Cape Breton police investigating shots fired at Victoria Mines residence

Police in Cape Breton are asking the public for help as they investigate shots fired at a residence in Victoria Mines, N.S., early Tuesday morning.
Cape Breton Regional Police responded to a residence on Kilkenny Lake Road around 5:15 a.m.
Police say officers discovered bullet holes but no injuries were reported.
'Police obtained information from the residents of the property, conducted a neighbourhood canvas, and Forensic Identification officers processed evidence from the scene,' reads a news release from Cape Breton Regional Police.
Police believe it is an isolated incident and the persons involved could be known to each other.
Cape Breton Regional Police is asking anyone with information about the incident, including video from the area, to call police at 902-563-5151 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

(Arlyn Mcadorey/CTV News Toronto) A motorcyclist has 'significant,' but non-life-threatening, injuries following a fail-to-remain crash in Vaughan on Sunday evening, say police. The collision happened near Fossil Hill Road and Saint Francis Avenue, which is north of Rutherford Road and west of Weston Road. York Regional Police said they were called to that area at 7 p.m. for reports of collision involving a motorcycle and a car. Investigators said both vehicle were travelling southbound on Fossil Hill at the time of impact. It is not known at this time how the vehicles came together or who caused the crash. Police said the driver of the car did not remain on scene. Traffic is closed in all directions in that area due to the investigation. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate route, police said.
