Social Media Sensation, 24, Stuns in Simple 2025 AMAs Look That Left Fans Speechless
Just days after she was announced as the second celebrity cast member on Dancing With the Stars season 34 — following "Australian wildlife photographer, actor, zookeeper, television presenter, and conservationist" Robert Irwin — social media sensation Alix Earle took a break from all of the excitement to stop and slay at the 51st Annual American Music Awards.
The 2025 American Music Awards took place today (May 26) at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hosted by Jennifer Lopez for the second time — as she also hosted the 2015 ceremony — so many of our favorite celebrities were in attendance. Representing the social media world were individuals like Tara Yummy, Ben Almeida, James Charles and more, but arguably the best dressed was Earle, keeping things as classy as can be.
On the 2025 AMAs red carpet — or should we say purple carpet? — Earle wore a slim black gown that flattered her figure from top to bottom, spicing up a seemingly simple dress with a deep scoop neck, as well as a strappy back. Keeping her attire as the star of the show, she paired the dress with a dazzling diamond necklace, and matching earrings, as well as black heels with diamond detailing to match. Completing the look, Earle opted for white almond-shaped nails, natural (yet glam) makeup and loose curls in her beautiful blonde hair.
Needless to say, she stole the show, with individuals taking to X to share their thoughts on the look. "Iconic," one fan wrote — complete with several spicy emojis — while another fan added, "Alix looks beautiful." A third gushed, "Alix Earle looks beautiful! I'm happy she's at the AMAs!"
Rocking her same red carpet look, later on in the evening, Earle joined YouTuber and Twitch streamer Kai Cenat onstage to announce the award for Favorite Female R&B Artist. The award went to "Snooze" singer SZA, beating out Kehlani, Muni Long, Summer Walker and Tyla.
If you missed the 2025 AMAs, have no fear! Paramount Plus subscribers in the United States can stream the coveted award show tomorrow (May 27) via the platform.

Tennis fans left saddened over disappointing development around Cruz Hewitt
Tennis fans were left in awe of Cruz Hewitt's display at the French Open on Sunday, but saddened that he couldn't progress past the first round of the junior boys event. The 16-year-old showed the same trademark fight that was common in father Lleyton's matches, taking his older and higher-ranked opponent to the brink. Cruz went through qualifying to make the junior event at Roland Garros, and proved a handful on Sunday for Pierluigi Basile. The Italian player is two years older and higher-placed in the world junior standings at No.24, compared to Hewitt at 41. The 16-year-old Aussie managed to win the second set against his 18-year-old opponent, before succumbing 7-6 (7-4) 5-7 6-3. Hewitt lost a very tight opening set in a tie-breaker, and looked headed for a straight-sets exit when Basile served for the match at 5-3 in the second. Basile also had a match point at 5-4, but Hewitt managed to reel off four consecutive games to send the match to a decider. The Aussie youngster was revving up the crowd and willing them to keep him in the contest, showing the same grit and determination that his father showed. But in the end Hewitt ran out of steam and it was Basile advancing to the second round. The Aussie lost in two hours and 10 minutes, unable to reach the second round as he had done at the junior event in January at the Australian Open. Hewitt had also lost in the first round in the senior qualifying event in Melbourne after being granted a wildcard. The 16-year-old is trying to emulate his famous father and make a career of his own, but has so far failed to make it past the second round of a junior grand slam event. Fans were left impressed by his performance on Sunday, but disappointed he couldn't go any further. He wasn't the only son of a famous player to feature on Sunday, with fifth seed Jagger Leach beating Kazakh player Zangar Nurlanuly 6-1 1-6 6-0. Leach is the son of American former triple grand slam winner Lindsay Davenport. Hewitt's fellow Aussie 16-year-old Emerson Jones - the world's No.2 female junior - will kick off her campaign as top seed in the girls' event against US qualifier Capucine Jauffret on Monday (local time), The other Australian in the boys' tournament (Ty Host) will face US sixth seed Benjamin Willwerth. The only Australian remaining in the senior singles tournament is Daria Kasatkina, after Alexei Popyrin proved no match for Tommy Paul on Sunday night. Popyrin's