Bill Belichick gives blunt and honest opinion on the 'Patriot Way'
Former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick made a shocking admission in his book 'The Art of Winning.' According to the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach, the "Patriot Way" isn't a real thing.
The 'Patriot Way' had become synonymous with success and discipline over the course of Belichick's tenure with the organization. It was viewed as something that propelled the team to success and set them apart from the rest of the competition.
"Someone came up with the phrase, 'The Patriot Way.' I think they made some money off it. Good for them. Here's something you should know: The Patriot Way does not exist," Belichick wrote, via the Boston Globe's Dan Shaughnessy.
The Patriots and Belichick parted ways in January 2024.
New England moved quickly to hire Jerod Mayo as the next head coach, but that experiment only lasted a year before they fired him and moved on to Mike Vrabel. Meanwhile, Belichick has taken his talents to the college ranks as the new head coach at the University of North Carolina.
Even if the "Patriot Way" isn't real, the Patriots would surely love to get back to that point after three consecutive losing seasons. There has been no way for the team after finishing 4-13 in the last two years.

Patrick Mahomes' Mom Makes Personal Announcement on Wednesday

Patrick Mahomes' Mom Makes Personal Announcement on Wednesday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. These days, Patrick Mahomes has been busy preparing for the upcoming season with the Kansas City Chiefs. The two-time All-Pro quarterback is looking to bounce back after what turned out to be an ultimately disappointing campaign that ended with the Chiefs' heartbreaking loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl. Advertisement Their 40-22 loss in the big game denied Mahomes and Co. a place in history. Instead of celebrating what would have been an unprecedented Super Bowl three-peat, the Chiefs had to settle for second place after being outplayed by a determined Eagles side. Cheering for her son through the highs and the lows is Randi Mahomes, who is the mother of Patrick Mahomes. The 52-year-old has been a constant figure in the Chiefs QB's life, and they have been together through the ups and the downs--even way before Patrick Mahomes established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. It was even more difficult for her after she divorced her husband, Patrick Mahomes Sr., in 2006. Patrick Mahomes was just 11 at that time, and his mom had to work multiple jobs to support him and his siblings as a sole provider. Advertisement Randi Mahomes is now sharing her parenthood journey with others. This is through her Sports Parent Academy, which, according to its website, is a "comprehensive e-course designed to guide parents raising young athletes through every stage." On Wednesday, Randi Mahomes took to Instagram to announce that her site is now live. "Just got back from the cruise--rested and ready. And guess what's finally here? The Sports Parent Academy--early access is LIVE!" she captioned her post. Randi Mahomes offers three tiers of her e-courses. They range from $597 for the Core Course to $4,999 for the VIP/Inner Circle package. However, all the courses are currently on sale by as much as 25% for the Earlybird Pricing rate. Patrick Mahomes' Wife Brittany Mahomes Makes Decision on Fourth Child originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Advertisement Before the NFL Playoffs began for Kansas City, Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, welcomed their third child, and second daughter, announcing the birth of Golden Raye on Jan. 12. Golden Raye is now the youngest of three, joining her older sister, Sterling Sky, born on Feb. 20, 2021 and her brother, Patrick 'Bronze' Lavon, born on Nov. 28, 2022. Now, the Mahomes family has grown to five, but it doesn't appear Brittany Mahomes wants to add a sixth. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany MahomesKirby Lee-Imagn Images On Wednesday, Brittany Mahomes made a guest appearance on the "WHOOP Podcast," where she discussed her pregnancy and being an NFL wife. When discussing the birth of Golden Raye, Brittany mentioned she was not interested in having a fourth kid. Advertisement "Nope," Brittany Mahomes said. "We're done, we're done for a while. Three. I don't know, I mean I feel like you can never like say you're done, but I think three is all I need." While Brittany seems to be against having a fourth child for now, Patrick appears to be on the same page. Following the birth of Golden Raye, the three-time Super Bowl champion opened up about adding another to the family. "I'm good with three for right now," he said. "We'll see down the line, maybe. But my goal was always three. So, we've had three. And we'll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on." Patrick Mahomes is now gearing up for his ninth season with the Chiefs, attending the first couple of sessions of the team's organized team activities (OTAs). Kansas City will open the 2025 NFL season in Brazil, facing the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1. For nearly three years, Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, have hosted the "New Heights" podcast together. It has become a big hit, and the duo has invited some of the biggest stars from the NFL and the sports world at large. Advertisement Last August, the podcast achieved a deal with Amazon for over $100 million, which is an indication of how popular it has become over time. On Wednesday, a big announcement was made, as "New Heights" merch is now available for fans to purchase and wear. This collection comes in patriotic colors just in time for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday. According to Sports Business Journal, the podcast had previously hit 2.5 million subscribers. Travis Kelce may be showing some signs of wear and tear on the field lately, but he remains one of the best tight ends in the NFL. Last season, he posted 97 receptions, 823 yards and three touchdowns while helping the Chiefs go 15-2. Advertisement All season, the Chiefs seemed to luck into many wins. But their good fortune eventually ran out, as their hopes for an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl championship failed when they lost to the Eagles, 40-22, in the big game.
