'Kammatam', a crime thriller based on one of Thrissur's most controversial case, is being made into a series. The six-episode investigative series will premiere on Zee5 on August 29. The streaming giant announced the release date with a special poster. The film features Sudev Mair, Jins, Jeo Baby, Ajay Vaasudev, Akhil Kavalayoor, Arun Sol, Sreerekha and Jordy Ponjaa.The film's synopsis reads, "When planter Samuel Umman dies in a suspected road accident, Circle Inspector Antonio George senses something is off, especially when he notices a missing necklace at the scene. His investigation leads to Shaji, an auto driver with a criminal past, who is soon found dead in a quarry."advertisement"A mysterious two-wheeler at a construction site points to deeper involvement, and all clues slowly circle back to Francis, a quiet worker from Samuel's plantation. As Antonio digs deeper, what unravels is a chilling web of deceit, silence, and secrets buried far beneath the surface," the statement read.

The expression on their faces upon hearing my 'yes' showed the depth of their love for him. The whole world is praying for one person?! Yes. All the world I saw had been in prayer, wishing for Ichakka's health to be restored. Though the situation wasn't extremely grave, a lump remained in my heart. I prayed in every breath… along with crores and crores of people. Now that all the crises have been overcome, it is a relief like having swum across a sea.' Expressing sincere gratitude to all those who stood by them and prayed for Mammootty's speedy recovery, Ebrahimkutty concluded, 'Thank you, to those who carried unconditional love for Ichakka; to those who prayed; to those who ardently wished for his return… And to every human being and God.'
