Let's delve into the autonomous vehicle (AV)-related details of the two companies. Uber aims to gain a stronghold in the robotaxi market through strategic partnerships. By adopting this approach, Uber has avoided the massive R&D costs associated with developing autonomous systems independently. In 2020, Uber sold its self-driving division but continued to focus on becoming the ultimate ride-hailing super app. In line with its partnership-driven strategy, Uber announced a deal with China's WeRide WRD earlier this year to introduce self-driving cars in Dubai. The companies announced a partnership with Dubai's Road and Transport Authority. This collaboration aims to integrate WeRide's self-driving technology into Uber's platform. The partnership, which will explore data insights, safety protocols and regulatory frameworks to support a smooth transition to autonomous mobility, is in line with Dubai's goal of making one-fourth of all city trips autonomous by 2030. Dubai represents the second city in the region where WeRide and Uber are teaming up to bring cutting-edge autonomous mobility solutions to the public. In December 2024, Uber and WeRide launched a robotaxi service in Abu Dhabi. The deal with NVIDIA NVDA is another prominent one inked by Uber this year in the autonomous ride-sharing landscape. By leveraging NVIDIA's cutting-edge AI platforms—Cosmos and DGX Cloud—and Uber's vast repository of ride data, the partnership aims to create scalable and efficient AV models. Uber's partnership with NVIDIA is aimed at accelerating the development of autonomous driving solutions. Uber's dominant market share in the ride-hailing industry also gives it a unique advantage in the AV space. With its vast network of drivers and customers, Uber can quickly scale autonomous services once the technology matures. Its app is designed to integrate AVs from multiple partners, giving users a variety of options. Pony AI aims to have in excess of 1,000 robotaxis in its fleet by 2025-end, from around 250 robotaxis late last year. Management stated on the first-quarter 2025 conference call that the large-scale deployment will ramp up gradually throughout the second half of the year. PONY is working closely with its partners, like Uber, to ensure a quick ramp-up. Pony is also looking to strengthen its approach to sourcing key components to allow it to rapidly adapt to changing demand and ensure the efficient execution of its mass production plans. Moreover, the company's long-lasting collaborations with the central and local governments should also help in the quick ramp-up. PONY's government collaborations not only enhance its credibility but also position it to secure licenses required for commercial deployment of its Gen 7 robotaxis. Pony's seventh-generation robotaxis have already hit the roads (for testing purposes) in the southern Chinese megacities of Guangzhou and Shenzhen. In May, PONY partnered with Uber to deploy its robotaxis on the Uber platform. The partnership is expected to be launched in a key market in the Middle East later this year, with scope for further expansion. During the pilot phase, the robotaxis will have a safety operator onboard. PONY's technology is a suitable choice for Uber's global platform as it is scalable and cost-effective. Recently, PONY entered into a partnership with Shenzhen Xihu Corporation Limited, Shenzhen's largest taxi operator. Through this association, PONY plans to deploy more than 1,000 Gen 7 robotaxis throughout the city. This move represents one of PONY's boldest fleet scale-up efforts to date and signals its growing operational focus on tier-one urban centers in China. On the first-quarter 2025 conference call, management confirmed that the majority of the company's supply chain is sourced locally. China's robotaxi market, of which Pony AI is an integral part, is growing rapidly. Driven by positives like unwavering support from the country's government, a large market for robotaxis, and a cost-effective supply chain, China is becoming a global leader in autonomous vehicle technology and robotaxi deployment. As of 2024, China's self-driving taxi market was valued at approximately $12 billion, with scope for further expansion. The U.S. self-driving taxi market was valued at only $8 billion.
