Gwen John exhibition to open at National Museum Cardiff
Dr Kath Davies, director of collections and research at Amgueddfa Cymru, said: "As an independent woman living and working as an artist in the early 20th century, Gwen John was a trailblazer.
"Many of her drawings and studio works have never been exhibited before and this major new exhibition will be an opportunity to explore John's technical approach, processes, and the themes which influenced and inspired her."
The exhibition is the first major retrospective of Gwen John's work in more than 40 years and will later tour internationally.
It is organised by Amgueddfa Cymru in partnership with the National Galleries of Scotland, the Yale Center for British Art, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

Crocs Get Yet Another Makeover, Courtesy Of Mowalola
The Mowalola x Crocs collab makes a strong case for camo and graffiti shoes - something I never thought I'd say. Splashed with spray paint and scribbles across the chunky soles, the design turns the brand's most recognisable silhouette into something more a little bit bolder. It's proof that Crocs are no longer just reserved for the garden, they're cool enough to style them with baggy denim, skirts, or mini dresses. That rebellious streak is comes courtesy of the brand Mowalola. Founded by Nigerian-born, London-based designer Mowalola Ogunlesi, the brand has become synonymous with challenging convention. Recently the designer has been stacking the collaborations, teaming with the likes of Marc Jacobs, Ksubi and Miss Sixty. A Central Saint Martins alumna, her work finds its inspiration in rave culture, Nigerian heritage, and politics, often blurring the line between fashion and social commentary. With celebrity fans including Dua Lipa, Rihanna, and Kim Kardashian, she's carved out a space as one of fashion's most daring voices. Crocs, meanwhile, have their own unlikely history. First released in 2002 as a boating clog, they gained a reputation for comfort rather than style, beloved by healthcare workers and gardeners but dismissed by fashion people as the ultimate 'ugly shoe.' Yet over the last decade, the brand has staged one of fashion's greatest image flips. Collaborations with Christopher Kane, Balenciaga, Simone Rocha, and Jean Paul Gaultier have turned the clog into a sought-after item. All things considered, the Mowalola x Crocs collab is exactly what you'd expect when two brands known for defying expectations come together. Scroll to shop the three piece collaboration. 1. Strictly's Dianne Buswell shares costly error after time away from boyfriend Joe Sugg
Strictly's Dianne Buswell shares costly error after time away from boyfriend Joe Sugg Strictly pro Dianne Buswell was left 'absolutely fuming' after suffering the consequences of a mistake she made whilst her boyfriend Joe Sugg was away from home Dianne Buswell has been talking about what happened to her when Joe was away from home (Image: Getty) Professional dancer Dianne Buswell has admitted she made a costly error whilst her partner, YouTuber Joe Sugg, was away on holiday. Dianne, 36, and Joe, 33, found love after meeting on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018. Since then, they have been inseparable and, in recent years, have talked about starting a family together in the future. However, that isn't all that has been discussed, as Australian-born Dianne told her 2024 Strictly partner, comedian Chris McCausland, about the ordeal she went through when Joe went away on holiday. Speaking about how often she drives on the 'Winning Isn't Everything with Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell' podcast, Dianne admitted to co-host Chris that she had received some parking tickets. She explained: 'The thing is, Joe normally takes me to the station in the morning, but he's been away fishing, caught his biggest fish that he ever has, and so he wasn't home. So I've had to drive my car to the station and leave it there. 'But what happens is, I get distracted, right, when I get out my car, got so many things on my mind that I forget to pay for the parking. And then, when I get back, I have a notice on my car, and it's happened two days in a row and I'm absolutely fuming about it.' Article continues below 'It is entirely my own fault. You know when you just see that little sticker on your car and you think, 'Oh God, here we go, there's another one, just throw that money away Di'.' Dianne Buswell and Joe Sugg met on Strictly (Image: Getty) Elsewhere, Dianne, who won Strictly in 2024 with comedian Chris, has also spoken candidly about whether she and Joe will have children together. Speaking to Prima magazine, Dianne said that although a family is something they both want, it's all about timing. She said: 'We've always wanted kids, it's just finding the right time. I don't feel worried about taking time out from dancing, I just don't see the point in worrying. 'When everything aligns, it will happen. I have to have that vision. I like to practise manifestation, I'm quite spiritual.' Dianne Buswell and Joe Sugg have been dating for over five years Dianne added that because she is relaxed about planning her future with Joe, she can focus more on her career. She said: 'I plan my work a lot, but that's probably as far as I go with planning. I'm quite an unorganised person actually. Article continues below 'Joe and I don't really talk about that kind of thing. We're both so relaxed so we just play it by ear. We really enjoy each other's company so much and whatever happens, happens." Joe Sugg is appearing on Richard Osman's House of Games tonight (August 18) on BBC Two at 6pm.