encouraging week in Paris ended in anti-climatic fashion after a crushing 6-3 6-3 6-3 loss to 12th seed Paul in the fourth round. "I'm definitely happy with my week's work, just disappointed with the way it ended," the 25-year-old said. "Look, if I lost this match and I played good tennis then, then I would have been sufficed and happy, but I lost and didn't play my best, really didn't do what I wanted to do, what I've been what I've been banging on about all week, consistency. "There was no consistency today, it was a very, very up-and-down match. And it was just not the way I planned for it." Kasatkina is playing her first tournament under the Australian flag after switching allegiances from Russia. with AAP

French Open 2025: Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe become first American men to reach quarterfinals since 2003
Tommy Paul became the first American men's tennis player to advance to the French Open quarterfinals in 22 years with a straight-set victory over Alexei Popyrin, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3. The No. 12 seed needed five sets to defeat Márton Fucsovics in the second round and Karen Khachanov in the third. Meanwhile, Popyrin, No. 25 in the draw, hadn't lost a set in his first three matches of this tournament. So a relatively easy fourth-round win for Paul was a surprise. Advertisement Popyrin took an early advantage, breaking Paul's serve to win the first game. However, Paul quickly shook off that slow start to recover and take control of the match with a 5-3 lead. Popyrin looked as if he might rally after taking an 0-40 lead in the next game. But Paul bounced back to win the next three points, getting to nearly every return and landing difficult shots to win that first set. The Australian also helped Paul get through the three sets rather quickly by beating himself, committing 37 unforced errors during the match. At several points, Popyrin turned to his coaches box to look for answers. Or to vent frustration at his mistakes. Following the match, Paul expressed relief over not having to play a third consecutive five-set match, beating Popyrin in less than two hours. (His previous three matches lasted a total of nearly 11 hours.) "I am very happy to get a straight sets win," he said, via USA Today. "I have been playing some very long matches so that felt really good. Shorter matches like this help a lot." Advertisement The last American men's player to get past the fourth round at Roland-Garros was Andre Agassi in 2003, who entered the round of 16 by defeating Flávio Saretta. In the quarterfinals, Agassi lost to Guillermo Coria in four sets. Paul will face Carlos Alcaraz, who defeated fellow American Ben Shelton in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. Yet if Frances Tiafoe wins his match versus Daniel Altmaier, the U.S. could have multiple players in the quarters for the first time since Jim Courier and Pete Sampras did so in 1996. Frances Tiafoe gets to quarters without losing a set Frances Tiafoe has not lost a set during his four matches en route to the 2025 French Open quarterfinals. (AP Photo/Lindsey Wasson) (ASSOCIATED PRESS) Frances Tiafoe will join Paul in the quarterfinals, defeating Daniel Altmaier in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6. That puts two American players in the French Open's round of 16 for the first time since Jim Courier and Pete Sampras did so (and played each other) in 1996. Advertisement Tiafoe has not lost a set in his four matches at Roland-Garros thus far. On his way to the quarters, he defeated Roman Safiullin, Pablo Carreño Busta and fellow American Sebastian Korda before meeting Altmaier in the fourth round. Though it was a straight-set victory for the No. 15 seed, Altmaier didn't go down easily. He took a 5-2 lead in the third set, but mistakes allowed Tiafoe to take it to a tiebreaker. One such error occurred when Altmaier returned a forehand right at Tiafoe, rather than angle it toward the open part of the court. In his post-match interview, Tiafoe acknowledged that Altmaier had him running all over the court, which isn't the way he prefers to play. But he was also rightly pleased at how well he's played. Advertisement "Third set he started getting a lot of balls in high, felt like boys' under-12s out here," he said, via The Athletic. "Happy to get through, very tough, won every match in straights and only played one set that wasn't clean. Pretty impressive for me." Tiafoe will play the winner between No. 8 Lorenzo Musetti and No. 10 Holger Rune on Tuesday. If he wins that match, either Alcaraz or an All-American match with Paul is up next.
