Roku's next wave of TVs start at just $130 — here's where to buy them
Roku just launched its 2025 refreshed TVs in the US, with availability spanning several major retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and Amazon.
These TVs include new iterations of the Roku Pro, Roku Plus, and Roku Select Series TVs, each of which have ranked among the best budget TVs on the market.
Here's everything you can expect from the new lineup, which starts at just $130.
At the top of the list is Roku's newest Pro Series TV, which comes equipped with Mini-LED backlighting. Roku claims the new Pro Series offers a 75% boost in high dynamic contrast, owing to its new Smart Picture Max feature that dynamically adjusts picture performance depending on the scene.
Expect better highlights and less blooming
That means you can expect better highlights and less blooming, which was a major sticking point on the original Roku Pro Series that launched last year.
Like the Roku Ultra, one of the best streaming devices, the Roku Pro series comes equipped with the Roku Voice Remote Pro. It will also have a super slim profile and an accompanying wall mount kit that you can purchase separately.
The Roku Plus is getting some exciting changes as well. Namely, Mini-LED backlighting. A new built-in subwoofer also ensures you get incredible sound right out of the box — though, you will still probably want one of the best soundbars for better audio performance.
Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips.
Roku's also giving the Plus its Smart Picture Max functionality found on the new Pro Series TV. It's unclear how much of an improvement this might bring to the Plus Series overall, but it should help to mitigate blooming and improve shadows.
You'll also find a new button on the TV itself, which will help you find the remote if it gets lost in the couch or elsewhere. As someone who loses the remote constantly, this is a handy feature — but it should also be available on Roku's app.
While the Roku Plus is getting an improved processor and the Roku Pro has some exciting new features in store, the Roku Select Series is the catch-all series that spans HD, FHD, and 4K resolutions, depending on which screen size you buy.
The good news of Roku's scattershot approach to the Select Series is that there's now an 85-inch size to the Select range. That's a huge win for sports and gaming fans, plus the Select series will also now have support for Dolby Audio on all models and HDR10+ support on the 4K screens.
You can pick Roku's newest TVs starting right now, available at Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and Amazon. As mentioned, prices start at just $130, making these prime savings for those looking to get a new screen.
The Roku Select, its cheapest of the bunch, is available in sizes ranging from 24-inch to 85-inch. The Roku Pro and Roku Plus, on the other hand, will only be available in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch configurations.
That's a major disappointment in the face of big TVs becoming ever-popular, but the upgrades are suitably interesting for Roku OS fans.
We'll be sure to get these new Roku sets in for testing to find which among them fits among the best Roku TVs given the 2025 improvements.

Facility pilot projects should move quickly and focus on value, not cost: experts
This story was originally published on Facilities Dive. To receive daily news and insights, subscribe to our free daily Facilities Dive newsletter. SAVANNAH, Ga. — Facility managers and building operators must act with intention and speed when it comes to piloting and integrating new technologies, according to speakers at Realcomm IBcon. 'You have to have a very tight plan and rigor around innovation, which sometimes sounds counterintuitive,' Thano Lambrinos, senior vice president of digital buildings, experiences and innovation at QuadReal, said in a panel discussion. Acting with rigor comes down to putting structure around pilots, which should only last for about four to six weeks, depending on the technology, Lambrinos said. 'You have to know what your business challenge is and what you're actually trying to solve for, and not just running around with pieces of technology that are hammers and everything's a nail,' he said. Moving past the pilot phase often requires working with vendors to ensure that piloted technology is production-ready from the start, according to Neil Ross, head of corporate real estate product and technology management at Walmart, who previously held roles at Microsoft and Schneider Electric. 'When we made a decision about which vendors to go with and we wanted to pilot, we built it as a production-ready pilot,' said Ross, noting that many times even standing up a pilot can take months when you factor in security, privacy, procurement and other concerns. 'We would go into a pilot with the intent that we're going to grow this.' Identifying your business challenge requires taking lessons from salespeople in the industry, Lambrinos said. 'Because you're really selling within your organization … on why whatever business problem you're trying to solve is a real problem and is actually a good idea for you to tackle,' he said. 'It's about the outcomes,' said Timothy Cook, vice president of smart building technology innovation at Goldman Sachs. 'Don't get caught up. The tech is here. It's ready to be adopted [and] it's going to meet you where you are. Focus on those outcomes with all your stakeholders and push.' For example, when Walmart wanted to implement new building management technology at a corporate campus in Bentonville, Arkansas, Ross found that the number of sensors that were needed were much higher than expected, meaning his budget request was going to jump from about $3 million to $5 million. 'There were things that changed along the way, but [for] everything we did, we had a value equation,' Ross said. 'If we do this, this is the value that the organization receives, and this is going to lead to operational improvements.' For every technology the company planned to implement, it talked to stakeholders about value, Ross said. 'We talked about value before cost. If you want to derive the benefit from all of this, and this is the value that you receive, [then] this is the cost that's it going to take,' he said. In addition, it helps to prepare the organization for things to go wrong, Lambrinos said. 'We've had iterations of things that we've tried that have failed miserably … but we contained it. We thought something was going to be great, and it didn't work,' he said. 'Contain the blast radius. Make sure that when you're piloting or trying things out, that you don't do a big, full-scale rollout before you know how it works.' In the end, operating successful pilots comes down to testing the strategy you have, defining the criteria for success and being ready to fail and move on, Lambrinos said.
