John Singleton's daughter in messy court fight with separated husband
A Sydney court has put in place an interim domestic violence order for the protection of Sally Singleton-Hawach, the daughter of John Singleton and his beauty queen former wife Belinda Green.
Ms Singleton-Hawach and her husband Pierre Hawach fronted Parramatta Court on March 25 following an incident last month.
The DVO, ordered by magistrate Peter Feather, restricts the behaviour of Pierre Hawach who, under its terms, must not assault or threaten his wife or anyone she has a domestic relationship with.
He also must not stalk, harass or intimidate Ms Singleton-Hawach, must not intentionally or recklessly destroy or damage any property that belongs to or is in the possession of Ms Singleton-Hawach and must not harm an animal belonging to his wife.
The matter is listed to return to court, for mention, next week on April 29, 10 years to the day the Hawachs married.
The couple, who have three young children under eight, are currently living separately.
Ms Singleton-Hawach is listed as the sole owner of the family home on a large 2,021m2 block in West Pennant Hills, purchased in October 2016 for $3,282,500.
News.com.au is informed the house was a wedding gift from her father, the retired media and ad boss, and it was to the West Pennant Hills property, which features guest accommodation, that John 'Singo' Singleton retreated last year following the breakdown of his seventh marriage to Sarah Warry.
It is the second time Ms Singleton-Hawach, executive producer of LAMP Music, singer and self-described art therapist, has been the subject of a court-ordered DVO relating to her husband.
In November 2021, Mr Hawach, a divorce lawyer, was again restrained by the terms of a DVO.
That order was later withdrawn when the couple reunited after separating for about six months.
Ms Singleton-Hawach, 40, is multi-millionaire John Singleton's second daughter with one time model and 1972 Australian Miss World pageant winner Belinda Green. She has an older sister, Jessie.
The Hawachs were married in a lavish wedding in Rome in 2015.
The wedding was held at San Marcello Al Corso with wedding photographs taken afterwards outside St Peter's Basilica to the delight of Mr Hawach's Lebanese Catholic family.
At the reception, the bride's father gave his new son-in-law a ringing endorsement, calling Hawach 'the first decent bloke I've ever met with Sally, ever'.
'He's just a great bloke. He was a leaguie (rugby league fan), a gambler…and I thought how lucky is (Sally),' the father-of-the-bride said in his wedding day speech.
'Sally, I love you, but I prefer Pierre. So I really hope it works Sal 'cos don't ask me to choose,' he said.

Scott Cam unleashes on Block contestant: ‘Readjust your attitude'
Don't miss out on the headlines from Reality. Followed categories will be added to My News. There were tense scenes on Wednesday's episode of The Block when host Scott Cam confronted one contestant, advising her to 'readjust (her) attitude' to the show's cast and crew. An episode earlier, WA contestant Han had clashed with The Block foreman Dan, after she went ahead with an unapproved change to her floor plan that he wasn't happy about. It wasn't the first time Dan had accused her of charging ahead with works without his approval, but this time Han wasn't having it – she accused him of manufacturing problems 'for the camera' and angrily insisted the entire thing was a stitch-up. Never miss the latest entertainment news from Australia and around the world — download the app direct to your phone. Han in Tuesday's episode, accusing The Block of stitching her up. A day on, and in his weekly walkarounds with Shelley Craft, Scott Cam visited Han and her partner Can (Dan, Han, Can and Cam – yes, this is a deeply confusing season for Block drama), and let her know he wasn't going to accept those accusations. 'Now, I've got a few things I need to say. Han, I hear some people saying that you're accusing us of a stitch-up and doing things just for camera. I've told you many, many times: We never set you up to fail. We never stitch you up. We help you along the way, and we've always helped you along the way,' he told her. Scott Cam was firm: Fix your attitude. Addressing her unapproved changes – this time, moving the floorplan – Cam told her: 'You're making decisions that are affecting you – you're making those decisions, not us. You're not a builder, so don't make decisions that are going to affect your build. And don't accuse us of trying to stitch you up and doing stuff just for camera, because we don't do that.' He finished his dressing down with a firm request of Han. 'So, now I'm going to ask you really nicely to readjust your attitude on this show. To the crew, to Dan, to me and to everyone around you … OK?' Han's response to the dressing down: 'Heard.' Han's two-word reply? 'Yeah. Heard.' She had more to say to the cameras when Cam had gone, though, saying the whole episode had been 'unfair' on her: 'I actually don't think I need an attitude readjustment. It's not an attitude problem.' There was a happy ending for this particular Block clash, though: Later in the episode, Han grabbed Cam for a one-on-one chat, apologising and insisting she never intentionally set out to break any of the show's rules. Cam accepted the apology and the pair agreed to move forward. Originally published as Scott Cam unleashes on Block contestant: 'Readjust your attitude'

Live review: Kita Alexander leaves her mark on Perth with intimate set
Don't miss out on the headlines from Music Tours. Followed categories will be added to My News. Research emerged last year that found that streaming platforms with their algorithmic recommendations have created a monoculture dominated by US and UK artists, leaving very little room for homegrown talent to truly flourish. As so many artists are getting lost in the mix, now and again someone with such discernible talent comes along that they just can't be ignored; and that's Kita Alexander. She's been kicking around for a decade now, working hard to cement her position as an indie darling in Australia and capturing the attention of US pop star Madison Beer and UK pop diva Dua Lipa, who both asked her to support them on tour. 'Legislate it': Artists have come ... more Now 29, Alexander, who's married to Australian professional surfer Owen Wright, has experienced some chart success throughout her career, with her single Hotel going 2x Platinum after its release back in 2017. What struck me most about Alexander was the warmth that emanated from her the moment she stepped out onstage. As someone who beforehand knew only of Alexander's album track I Just Killed A Man – which is genuinely one of the most meticulously crafted break-up songs I've ever had the pleasure of hearing – I wasn't entirely convinced how easily she would be able to win me over with a relatively short set of 15 or so tracks. But any doubts immediately melted away from the moment she sung her first note. Sometimes you meet someone and are inexplicably drawn to them and their energy, and Alexander has that in spades. Kita Alexander. Picture Lachie Millard Her voice sounds like a blend of the pop rock sensibilities of Olivia Rodrigo paired with the warmth and smokiness of a 1920s jazz club singer, and some of the nuances in her delivery that she brought to songs depending on what genre they leaned into brought them to life so wonderfully. Communication was a clear standout for me, a gorgeous slice of glittering break-up pop that would feel at home on Taylor Swift's Midnight's record. Her cover of Djo's modern classic End of Beginning was so enrapturing that my partner turned to me and was convinced it was her own original song. The last handful of songs was banger after banger, kicking the set into a higher gear and with the small but loyal crowd in the palm of her hand singing back lyrics. Alexander would occasionally take a moment to have a giggle with the crowd and let her personality shine through, but there was one moment where she spoke earnestly of having children at a relatively young age that I really connected with, and it's those times when an artist really gives you an unedited glimpse into the lives that truly helps you form a better understanding and appreciation for their discography. It seems clear to me that with a team and a label behind her that believes in her talent, Alexander is one breakout hit away from becoming a powerhouse within the music industry Down Under, and I don't think it could happen to a more deserving woman. Now go and listen to I Just Killed A Man and give Alexander the streams she deserves! Originally published as Kita Alexander leaves her mark on Perth with intimate set
