Thompson, 74, was dressed in a sophisticated white midi-length gown at Tuesday's event, which was held at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, Calif., She smiled for the cameras while putting on a busty display in the plunging gown, which also featured a pleated skirt.
Thompson accessorized her look with silver bracelets, a large cross pendant necklace and another statement necklace layered on top. The former beauty pageant star also accessorized with a pair of sparkly nude pointed-toe heels.
Thompson dated Elvis for four years between 1972 and 1976, and she later opened up about their relationship in her 2016 memoir, A Little Thing Called Life. In the book, Thompson reflected on the downfall of her relationship with the King of Rock and Roll around late 1976, in the height of his prescription drug addiction.
"When I looked at all the pieces of myself that I had given up on Elvis's behalf, increasingly I saw that staying with him would demand a sacrifice that I was unwilling to make," Thompson wrote in her pages. "I'd always wanted to be a mother, but I could not bring a baby into my life with Elvis."
"As much as I loved him," she wrote, "I knew I wanted more—and motherhood was just the start."
Less than a year after his breakup from Thompson, Elvis died at the age of 42 in August 1977.
Following her relationship with the late "Kentucky Rain" singer, Thompson married in 1981, and the pair welcomed two sons together, Brandon, 43, and Brody, 41.
Thompson was also previously married to David Foster for over ten years before they divorced in 2005.

Until the title's meaning is ultimately revealed, the singer and songwriter has dropped additional hints about the album's direction in a new Spotify playlist titled "And baby that's show business for you." Taylor Swift Fans Suspect New Album Has Direct Connection to Another Highly Anticipated Project originally appeared on Parade. fans are already working up their wildest dreams when it comes to her newly announced The Life of a Showgirl. While her 12th studio album has certainly been on fans' minds, along with Taylor's Version of her debut, self-titled album and the vault tracks that would have been included on Taylor's version of reputation, had she not bought back her masters, thus negating the need to complete its rerecording, Swifties also believe evidence points to an impending documentary surrounding the record-breaking Eras Tour. Fans took note of the apparent connection between the new album's name and Swift's role on stage, which is reminiscent of the character she played while performing "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart," off of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department. As one fan considered that the album may serve as an autobiographical reflection on the Eras Tour, others predicted that it may connect directly to the rumored documentary, instead. "WAIT! And The Life of a Showgirl sounds like a great way to tie in an Eras Tour doc. THE VISION IS HERE," one replied excitedly, while another wondered, "WHAT IF THE ERAS TOUR DOC IS CALLED THE LIFE OF A SHOWGIRL?!?!" Others suggested it could potentially serve as a sister album to The Tortured Poets Department, much of which is believed to have been written during the Eras Tour, believing it "could be another story album" or even a "visual album," rather than a documentary. If one thing is for certain, it's that Swifties will keep dreaming big.
