Tax facilities offer ‘golden opportunity' to settle disputes without extra costs: Egypt's ETA chief
She noted that one of the most significant incentives is that taxpayers who have submitted a settlement request supported by regular accounts, and pay the full amount due within no more than three months from the request date, will be granted a full exemption from late payment fines and any additional taxes related to that dispute.
Abdel Aal stressed that these measures reflect the Ministry of Finance and the ETA's commitment to supporting the tax community and easing the burden on compliant taxpayers. Those meeting the criteria benefit from special concessions in dispute settlement, provided payment is made within the prescribed deadline.
'We urge all taxpayers who have submitted settlement requests and keep regular accounts to expedite payment of their dues before the end of the three-month period from the submission date. This will ensure their tax status is resolved smoothly and they receive the full exemption from late payment fines and additional taxes,' she said.

Integrated Transport Centre issues amendments to road toll executive regulations in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi - The Integrated Transport Centre, an affiliate of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, has announced amendments to the provisions of the Road Toll Executive Regulations in Abu Dhabi 'DARB'. This comes as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance traffic flow and reduce congestion on main roads during peak hours. The new amendments will come into effect starting Monday, 1 September 2025, introducing changes to the tariff schedule. The evening period will be revised to run from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, while the morning period will remain unchanged, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, Monday through Saturday. Tariffs will continue to be free of charge on Sundays and official public holidays. The new amendments also remove the current daily and monthly toll caps for private vehicles. This means there will no longer be a maximum limit on the toll charges collected per vehicle each day (AED16) or each month (AED200, AED150, and AED100) for the first, second, third vehicle, and any additional ones. The fee of AED 4 will continue to be charged every time a vehicle passes through a toll gate in the emirate. The existing exemption policy will continue for eligible groups, including People of Determination, low-income families, senior citizens, and retirees. Q Mobility, a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company (ADQ), will take over the management and operation of Abu Dhabi's DARB toll system, working in coordination with the relevant authorities to implement the updates. Qatar lowers October term price for al-Shaheen oil, sources say
SINGAPORE - QatarEnergy has lowered the term price for al-Shaheen crude oil loading in October, setting it at $2.52 a barrel above Dubai quotes, sources said on Friday. That marked a decline of 81 cents from the $3.33 a barrel for September-loading oil, a five-month high. The price cut followed a decline in spot premiums for Middle East crude so far this month, weighed down by rising supply as the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and their allies, known as OPEC+, maintained their output hike policy to regain market shares. Qatar sold al-Shaheen oil to CNOOC, OQ and Idemitsu Kosan at a premium of around $2.30-2.55 per barrel above Dubai prices, the sources said. Separately, Qatar awarded a Qatar Marine crude cargo at a premium of about $1.70 a barrel to PTT, and a Qatar Land cargo to OQ at a premium at $2.05 per barrel, according to the sources. The companies typically do not comment on commercial deals. All the cargoes are 500,000 barrels each.
