The 2025 Travelers Championship has officially entered the weekend, and things are heating up at TPC River Highlands. As the eighth and final Signature Event of the PGA Tour season, this tournament delivers on all fronts, star power, fierce competition, and plenty of drama. Heading into Saturday's third round, the top of the leaderboard is stacked, with three heavyweights locked in a tie for first at 9-under par.

Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler, and Tommy Fleetwood currently share the lead after a thrilling second round. Thomas made the biggest move on Friday with a sizzling 6-under par 64, while Fleetwood wasn't far behind, carding a 5-under 65.
Scheffler, who opened with a brilliant 62, cooled off slightly with a 1-under par 69, but still held on to stay in that top group.

The PGA Tour summed it up perfectly: 'The leaderboard is STACKED heading into the weekend,' and golf fans couldn't agree more.
Sitting just one shot behind the leaders is Jason Day at 8-under par, quietly positioning himself for a weekend surge. Denny McCarthy and Austin Eckroat round out the top five at 7-under par, both looking to make a statement on moving day.
Saturday's tee times reflect the drama, with Thomas and Scheffler paired in the final twosome at 2:25 p.m. ET, while Fleetwood and Day go off just before them at 2:15 p.m. ET. Fans can catch the action from 1-3 p.m. on Golf Channel and from 3-6:30 p.m. on CBS, with early coverage streaming on ESPN+ starting at 8 a.m. ET.
With the weekend underway and the leaderboard this tight, the Travelers Championship is shaping up to be a can't-miss finish.

Barnwell did add that DeJean will see more time this year on the outside in addition to his usual work in the slot. The departure of Darius Slay will force the Eagles to get creative in the back end of their defense. DeJean appears more than up to the task. The 27-year-old Rutschman had an MRI on Saturday morning and the Orioles announced the move about 15 minutes before their game against the Yankees. Advertisement 'He's been super durable, especially for a catcher,' Baltimore interim manager Tony Mansolino said. 'Unfortunately, if he does, if this is a thing, he's going to go, but hopefully it's not too long.' Rutschman was in Baltimore's original lineup Friday as the designated hitter before feeling pain during batting practice and being scratched. The Orioles recalled Maverick Handley, who will serve as the backup to Gary Sánchez until Rutschman returns. Rutschman is hitting .227 with eight homers and 20 RBIs in 68 games this season. Soaring temps continue through the weekend, cooldown coming next week
The heat wave continues Saturday with high temperatures in the upper 90s and some metro area towns reaching triple digits. A heat advisory is in place for the foothills to the eastern plains until 6 p.m. Saturday. High temperatures on the plains could reach 105 degrees. If you plan to be outside during the afternoon and early evening, make sure you drink plenty of water and wear sunscreen. You may even want to bring a small fan with you. CBS A red flag warning is in effect until 10 p.m. Saturday for most of the high country and western slope. Wind gusts could reach as high as 50 miles per hour, and relative humidity is low, between five to 10%. CBS Sunday will be a tad cooler. Tad being the key word, as high temperatures will be in the low 90s. CBS Come Monday, we will finally see a break in the heat as a cold front slides into Colorado. Don't expect wet weather, unfortunately; however, temperatures will drop into the 70s, which will feel amazing! The chance of rain returns Tuesday and Wednesday, which will be great news for our fire danger.
