'Spooky' Mystery Animal Sighting Baffles News Anchors: 'Could Be a Chupacabra'
A viewer-submitted video left news anchors in Colorado confused and a little frightened.
During an April 7 newscast, three KKTV 11 News anchors looked at a video of a mystery animal sighting sent in by a resident of Pueblo, Colo.
"We have something spooky," weekend anchor Grace Kraemer tells the two others during the newscast before playing a video of the "terrifying" creature.
The clip shows an animal with patchy black fur, a red face, and long, thin arms, seemingly eating something off the ground.
"What is that?" the other anchors exclaim before Kraemer shares more "fun little details" about the animal encounter.
According to Kraemer, the woman who sent in the clip has no idea what the "little creature" is and has seen it once before during the day.

Kraemer then opens the floor to guesses about the animal's identity. One anchor believes the critter could be a badger, while the other jokes it 'could be a Chupacabra.'
After the anchors make a few more guesses, Kraemer admits the woman who sent in the clip also posted the footage on Facebook, where Kraemer checked the comments and found "some good guesses."
Wolverine, opossum, and raccoon are among the guesses that impressed the anchor.

The anchors end the segment still baffled by what the mystery animal could be and eager for more footage of the creature.
According to UPI, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) officials also reviewed the footage and believe the animal could be a raccoon with mange. Mange is a skin condition caused by parasitic mites that can lead to hair loss.
"It's tough to be 100% sure, but the use of the front paws and the size makes us think it's a raccoon," the CPW told KOAA-TV.

"I put on Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Homecoming and was like, 'If you want to watch the real-life ones, then we can watch that.' It might be a little too old for him, but I can't take the cartoons." But don't worry. There's at least one children's show that makes the cut with Mama Olivia, and that's the PBS children's show Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood for one specific reason. She believes it's a "great program" because it was vital in helping Malcolm understand what it's like to become a big brother to Méi, who was welcomed via surrogate last September. "Daniel Tiger has a little sister, and we'd tell him, 'There's a baby sister coming,'" Olivia said. Even though the typical children's programming might not be on the television when Olivia's around, she's found a system that works for their family. Talking with People, she said when she first introduced Méi to her big brother, she and John made a point not to "change his world and indentity and responsiblities." "A lot of times people will be like, 'Oh, you're a big brother now. You're not the baby anymore. Now you can help mommy get the diapers.' So, all of a sudden, he has all these responsibilities, and he doesn't just get to be carefree anymore," Olivia added. "Instead, we would say, 'Now we have two babies. There's baby Méi Méi and baby Malcolm.'" In the interview, Olivia shared that she and John focus on providing their children equal attention, so, in my opinion, it makes sense that she might not want to throw that balance off with too much Ms. Rachel and animated Spider-Man. Olivia said about her 3-year-old son, "He would say, 'Mommy, come over here. Daddy, come over here,' and if we were holding the baby, we would put her down so that he wouldn't feel that all of a sudden now we can't be there for him." "It's not that we were trying to teach him that everything he says goes, but we wanted him to have the transition with her to know that we're still here whenever he needs us. Then, eventually when he'd say, 'Put Méi Méi down,' we'd say, 'No, she wants to see her mommy too.' He smiles, and he understands," Olivia said. It sounds like Olivia has a system down, and Ms. Rachel (as popular as she may be) might not be for every family. And to be honest, I support Olivia keeping cartoons outside of the house for now, especially when her husband is literally part of a cartoon series that has scenes like this: And this: Perhaps they should wait until Malcolm and Méi are full-grown adults before they start showing them cartoons, in case they become interested in their dad's show. Jared Leto denies allegations of sexual misconduct with teenage girls Jared Leto is denying allegations of inappropriate behavior with young women. In a report published by Air Mail on Saturday, June 7, multiple women alleged that the "Suicide Squad" actor, 53, behaved inappropriately with them when they were teenagers. A representative for Leto told Air Mail that "all of the allegations are expressly denied." The representative also denied an earlier allegation from Allie Teilz, a DJ who posted last month in a since-expired Instagram Story that she was "assaulted and traumatized" by Leto when she was 17, according to Air Mail. In a 2012 Facebook status update that she reposted on Instagram, Teilz wrote, "Youre (sic) not really in L.A. until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage ... In a kilt .. And a snow hat." The representative said that "Ms. Teilz's allegations are demonstrably false." USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Leto for further comment. One woman, model Laura La Rue, told Air Mail that in 2008, the actor approached her at a benefit in California and asked her how old she was. When she said she was 16, La Rue alleged Leto, then 36, still asked for her number. She said she was living in Ojai, California, at the time but that they began emailing and that she eventually went to visit him in Los Angeles in 2009. "I remember him teasing me the whole time I was there," she said. "He was flirting with me. He'd lean in close, then pull away, like it was a game." La Rue said she continued visiting Leto sporadically and claimed that on one occasion, when she was 17, he walked out of a room completely nude.
