Moses Itauma: Ben Davison's planning helped me fall back in love with boxing

British heavyweight boxing sensational Moses Itauma has revealed meticulous research by trainer Ben Davison helped set him on the path to fall back in love with the sport. Itauma, 20, is widely regarded as the most exciting prospect in the blue-riband division and faces his toughest test to date on Saturday when he takes on compatriot Dillian Whyte (31-3, 21KOs) in Riyadh. It will be the 13th fight of Itauma's (12-0, 10KOs) fledgling career and only his fifth under Davison, but the Chatham southpaw recently detailed how he started to 'hate' boxing barely a year after he turned professional at the start of 2023. 'Being in the ring (sparring) with all these heavyweights Daniel Dubois, Joe Joyce, Tyson Fury, Lawrence Okolie, I know that there are levels to boxing and I just felt like I was unable to learn any more,' Itauma revealed. 'I don't want to disrespect any of the coaches I tried or did work with. I love and respect them, but with Ben, he taught me a different side to boxing. 'He taught me there is more to boxing than punch, punch, get punched, punch back, punch, punch, punch. There is actually a whole chess game to this.' Itauma split from old trainer Alan Smith in March, 2024 after a first-round knockout victory over Dan Garber in his eighth professional bout and eventually decided to join Davison's stacked Essex stable after trials elsewhere. Davison, who has worked with Fury and more recently Anthony Joshua, is now a key figure in the team of a boxer widely tipped as a soon-to-be world heavyweight champion, but the Slovakian-born fighter may have considered his future in the sport if he had not listened to older brother Karol Itauma (13-1, 8KOs). 'What I mean with falling out of love with boxing is, it was kind of like I felt like I reached a barrier and I was unable to break it,' Itauma added. 'That is why I went around searching for a new trainer to get something new. 'I tried out a lot of coaches and Ben Davison was actually the last one I tried. If I'll be honest, when I went to Ben, I was like he has too many stars in the gym, he won't really have time for me, he won't give me time I need but my brother was like there is no harm in trying Ben Davison. 'And I went there and as I walked through the doors, there is a glass window on the door where you can see inside the gym and Ben has got all my fights up. 'He is writing in his notepad and he was like, 'you do this, I don't know if you're aware of it, now we need to make you aware of this and do this, this and this,' and I was like, 'rah, none of the other coaches did that,'. 'And it was only when I started sparring, he would say, 'if I do this, he will do this and you can capitalise,' and I would go and do it, it would pay off and I'd be like what! 'Obviously we just clicked from there but the most impressive thing is how you have so many stars in the gym but each individual fighter gets the necessary time.'

Man Utd urged to pull the plug on £40m transfer despite giving green light

Manchester United are expected to focus on outgoings after completing a deal for Benjamin Sesko but they have been warned against letting Rasmus Hojlund leave them Manchester United have been warned that it would be a mistake to offload Rasmus Hojlund amid talk that the Dane is free to leave Old Trafford following the signing of Benjamin Sesko. ‌ The Red Devils struggled badly in front of goal last season and have spent big on bolstering their attack during the summer transfer window, clinching deals for Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Sesko, who completed his £73.7million switch from RB Leipzig over the weekend. ‌ Sesko, 22, is expected to spearhead United's attack after both Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee failed to score goals on a regular basis last term. ‌ Hojlund has subsequently been told that he is free to explore a move away from United in order to ensure he plays regularly in the new campaign with AC Milan keen. But Mikael Silvestre, who represented the Red Devils between 1999 and 2008, says that his former club should not be letting Hojlund go under any circumstances amid suggestions Milan would meet United's £40m valuation of the forward with a £6m loan fee plus an option to buy permanently next summer. " Marcus Rashford has gone and there are not a lot of strikers around, Joshua Zirkzee is a different type of striker that doesn't make those runs in behind the defence," the former central defender told Hajper, via The Metro. ‌ "He is another type of player for certain games, certain opposition. But no, you need competition, need quality, so I wouldn't rush into sending Rasmus Hojlund out on loan if Sesko signs. Absolutely not." Hojlund scored 10 times in all competitions last term for United with just four coming in the Premier League. Sesko, on the other hand, plundered 21 goals for Lepizig and has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League since the end of last season. ‌ Arsenal are long-term admirers of the Slovenia international but chose to pursue a deal for Viktor Gyokeres. That opened the door for United and Silvestre reckons Sesko is the right profile of striker for Ruben Amorim's preferred 3-4-3 system. "Benjamin Sesko is an upcoming talent and he's got certain qualities that could fit into Ruben Amorim's style of play," the Frenchman added. "He's got presence, height, he's good with his back against the defenders. He's got the athleticism to respond to the physicality of the Premier League. He's ticking a lot of boxes for sure." Victoria and David Beckham share pictures of luxury family holiday – while son Brooklyn plugs his new venture amid feud

