It's as he conceded they were lucky to get a point in the Premiership curtain raiser at Fir Park. After the game he blasted his players and Sutton says he's never seen it happen so early in the season. He told Sky Sports: "He understands he has to win. "He's gone a bit early with this, but it's a bit desperate. "The first game of the season, he is easing himself in but to absolutely machine gun the dressing room the way that he did. "He sees them everyday in training, he must think they are rank rotten because why wouldn't there be a bit more balance there." Rangers opened the scoring through James Tavernier, but Motherwell got the point their play deserved when Emmanuel Longelo levelled late on. Former Rangers striker and SunSport columnist Kris Boyd was also a pundit for the Sky game and gave his post match thoughts. Boyd said it was "alarming" to hear Martin call out his players so early on. He added: "The opening day of the season, it's got to be a lot better than that. "There's a real lack of pace in that frontline. "And they never really created anything until Motherwell scored. "It's got to get a lot better from Rangers, there's no getting away with from it. "That's three seasons in a row they've failed to win on the opening day. "There are still players that are going to have to come in that are better than the ones already here because that - especially second half - was nowhere near good enough." Man Utd fans fear Rasmus Hojlund will gift Benjamin Sesko to Newcastle as £72m flop makes transfer decision

MANCHESTER UNITED fans fear they could miss out on signing Benjamin Sesko because of Rasmus Hojlund. The striker has emerged as a key target for Ruben Amorim. 3 3 Play Dream Team now! United are battling Newcastle for Sesko, who is valued at £70million by RB Leipzig. The German club would consider selling and are believed to be interested in Hojlund, with a potential swap deal on offer. But the striker has privately informed the club that he wants to stay and fight for his place, according to Ben Jacobs. And it is believed he is not keen on a switch to RB Leipzig, which puts Sesko's arrival at threat. As a result, some United fans are not happy with Hojlund and fear they could miss out on Sesko. One said: "So he's gonna be the reason we don't get Sesko, don't hate the guy but come on, he's not good enough and now just sabotaging us even more tbh." Another added: "If this prevents us potentially getting Sesko." A third wrote: "This guy thinks he has a chance of staying if Sesko chooses to come to Manchester United? 🤡" 3 Newcastle have reportedly met Sesko's asking price but the Red Devils are not out of the race. More negotiations are scheduled with both clubs and United are "ready to make their move". Sesko, 22, has a gentleman's agreement with RB Leipzig that he can leave if they receive a good enough offer. And with talks ongoing, Sesko was left out of their pre-season friendly against Atalanta today. RB Leipzig chief Marcel Schafer was asked about the player's future and he said: "We won't go into detail on that, but when I say that several clubs have shown strong interest and have made approaches, it's obvious what has happened."
