Search for missing influencer in Sungai Tui called off after no new leads
Authorities confirmed no new leads were found after four days of intensive efforts.
Muar district police chief ACP Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz stated that the Incident Command Post at the scene was closed as the search entered its fourth day.
The operation involved 77 personnel from multiple agencies, including the Marine Police, K9 Unit, and Fire and Rescue Department.
'The search covered land, water, and air within a several-kilometre radius. Despite thorough efforts, no new evidence was found,' Raiz Mukhliz said.
The decision to end the operation allows for expanded coordination if new information emerges.
Periodic searches will continue under the supervision of Lenga police station with support from Muar district police.
Tengku Nizaruddin, a 38-year-old businessman and vehicle accessories shop owner, went missing after his Perodua Axia was found partially submerged in the river. - Bernama

The suspect's refusal to stop despite being ordered led the Marine Enforcement Unit (Ungerin) and the Marine Intelligence Unit (URM) to seek assistance from the police teams at the Kunak and Tawau District Police Headquarters. 'The chase and arrest were successful after the van lost control and crashed into a tree near a residential area in Kg Titingan, which is located on the outskirts,' he added. Nazri said the suspect acted aggressively and again tried to flee, but was apprehended at the scene. An inspection found van loaded with black plastic packages containing smuggled cigarettes from various brands. An investigation was launched under the Customs Act 1967 concerning the act of protecting, storing, and concealing goods without customs duty or legal authorization. 'PPM Region 4 remains committed to combating smuggling activities and welcomes information from the public to ensure the safety and well-being of the country,' he said. Two men nabbed in Lahad Datu over RM2mil in smuggled cigarettes
LAHAD DATU: The Marine Police arrested two men in an operation at Batu 8, Jalan Silam here early on Thursday (Aug 7), on suspicion of smuggling in untaxed cigarettes from a neighbouring country worth over RM2mil. Sabah Region 4 Marine Police Commander ACP Mohd Nazri Ibrahim said the two men, aged 32 and 38, were detained along with two vans carrying the contraband cigarettes in the operation at around 1am. "Checks on the vehicles uncovered piles of black plastic bags containing a large quantity of various brands of cigarettes believed to have been smuggled in from a neighbouring country. More than 1.62 million sticks of cigarettes were seized," he said in a statement on Thursday. He said the case was being investigated under the Customs Act 1967. Mohd Nazri added that the Sabah Region 4 PPM welcomed cooperation from the public to provide information on criminal activities to curb smuggling and safeguard the country. - Bernama