VICTORIA and David Beckham are enjoying a sunny holiday on a luxury yacht with three of their children, as their oldest son remains estranged. The former Spice Girl and England captain are cruising the French seas on a luxury yacht with sons, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and daughter, Harper, 14. 6 6 6 Victoria, 51, shared a series of photos aboard their £16million superyacht and other snaps from their French Riviera getaway, including plenty of romantic snaps cuddling up with her famous hubby. "Kisses @DavidBeckham," Victoria captioned the post and added a series of emojis including, a sun and love heart. Other photos in the series included Cruz showing off his football skills in front of his dad who used to play for Manchester United and Real Madrid. Cruz also showed off his toned figure and posed aboard the yacht wearing nothing but a pair of white Armani swimming trunks. David also posted plenty of pics from their summer trip, and praised one of the family's favourite restaurants, Chez Bruno. "Perfection at Chez Bruno , family run Truffle restaurant WOW," David captioned his own Instagram post which included pics of him getting a private kitchen tour and posing lovingly with his wife. The family holiday comes amid their rift with eldest son Brooklyn, 26, who was on his own Instagram account spruiking his latest venture. The photographer and chef showed off the newly arrived kit which is collaboration between his Cloud 23 hot sauce brand and Jefferson's Bourbon. Brooklyn showed the camera the Jefferson's Rye Manhattan to Brooklyn kit which includes ingredients to create a unique cocktail, including a bottle of bourbon and vermouth, a black cherry syrup pouch, a bottle of Cloud 23 hot sauce, coupe glasses and a bottle of aromatic bitters. "Dubbed the Brooklyn23, the cocktail combines the robust but smooth whiskey with a kick of fiery undertones from the hot sauce," according to the Jefferson's website. David Beckham sings with son Cruz as they reveal glimpse of lavish holiday With a feud dividing the family, Brooklyn has distanced himself from the Beckham clan in favour of his wife Nicola Peltz, and her family. He even missed out on multiple celebrations to mark David's 50th birthday – snubbing a lavish bash, a father-son fishing trip and a calm retreat in Bordeaux. The Beckham Family Feud April 2022: Brooklyn marries Nicola Peltz. Wedding Dress Controversy: Rumours begin circulating that there's tension between Nicola and Victoria Beckham after Nicola chooses not to wear a Victoria Beckham -designed wedding gown. Nicola later clarifies in August 2022 (and again in March 2023) that Victoria's atelier couldn't make the dress in time, but reports in May 2025 suggest Victoria actually changed her mind about making the dress. Post-Wedding (2022 onwards): Minimal interaction between Nicola and Victoria on social media, and noticeable absence of Nicola at key Beckham family events. Alleged Wedding "Hijack": In May 2025, a source claimed Victoria "ruined" part of the wedding by allegedly hijacking a dance with Marc Anthony, which was meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. Nicola reportedly ran from the room crying. March 2025: A resurfaced TikTok of Romeo and Cruz mimicking a "baby voice" (which fans associate with Nicola) sparks speculation of sibling shade. April 2025: Brooklyn and Nicola are reportedly absent from Victoria Beckham's 51st birthday celebrations in Miami and her Paris Fashion Week show. May 2025: David Beckham's 50th Birthday Snub: Brooklyn and Nicola are notably absent from David Beckham's 50th birthday celebrations in London, despite being invited. Reports suggest their absence was due to Brooklyn not wanting to be in the same room as Kim Turnbull, the girlfriend of Romeo who had previously been reported to have been dating Brooklyn, who David allegedly opted to have at the party over Nicola. Rumours emerge of a falling out between Brooklyn and his younger brother Romeo, reportedly due to Romeo's new girlfriend, DJ Kim Turnbull, who allegedly had a past connection with Brooklyn. Reports surface that the Beckham parents are "hurt and disappointed" that Brooklyn is "playing no part in family life." Sources claim that tensions between Brooklyn and Nicola and his parents are "definitely not beyond repair." June 2025: Brooklyn and Nicola reportedly enlist a "crisis team" similar to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for "reputation management" due to the growing media scrutiny. Cruz Beckham posts cryptic lyrics on Instagram that some interpret as a swipe at Brooklyn. July 2025: Reports indicate David and Victoria are "desperate" to reconcile with Brooklyn. Brooklyn publicly wishes his sister Harper a happy 14th birthday on Instagram, tagging Nicola, which is seen as a potential "olive branch" and a rare public message to his family amid the rumored rift. Brooklyn UNFOLLOWS his brothers Romeo and Cruz just 24 hours after his birthday message to Harper. Nicola quickly follows suit and also ditches the Beckham bros from her Instagram following. Romeo and Cruz are now also no longer following Brooklyn. They've even started a 'boat war' by showing off their time on Nicola's family's £85million superyacht in Saint-Tropez that comparitively dwarfs the Beckhams' . Brooklyn and Nicola also renewed their wedding vows after three years of marriage – with the Beckhams not in attendance. At the end of May, Brooklyn shared a video of him and Nicola riding on his motorbike, captioning it: 'My whole world. I will love you forever. I always choose you baby.' They'll also be missing from Victoria's upcoming Netflix documentary. 6
