Person used rock in 5 Hybla Valley burglaries, Fairfax County police say
FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. () — Detectives said they were trying to find the person responsible for breaking into five businesses in Hybla Valley in less than two weeks.
The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said the first burglary took place at La Taza Panaderia, located at 7850 Richmond Hwy., on April 17. The person who contacted police said the burglar broke into the bakery with a rock, took money, and left.

Four similar burglaries in Hybla Valley followed. Detectives said the burglar used a rock to break the glass in the front door of these businesses:

Detectives released surveillance images showing the person they think is responsible for all five break-ins.
The Fairfax County Police Department asked anyone who may have information about the burglaries to call its Mount Vernon District Station at 703-360-8400 and ask to speak with a detective.

Man arrested after trying to abduct child waiting for school bus, Fairfax County police say
FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. () — A man was arrested and charged after he tried abducting a child waiting for the school bus on Tuesday morning, police in Fairfax County said. The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said the charges stem from an incident that happened just after 8:45 a.m. in the 3400 block of Hemlock Drive in Annandale. There, FCPD learned a child was waiting for the school bus near Wadsworth Court and Little River Turnpike when a man drove up in a black Subaru and tried to persuade the child to get in his car. Man killed in mid-day double shooting in Suitland identified; Police offer $25K reward
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. ( — Prince George's County police have released the name of a man who was killed in Tuesday afternoon. At around 12:35 p.m., officers were called to the 5600 block of Regency Park Court for a shooting. There, they found two men inside an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Prince George's County Police Department. Responders took one of the men, who was seriously injured, to the hospital for treatment. However, police said the other man, Myandre McBride, 32, of Suitland, died at the scene. As of Wednesday afternoon, detectives are working to identify a suspect and motive in the deadly shooting. Police also noted that the man who was injured remains hospitalized with critical injuries as of Wednesday.
