Hibs go into Saints game with the right mentality says Warren O'Hora

Hibs defender Warren O'Hora is relishing the prospect of a massive week for the club.
Hibs can secure third place in the William Hill Premiership tonight if they better Aberdeen's result. Indeed, given Hibs vastly superior goal difference, matching the Dons result should be sufficient.
David Gray's men currently lead The Dons by three points with two games to play, starting with a trip to Paisley in midweek before hosting Rangers on the final day of the season at Easter Road.
Speaking to hibernianfc.co.uk, O'Hora said how much he was looking forward to the challenge ahead.
'It is an exciting game for us to be involved in – it will definitely be a tough game as St Mirren have it all to play for as well.
'These are the types of games that players want to play in, especially in this league and at this Club.
'St Mirren have done very well against us this season and have taken a lot of points off us, so we are using that as an incentive. If we were to go over there and beat them then that would be a big moment for us this season – it would mean we have beaten every team in the league this season. I don't know the last time that has happened for Hibs.
'The end goal is to achieve European football next season so the incentive is there for us. You always want to win every game, but this game definitely has that little bit more magnitude.
'At the end of the day, there are other fixtures going on – and they can go your way, or they can go the other way.
'So for us, it is all in our hands – we are in control of our destiny and our own outcome. That is what every player wants, we will be going into the game knowing that if we win this game, it will put us in a really strong position.
'We want to finish this season as strongly as possible with two wins. We owe the fans that for the way they have stuck with us this season.
'The fans have been behind us all season, so for us to get the job done and secure third would be a big moment for us.
'We are going into the game with the right mentality and to go and win.'

Would Porteous return 'rock the boat' or does he have 'untapped potential'?

We asked for your views on Ryan Porteous' possible return to Easter Road following reports linking the defender to what some of you said:Paul: Hopefully he learned a bit more about defending, a good addition to the squad. Does this mean Rocky Bushiri is on his way out?Kenny: Step backwards. He's too slow and gives away silly free kicks and penalties. He wouldn't improve the If Rocky doesn't sign bring him back. Always gave you everything and was good for winding up the opposition. He needs to play to get a sniff of the Scotland I'd take Porto back in a heartbeat. That lad has untapped potential.A wee cuddle from SDG is the perfect medicine to get his Scotland career back on track and become a Hibees The return of development boys to Easter Road has worked well in the past, but I remain unconvinced that Ryan Porteous has requisite maturity yet to consistently be the seasoned pro needed in No thank you. He's a bomb scare. Not sure he would be a good influence in the dressing room either, I'm surprised David Gray is looking at It would be good business for us, it increases the competition, though I feel he is better than what we currently have. Squad depth will be key next If he can cut out the rash tackling and play they way we know he can, then yes. If he is still jumping into tackles he can't win, then no. In Gray I trust I don't want him back at Hibs. He agitated for a move away and in the end I was glad to see him go. He would not fit in with the current ethos at Hibs, he is far too self There is a good balance in the team and dressing room at the moment, but feel Porteous might rock the boat a bit, and not in a good way. He left, leave it that way.

Neil Gray under fire over 'using ministerial car to visit the pub'

Gray has previously faced heavy criticism for having been chauffeured in a ministerial car to attend major Aberdeen cup matches at Hampden Park. The Health Secretary was gifted VIP seats on three occasions to watch the Dons play Hibernian, Rangers and Celtic in the League Cup and Scottish Cup. The Scottish Government said he was attending the games as a guest of the Scottish Football Association to discuss 'essential' business which related to his ministerial brief. Gray, who is an Aberdeen fan, declared the football trips as official business as they occurred across his time wellbeing economy, fair work and energy secretary. The trip was logged as a visit to a 'personal address, Aberdeen', despite Gray not having a personal address in the city. A Scottish Government spokesperson said: 'This is an administration error. Mr Gray travelled from government business to a restaurant for a personal engagement before returning to government business.' They further said the trip was 'in line with the rules around Government Car Service GCS use'. The Scottish Tories and Scottish Labour said Gray had questions to answer. Scottish Labour deputy leader Jackie Baillie said 'The decision to take a taxpayer-funded car to the pub is questionable enough – but the fact it was hidden from the public reeks of a cover-up. 'Neil Gray must come clean about exactly what happened here and explain why exactly this trip to the pub was legitimate government business.' And Scots Tory depute leader Rachael Hamilton said: '[Gray] needs to explain why he and his team originally claimed that his ministerial limo took him to a home address rather than to a restaurant for socialising. 'Given the scandal the misuse of his government car caused, the Health Secretary ought to have double checked every journey to make sure that his account was factually correct, so this inaccuracy is hard to fathom.' In January, Gray apologised for what he called an "inadvertent error" in his statements to parliament about the documentation of meetings at football matches he attended. The SNP minister was accused of potentially misleading the Scottish Parliament by saying that minutes were taken at all the meetings in football stadiums. Following a Freedom of Information request, the Sunday Post newspaper was told by the government there was no note produced of the meeting at the 2023 League Cup Final at Hampden Park, where Rangers defeated Aberdeen. In November, Gray said it is legitimate for ministers to attend sporting events and he will continue to do so.

What is Robinson's 'driving force' with St Mirren?

St Mirren head coach Steven Robinson hopes to use Aberdeen's Scottish Cup success and the celebrations that followed as inspiration as he eyes up similar scenes in Paisley next season."When you're in Scotland, you probably have to accept that you're not going to win the league, if you're realistic" Robinson said."But, you can always win a cup. You need a bit of luck, you need a good draw, or get a good run and I've not managed that at St Mirren."[Aberdeen winning the Scottish Cup] is good for Scottish football. It was good to see."I've been to finals twice with Motherwell and I saw what it did to the town, the togetherness it brought, so that is certainly a driving force."My head of recruitment Martin Foyle said 'you could do with a cup run' and I'm like 'thanks Martin, I know that and we're trying'."It's something that will drive us forward and it is one of our aims."Read more from Liam's interview with Robinson here.
