, which is being spread via popular social media platforms as tensions flare between the two countries.

Punjab Police claim that the malware is being circulated through platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, and email. It infiltrates smartphones through video or document files and, once opened, can access sensitive user data such as banking information, passwords, and personal details. The malware may also enable remote control of infected devices.
Authorities said the threat emerged during '
Operation Sindoor
', an ongoing response to the
terror attack
in Pahalgam.
A Pakistani operative, posing as an Indian defence official, reportedly used a WhatsApp number to call journalists and civilians in an attempt to extract information about the situation on the ground.
"People are advised strongly not to click on suspicious links or respond to messages from unknown sources," a senior Punjab Police official said.
"These could be attempts to compromise personal or national security." In a cyber alert posted to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Punjab Police warned the users: "Pakistan-based hackers are spreading malware named Dance of the Hillary. Do not click on unknown links - this malware can steal your data and control your device."
Security agencies continue to monitor the threat and have urged the public to remain vigilant.

However, this has not stopped the internet from roasting Mallya. For the last couple of days, dozens of people have shared screenshots of the pop-up message they got about the 'Indiaflash' account after clicking on the Instagram link shared by Vijay Mallya. 'Bro accidentally leaked his burner account,' wrote one X user. A burner account is an anonymous online account, often used by people who don't want to link certain activities to their primary account. Another user shared a screenshot of the message that read, 'Indiaflash1812 shared this Reel with you'. 'If you have a secret instagram account make sure to always send a clean link otherwise your fetishes or privacy/account can get exposed,' a user advised. 'Losing it. This is such a specific fetish. I'd understand feet, but feet while driving a car is sending me….' another joked. Internet sleuths did not stop at just opening the Instagram page filled with pictures of women driving barefoot - they went a step further and found several other ties to Vijay Mallya. In 2017, for example, Mexican F1 racing star Sergio "Checo" Pérez shared a photograph with Vijay Mallya on Instagram and tagged the 'Indiaflash' Instagram account. Pérez has 7.5 million Instagram followers. 'Lured with job offer': 23-year-old woman assaulted for resisting bar dance, porn role; Kolkata police launches probe
NEW DELHI: Police in Kolkata have launched a search operation for a mother and son who allegedly detained and assaulted a 23-year-old woman at their residence in Domjur, Howrah district, for refusing to act in a pornographic film. The accused pair, who ran an event management agency as a front, are currently absconding. Police are investigating whether they were operating a pornography film racket. Police sources revealed that the duo also operated a film production house where soft pornographic content was produced. They would target young women seeking employment by offering attractive salaries. "Initial probe has revealed that they used to lure young girls looking for employment under the pretext of a good salary and then force them to take part in films with pornographic content," stated a police officer. The accused woman was also allegedly operating a sex racket in the area, which is under investigation. The victim described the mother as the primary tormentor during her captivity. "I want the police to arrest the woman. She used to torture me the most. She used to beat me while this guy, her son, used to watch that from a distance," the victim stated. The woman had initially connected with the accused son through Facebook last year. He had promised her employment at his residence. According to the police complaint filed by the victim's parents at Khardah police station, when she visited their Domjur residence to discuss the job opportunity, both mother and son allegedly assaulted her after failing to convince her to become a bar dancer.
