Report: South Carolina guard MiLaysia Fulwiley enters transfer portal
The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because no official announcement has been made.

Fulwiley has a 'do not contact' designation, which most likely means she already has a strong idea where she will transfer to.
The 5-foot-10 sophomore guard was the Southeastern Conference Sixth Player of the Year and helped the Gamecocks reach the national championship game, where they lost to UConn. She averaged 11.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists in her two seasons at the school.
She started only three of her 77 games at South Carolina, but was one of the most exciting players in college basketball with her viral plays on offense.
South Carolina already has added transfer guard Ta'Niya Latson, who led the country in scoring last season.

The portal opened on March 25 and closes April 22. A player can still withdraw from the portal and return to their team after the closing date.
The Greenville News first reported news of Fulwiley's intention to enter the portal.

NFL teams will again stencil messages in the end zone, including 'End Racism' and 'Choose Love'
The NFL is continuing its on-field social justice messaging for a sixth straight season. All 32 teams will feature an end zone message of their choice at each home game throughout the season, selecting from four options: 'End Racism,' 'Stop Hate,' 'Choose Love,' or 'Inspire Change.' Once again, 'It Takes All of Us' will be stenciled in the opposite end zone for all games. The only change from 2024 is that 'Inspire Change' replaces 'Vote.' These messages will complement the league's other cause campaigns such as Salute to Service and Crucial Catch, which will also appear in end zones during select weeks this season. 'We're working hand-in-hand with players, and alongside our clubs, to amplify player voices and underscore what is most important to them,' Anna Isaacson, the NFL's senior vice president of social responsibility, told The Associated Press. 'For decades, the NFL and its players have been a unifying force in American culture and society that brings people of all cultures and backgrounds together to enjoy America's most popular sport. 'This is an honor and responsibility that the league takes seriously, which is why we actively invest in off-field programs and on-field initiatives that promote unity.' The league will use 'End Racism' along with 'It Takes All of Us' in the back of end zones for all international games for the second straight season. The reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will feature 'Choose Love' for their season opener against the Dallas Cowboys that kicks off the NFL schedule on Sept. 4. They will rotate all four league-approved end zone messages throughout the season. 'Choose Love' was first introduced in 2022 and has been embraced by the Bills following a shooting that killed 10 people at a Buffalo supermarket. 'Choose Love continues to resonate across the league,' Isaacson said. 'It has become a unifying message of healing and hope, one that many players continue to wear voluntarily on helmet decals.' Players will again have the option to display one of the five messages on their helmets this season. Since 2017, the NFL has provided more than $460 million to dozens of grant partners and hundreds of grassroots organizations through its Inspire Change initiative, helping benefit communities in need. Inspire Change has supported more than 650 nonprofits and 2,100 players and alumni, matching grants focused on mentorship, workforce development, and food insecurity.

South Carolina women's basketball 2025-26 full schedule revealed, including opener

COLUMBIA — The South Carolina women's basketball schedule for the 2025-26 season will open against Grand Canyon University on Nov. 3 in Colonial Life Arena. According to game contracts obtained by The Greenville News via open records requests, the Gamecocks will play in Phoenix as part of a home-and-home series with GCU in 2027. The full schedule for coach Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks is now set, as The Greenville News also obtained four other non-conference game contracts - Clemson, Winthrop, Queens and Coppin State. GCU is coached by Winston Gandy, who was Dawn Staley's assistant coach at South Carolina from 2023-25. His new job was announced March 24 and he stayed with the program until after the national championship loss on April 6. Times and TV channels will be announced later. The SEC schedule was announced on Aug. 5, highlighted by a Saturday game against LSU and former guard MiLaysia Fulwiley who transferred to the Tigers in April. Staley gained the nation's leading scorer Ta'Niya Latson and 6-foot-6 center Madina Okot in the transfer portal. Last year, the Gamecocks opened the season with a neutral site game in Las Vegas against Michigan. Azzi Fudd Says She and Girlfriend Paige Bueckers Had ‘Chemistry' Together ‘Almost Kind of Immediately'
The couple, who were teammates together at UConn, explained how they first met during an appearance on Instagram's 'Close Friends Only' podcast NEED TO KNOW Azzi Fudd and Paige Bueckers appeared on Instagram's Close Friends Only podcast The couple — who are former UConn teammates — opened up about their relationship and how they met Bueckers now plays for the WNBA's Dallas Wings, while Fudd is a senior at UConn Azzi Fudd knew her chemistry with Paige Bueckers was special from the start. The two former University of Connecticut women's basketball teammates, who went public with their relationship earlier this year, appeared together on Instagram's Close Friends Only podcast this week and opened up about the first time they met while still in high school. 'When did you know that we were gonna click and, like, be this close?' Bueckers, 23, asked her girlfriend Fudd, 22, during the podcast's introduction. 'Almost kind of immediately,' Fudd replied. 'I feel like we really clicked when we met.' Bueckers, who graduated from UConn earlier this year and now plays for the WNBA's Dallas Wings franchise, laughed and said they both 'have different stories' about the day they met. Fudd, who is now a senior at UConn, said that the couple first met on the court while playing at a USA Basketball camp while they were both still in high school, before each later committed to UConn. 'On the court, we clicked,' Fudd said, as Bueckers locked eyes with her and smiled. Fudd continued, 'I don't remember talking to you at all off the court, but I remember the plane ride home to Minnesota talking to you and really liking you and then that's when I thought, like, our personality off the court, our personalities clicked.' As for Bueckers, she recalled, "We had this on-court chemistry, and you don't remember me off the court, which is like—," before jokingly making a confused face, prompting Fudd to laugh. Bueckers and Fudd's chemistry was front and center throughout their Close Friends Only episode. Elsewhere on the Instagram show, Fudd called Bueckers her 'favorite WNBA player' and explained what she admired most about the WNBA rookie off the court. 'You're super giving and I like how you always make sure to put others first,' Fudd said. 'I love how you take care of people around you and those who matter most to you. You're super loyal.' Later, Bueckers explained what her ideal day off with Fudd is like.
