Sarawak Premier's wife, Puan Sri Juma'ani, laid to rest in Petra Jaya
Earlier, the funeral prayer was performed at Masjid Jamek Negeri, led by Sarawak Grand Imam Datuk Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi, and attended by family members, federal and state leaders, as well as members of the public.
Following the prayer, Juma'ani's remains were taken to the cemetery for burial.
Abang Johari, their two children, Abang Abdillah Izzarim and Dayang Norjihan, as well as grandchildren and other family members, were present throughout the ceremony.
Among those who paid their last respects at the mosque were Sarawak Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, all three Deputy Premiers - Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian and Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas - and several state assemblymen.
Juma'ani, 76, breathed her last at a private medical centre at 3.34am today. She was the daughter of Sarawak's second Yang Dipertua Negeri, Tun Tuanku Bujang Tuanku Othman.
She is fondly remembered as a humble and dedicated figure who made significant contributions to charitable and community work in Sarawak. — Bernama

Results for 2025 SPM repeat exam out tomorrow, candidates can check online or via SMS
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 — The results of the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Repeat (SPMU) examination will be out tomorrow, according to the Ministry of Education (MOE). It said that a total of 10,049 candidates had registered to sit for the repeat examination at 186 examination centres nationwide. 'Candidates can check their 2025 SPMU examination results from August 21 to August 27 between 10am and 6pm,' it said in a statement today. Candidates can check their results online via the website or through the short messaging service (SMS) by typing SPMU followed by the identification card and index number and sending it to 15888. The 49-year-old, better known as FBI said the annual programme not only drew wide public participation but also offered individuals the chance to realign their routines and strengthen their relationship with the holy scripture. 'We really need to make an effort to bring the Quran to life, especially among the younger generation and society as a whole. 'Perhaps at this point in time we are too busy with work and other commitments that, without realising it, we drift further from the Quran, even though we know it is very important in our lives as Muslims. 'But praise be to Allah, with Malaysia #QuranHour and World Quran Hour, it provides us the chance to reset momentum and review our daily schedules to see whether we are truly allocating time for the Quran,' he told Sinar. Faizal, who hosts the FnN Pagi segment on Zayan FM, said the Malaysia #QuranHour is an impactful programme as it gathers large congregations and creates a collective spirit of remembrance. 'If we can hold concerts, why not allocate at least one day a year for a programme like this,' he said. He recalled being invited to the Malaysia #QuranHour at the International Islamic University Malaysia, where Surah al-Insan was recited and reflected upon at the mosque. 'The atmosphere was very uplifting. Some attended because they were invited by friends, others due to work assignments, but as the Prophet SAW said, even if we just pass by or listen, there is still reward. 'All the more so if we sincerely intend to join and reflect on the Quran,' he said. Faizal also reminded fellow celebrities and busy professionals that time management was a matter of priorities. 'Time is what we choose. In the past, I had many commitments to the point I felt there was never enough. 'So why not plan in advance by including Quran routines or programmes like this in our schedule. 'If we can lock in job dates early, why not lock the Malaysia #QuranHour date too, so it won't be disrupted by other events,' he said.
