Argentine De Paul joins Inter Miami from Atletico
"Rodrigo de Paul bids farewell to Atletico Madrid and will continue his professional career at Inter Miami," the club said in a statement.
De Paul will join his compatriot and friend Lionel Messi, with whom he has won two Copa America titles, a Finalissima and the 2022 World Cup.
The 31-year-old made nearly 200 appearances in four seasons under fellow Argentine coach Diego Simeone but leaves the Spanish capital without silverware.
De Paul made his debut for Argentine club Racing Club in 2012 and has also played for Valencia and Serie A side Udinese.

"My goal was just to win my heat, to pretty much secure that I'll get a lane for tomorrow night's final, and do that with the least amount of energy possible," she added. There were some concerns over Gretchen Walsh's fitness when she withdrew from the 100 freestyle prelims on Thursday, after sickness swept through the U.S. team camp in the lead-up to the meet, but she squashed those fears by topping the 50 butterfly heats with a time of 25.22. Olympic champions Britain will be favourites for the men's 4x200 freestyle relay gold in the evening session after finishing quickest (7:03.98) in the heats. The evening programme will begin with Australian Mollie O'Callaghan's attempt to add the 100 freestyle title to her 200 crown.

Lyles, Richardson blaze through 100 heats at US Championships
Olympic and world champion Noah Lyles breezed through his 100 metres heat in 10.05 at the USA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon on Thursday before pulling out of the semi-finals to focus on the 200. Fenerbahce sign defender Skriniar from PSG and Semedo from Wolves
GDANSK :Slovakia defender Milan Skriniar has left French champions Paris St Germain to join Fenerbahce on a four-year contract, the clubs said on Thursday. Fenerbahce said that Skriniar, on loan with the Istanbul-based club since January, will receive an annual salary of 8.0 million euros ($9.13 million). The transfer fee was not disclosed. "Milan Skriniar... has completed a permanent move to Fenerbahce SK in Türkiye" PSG said in a statement. The 30-year-old joined PSG from Serie A club Inter Milan in 2023 and helped Fenerbahce to second place in the Turkish top flight last season. Portuguese international Nelson Semedo also signed with the club, managed by Jose Mourinho, on a two-year contract. The 31-year-old defender previously played for Barcelona and Benfica and joined the Turkish side on a free transfer after his contract with Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers expired.