Real Housewives Of London: Meet Panthea Parker
The long-awaited Real Housewives of London is finally here – and brand new housewife Panthea Parker is certainly spilling the tea... The outspoken socialise brought the fire in episode one, clashing with fellow housewife Juliet Mayhew. Coming in hot, Panthea didn't hold back when she spotted the Aussie-born star at Amanda Cronin's women's day party - leaving the event early after a shouting match ensued. If episode one is anything to go by, this is hardly the last we'll hear from Panthea. Opening up about her fiery entrance, she told Grazia, 'Panthea doesn't have a filter! I don't think before I speak.' Here's everything to know about RHOL's fieriest recruit, Panthea Parker. Panthea Parker is a British-Iranian socialite, who has joined the cast of Real Housewives of London . The 50-year-old star told Grazia that it took her 'about three weeks' before signing up to the show, explaining, 'I was like, "That was me 15 years ago, you've come 15 years too late!" The more I said no, the more I think [the producers] wanted me.' ©for Hayu Born to Iranian parents, Panthea moved to England at the age of four. She grew up in the ever-so-gorgeous area of Hampstead, London, an area loved by celebs. Opening up about her childhood, Panthea shared, 'I grew up in Hampstead. I went to private school and summer camps in Switzerland. My parents were very affluent people in Iran before they moved were during the revolution.' Now, she calls North London home. Panthea doesn't work, having revealed during an interview, 'I've been privileged enough never having to work, and then I got married to someone who was very wealthy, who bought me Chanel and flew me on Concorde back in the day.' Of course, not having a job doesn't mean Panthea doesn't do anything. It's hard work schmoozing around London's finest. The socialite has been part of the Mayfair social scene since the 1990s, and is known for her exclusive high-society connections. She was known for being a fixture at Annabel's back in the day, and has even rubbed shoulders with Jennifer Lopez. Panthea revealed in an Instagram post how she met in India, when the 'On The Floor' singing was performing at a wedding. Panthea wrote, 'When your BFF casually has perform at his wedding in India. Yes, I apparently looking like I could sing, so she came up to me - little did she know my voice is questionable at best.' When it comes to friends, we can't say how deep their post-wedding relationship ran... But not everyone can say they've shared a stage with So, who is the man who's been buying Panthea Chancel bags and flying her on Concorde? Top London lawyer Ed Parker, of course. According to Google, Ed is a prominent London lawyer who specialises in derivatives and structured products. A partner at Mayer Brown, he leads the firm's Banking & Finance practise in London. Panthea shares three young children with lawyer Ed. She recently hit headlines for taking her daughter Sienna, 10, to Brighton Pride – despite some warning that the event wasn't suitable for children. Hitting back at online trolls, Panthea said, 'The Pride we experienced wasn't wild nightlife – it was bright flags, beautiful families, smiles and balloons. It was safe, inclusive and deeply loving. People forget that Pride isn't just for adults – it's for everyone who believes in kindness.' Panthea is also mum to an adult son from a previous marriage. Despite having one of the most high-profile friendship groups, socialite Panthea surprisingly wasn't too close with her fellow housewives. Admitting she's partial to an online deep dive, Panthea says, 'I went through Instagrams. There were ties. There's so many people in the social circles that I knew people peripherally. You're not friends with them, but you know them. I've met them and parties and stuff, so it's not too distant.' Oh, but she does share a hairdresser with Juliet Angus.
