She was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, along with three others. Tragically, Shefali was declared dead on arrival.
Days after her shocking demise, a prayer meet was held in her memory on July 2. A viral video showed Shefali's father, Satish Jariwala, weeping inconsolably, supported by a visibly emotional Parag. Possible link to anti-ageing injection and IV drip under scrutiny
Initial reports suggest Shefali may have taken an anti-ageing injection on an empty stomach, potentially triggering the cardiac arrest. Though her autopsy ruled out foul play, the exact cause of death remains undetermined. Tissue samples have been sent for histopathology, and her viscera has been preserved for chemical analysis at Kalina Forensic Science Laboratory.

Close friend Pooja Ghai reveals Shefali had taken a vitamin C IV drip that day
Actor and close friend Pooja Ghai revealed that Shefali had taken a vitamin C IV drip on the day of her passing.
'On that day, she did take the drip, the vitamin C. But like I said, it's a very normal thing to take a vitamin C. I mean, we all take vitamin C, right? I think post-COVID, people have just started taking vitamin C as regularly as possible,' Pooja said in an interview with Vickey Lalwani, adding that she herself has used similar drips.
Ghai further shared Parag Tyagi's account of the moments leading up to Shefali's death. 'Parag said that the pulse was still on, her eyes were not opening, and she just had dead weight to her body.
So he realised that something was definitely wrong and he took her to the hospital, but apparently when she was brought to the hospital, she was already dead.'

Police question IV drip provider at the scene
According to Ghai, police officers at the residence immediately questioned the person who administered the IV drip. 'While I was standing there, the police guys called for the guy who gave her the IV drip to just check what was the medicine that she was taking, and that's when it was unfolded that she had taken an IV drip,' she revealed.
A team of five forensic experts at Cooper Hospital conducted the postmortem but did not specify an exact cause of death. The medical team is currently awaiting histopathology and chemical analysis results to provide a definitive answer.
