May 14—Unfettered by modern technology, a man clad in flannel pants and a green vest got out a knife and began cutting grass by a park pavilion, putting the clippings in a shopping cart. Someone called the Kalispell Police Department, worried that their archaic method of cutting grass was due to drugs. Officers moved the man and his entourage along.
A resident asked for police assistance in removing a drunk woman who was crying and screaming on their front lawn and refusing to leave. The woman reportedly said she needed help but didn't say what she needed or why.
Someone dialed 911 to express concerns that a "gentleman" in an RV parked in the neighborhood was using his neighbor's water and electricity without permission while they were away. He said he would contact the neighbors to see if they were OK before calling the police again. He also said he meant to call the non-emergency phone number.
Two residents and animals left a house when a light fixture caught fire.
A distraught man called police, alleging someone was trying to kill him and his family.
A woman wearing a headband with a cat or bunny on it was reportedly upset that a property manager would not rent an apartment to her and started yelling, which could be heard in the background of the property manager's phone call to police regarding her disorderly behavior.
A woman sitting in a wheelchair on a sidewalk was allegedly twitching and "eating her foot," which troubled a passerby. The woman reportedly said she was just singing to herself. Officers drove by and reminded her she was not welcome at the location and was trespassing.
Officers received two more calls about the woman and concern for her welfare as she was in the roadway at one point. Officers checked on her and she said she was OK and didn't need any assistance.
A man reportedly suspected a dark gray Tahoe parked in the area for about a week was associated with recent thefts, in addition to a white Chevy Blazer that showed up one day and picked up people in the vehicle.
