India's revered ODI captain Rohit Sharma has recently added a stunning new Lamborghini Urus SE to his impressive luxury car collection. Painted in a vibrant Arancio Argos orange, this SUV is not just a statement on wheels but a symbol of personal significance for the cricket superstar. Priced at around ₹4.57 crore (ex-showroom), the Urus SE boasts an eye-watering 800 horsepower and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, making it one of the most powerful and fastest SUVs available today with a blistering 0-100 km/h time of just 3.4 seconds.

While the car itself has attracted attention for its bold styling and performance specs, what truly caught the eye of fans and automobile enthusiasts was the exclusive number plate — '3015'.
The Story Behind '3015': A Personal Tribute
For those wondering about the special number plate '3015', the answer lies in Rohit Sharma's family. This unique number represents the birth dates of his beloved children — Samaira and Ahaan.
'30' symbolizes Samaira's birthday on December 30.
'15' signifies Ahaan's birthday on November 15.
What's more intriguing is the hidden connection to Rohit's own cricket identity: the sum of 30 and 15 is 45, which is also Rohit Sharma's iconic jersey number in international cricket. This subtle yet meaningful combination showcases how Rohit blends his personal life and cricketing journey into his luxury lifestyle.
From '264' to '3015': Number Plates with Memories
Rohit Sharma's affinity for personalized number plates isn't new. His earlier Lamborghini Urus, painted in a striking blue shade, bore the number plate '264'. This wasn't a random choice — it was a tribute to his highest individual ODI score of 264 runs, a world record knock against Sri Lanka in 2014 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Interestingly, Rohit gifted this particular blue Lamborghini to a Dream11 contest winner earlier this year, symbolizing a passing of the torch and a moment of connection with fans.
Rohit Sharma's Evolving Role in Indian Cricket
At 38, Rohit Sharma has gracefully transitioned away from Tests and T20 internationals, now focusing solely on One Day Internationals (ODIs) as India eyes the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup. His leadership and experience remain invaluable, especially for the Mumbai Indians in the ongoing IPL 2025 season.
However, reports suggest that the Indian cricket management is planning to gradually usher in younger talent post the Australia tour this October, hinting at Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli possibly stepping aside in the 50-over format soon. This phase marks a significant shift in Indian cricket's leadership, making Rohit's current journey and gestures like the '3015' number plate even more poignant.
The Lamborghini Urus SE: Power Meets Luxury
Rohit's choice of the Lamborghini Urus SE is a reflection of his taste for both performance and exclusivity. The Urus SE plug-in hybrid combines brutal power with modern hybrid technology, delivering:
800 horsepower 950 Nm of torque
0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds
Available in multiple variants in India, the Urus starts at ₹4.18 crore, with the SE model topping the charts at ₹4.57 crore. It stands out as one of the most desirable luxury SUVs among celebrities and automobile enthusiasts alike.
The Growing Fascination with Rohit Sharma's Luxury Car Collection
Rohit Sharma's car collection has always intrigued fans, blending high-end German brands like BMW and Mercedes with exotic supercars. With this latest Lamborghini Urus, now his second Lamborghini, he reinforces his passion for premium automobiles while also showcasing a unique personal touch.
The buzz created around the number plate '3015' adds an emotional layer, reminding fans that behind the glitz of celebrity life lies a family man proud of his roots.

Jayden Seales Breaks Dale Steyn's Record Of Best Bowling Figures In ODIs Against Pakistan

Last Updated: Seales bowled 7.2 overs for the West Indies on Tuesday at Brian Lara Stadium and picked up six wickets for 18 runs in the 202-run win. West Indies fast bowler Jayden Seales picked up six wickets for 18 runs in 7.2 overs on Tuesday (August 12) against Pakistan in Tarouba to help the Shai Hope-led side win the third and final ODI of the bilateral series by 202 runs. In the third ODI, Seales produced one of the best bowling figures in ODI history to help the West Indies bowl Pakistan out for just 92 runs. The figures of 6 for 18 in 7.2 overs at Brian Lara Stadium helped Seales break Dale Steyn's record of best bowling figures in ODIs against the Pakistani team. Steyn picked up 6 wickets for 39 runs in nine overs against the Men in Green on November 27, 2013, in Gqeberha. Seales is only the third bowler in history to dismiss at least six Pakistani batters in an ODI match. Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera was the first one to achieve the feat. During the Sri Lanka-Pakistan ODI match played in Pallekele on June 9, 2012, Perera bowled 10 overs and picked up six wickets for 44 runs. In the third ODI of the home series against the Pakistani team, 23-year-old Seales opened his wicket account by getting Saim Ayub caught behind by Shai Hope for a three-ball duck. In his next over he picked up Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Rizwan's wickets in back-to-back balls. While Shaifque was caught by Gudakesh Motie for an eight-ball duck, Seales clean bowled Rizwan for a golden duck. In his fifth over of the match, Seales trapped Babar Azam (9 runs) in front of the wickets and completed his five-wicket haul by taking Naseem Shah's catch off his own bowling. Seales' sixth and final wicket of the match came in the form of Hasan Ali. The Pakistani pacer was clean bowled by him for a three-ball duck. Seales' super show with the ball helped West Indies bowl Pakistan out for just 92 runs in 29.2 overs and win the third ODI by 202 runs. view comments First Published: August 13, 2025, 02:29 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. National Sports Governance Bill Clears Rajya Sabha: Here's What It Means For Athletes

News18 has learnt that the sports ministry is moving swiftly to frame rules for its implementation The Rajya Sabha on Tuesday passed the long-pending National Sports Governance Bill, 2025, despite loud protests and sloganeering from the opposition. The government, determined to push the reform through in the ongoing monsoon session, hailed it as a landmark step towards overhauling sports administration in the country. CNN-News18 has learnt that the sports ministry is moving swiftly to frame rules for its implementation. 'Eighty per cent of the work is already done, and the notification should be out in the next couple of months," a senior government source said. Once notified, the National Sports Board (NSB) will be constituted to recognise and regulate national and state-level sports federations. The bill also paves the way for a National Sports Election Panel to ensure fair, dispute-free elections across federations. This panel will be made up of members experienced in conducting federation polls, aiming to avoid legal entanglements that have plagued Indian sports bodies in the past. Athletes, especially women, will be central to decision-making, with mandatory Athletes' Committees in all federations. For the first time, a statutory minimum of four women on every Executive Committee. The bill proposes aligning Indian sports governance with the Olympic and Paralympic Charters, ensuring that the country is better positioned to host major international events, including a potential bid for the 2036 Olympics. India's sports landscape has long been plagued by controversies, from court battles over federation elections to mismanagement and a lack of athlete representation. Currently, more than 350 court cases regarding sports federations are pending, creating serious hurdles in governance and sports promotion. By embedding transparency, athlete representation, and gender equity into the law, the bill aims to not just reform administration but also strengthen India's image as a global sporting power. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
