Teacher arrested for molesting student with disabilities
The incident is believed to have occurred around 10.40am on May 5 in the school's treatment room after the victim complained of leg pain shortly after a cross-country activity.
District police chief Superintendent Hasani Hussain said the 36-year-old teacher allegedly forced the victim to sit down before massaging her legs, calves and thighs, and touching sensitive areas, despite the victim's refusal.
"The victim then informed a classmate about the incident before lodging a complaint with a special education teacher on June 30.
"A police report was lodged at 5.15pm yesterday before the suspect was arrested at 10pm the same day in the compound of the Rembau district police headquarters," he said.
Hasani added that during questioning, the suspect denied committing the act, but an investigation paper has been opened under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
The victim is the second of five siblings and has been living in a children's protection home since last year after being a victim of sexual assault by a known individual.

Police investigations found six victims. Abdul Hadi was arrested at 9.45pm on the same day. Investigation also found that the accused threatened some victims to stay silent. Deputy public prosecutor Diyana Najihah Muhamed Fauzi prosecuted, while the accused was represented by Mohd Razak Shariff. The court sentenced Abdul Hadi to five years in jail for each charge under Section 14 and two years in jail and two strokes of the cane for charges under Section 16.

Naim Daniel's sexual assault case mention set for Sept 19
PUTRAJAYA: The Sessions Court has fixed Sept 19 for the mention of singer Naim Daniel's sexual assault case involving a 17-year-old girl. Judge Datin M.
