Tesla CEO Elon Musk initially promised that the new Cybertruck would be bulletproof and apocalypse-ready, but he probably wasn't planning for them to be used as target practice for the military. The U.S. Air Force is reportedly looking for two Cybertrucks to use as targets for precision guided weapons. Another Chinese automaker is taking the fight to Tesla Watch More The USAF chose Cybertrucks because it said there's a possibility future adversaries could be driving one. The Tesla is one of 33 different vehicles being sought for use by the Air Force Testing Center at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. That said, the Cybertruck is the only model listed by name, with others being generic sedans, trucks, and SUVs. The Air Force's order documents state that the Cybertruck's 'aggressively angular and futuristic design, paired with its unpainted stainless steel exoskeleton, sets it apart from competitors typically using painted steel or aluminum bodies. Additionally, its 48V electrical architecture provides superior power and efficiency, a feature that rivals are only beginning to develop. Extensive internet searches and industry outreach by [redacted] found no vehicles with features comparable to those of the Cybertruck.' While we don't know if the military has some intelligence suggesting that insurgents are snapping up Tesla Cybertrucks, it makes sense that it would want to figure out the best ways to destroy one in case that did happen. Plus, Tesla likely won't be unhappy to sell some Cybertrucks, even if it's only two, and even if they're only being purchased to be shot at. After hearing claims that the truck was indestructible, the internet went to work proving that it wasn't. Many YouTubers and other personalities tested the trucks with crossbows, rifles, and all manner of other firearms, and it stood up to most of the punishment surprisingly well. Of course, it's not actually indestructible, as some have shown that doing 'real' truck stuff causes problems in a hurry. About the Author Chris Teague View Profile

Red state city EXPLODES in population... thanks to bizarre link to Walmart

A quiet southern town has suddenly seen its population explode and it may all trace back to the moment it became known as the birthplace of the first-ever Walmart store. Rogers, Arkansas, once a quiet Southern town known only for being the site of the first-ever Walmart store, is undergoing a major transformation with a population boom turning it into one of the fastest-growing cities in America. Located in Benton County, Rogers has seen a rapid influx of new residents. The US Census Bureau ranked the Northwest Arkansas area as the 22nd fastest-growing metro in the nation. The population jumped from 591,895 people in 2023 to 605,615 in 2024 - with people lured by affordable real estate, strong schools, scenic parks and a thriving job market. It all started when the first-ever Walmart opened its doors on July 2, 1962 in Rogers – then called Wal-Mart Discount City. Though that original store closed long ago, the company's footprint and influence remains strong in the region. Its corporate headquarters is located nearby in Bentonville and continues to shape the local economy and housing market. Mayor Greg Hines told Daily Mail the city is growing for all the right reasons. 'Rogers is seeing steady growth as more people choose to live and work here,' he said. 'They're drawn by job opportunities, strong schools, and access to parks and trails.' The first Walmart store opened here in 1962, and that moment 'shaped the direction of the city', he explained. 'It helped attract other businesses and laid the groundwork for long-term economic growth.' Today, new residents include remote workers, young families, and retirees, drawn to the mix of quaint neighborhoods, new developments and a lower cost of living than many coastal cities. 'Today, sectors like healthcare, retail, and manufacturing are driving the local economy,' he told Daily Mail. 'We're focused on planning for the future, investing in infrastructure, and quality of life initiatives to support a growing population and make sure Rogers stays a good place to live and work.' The historic downtown district of Rogers, Arkansas, is seen above Demographically, Rogers has grown more diverse in recent years. Census data shows the Hispanic population has surged, making up over 30 percent of the city's population. The area also attracts a growing number of college-educated professionals and families looking for quality of life and career mobility. The market has something for everyone – from historic fixer-uppers under $200K, to custom lakefront mansions topping $2 million, to quaint vintage style mid-century homes. A listing for a 4-bed, 3-bath modern farmhouse with a wraparound porch and mountain views priced at less than $400K - a steal compared to what it would cost in other more pricey states. The current Walmart store in Rogers which is located a few blocks from the original site, still draws in daily shoppers. Today the company operates over 3,000 stores across the US and 1,607 abroad. Walmart did not respond to a request for comment. Trump Media to broadcast GB News on US streaming platform Truth+

The Trump family media company has partnered with GB News to broadcast the channel on its US streaming platform, Truth+. Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), which operates social media app Truth Social, the streaming platform Truth+, and the FinTech brand announced on Friday that it will add GB News to its list of available channels – making the UK broadcaster accessible to most countries globally, including the US. GB News, which has hosted rightwing commentators such as Nigel Farage, will be offered with the free basic package on Truth+, and can be accessed through multiple devices and platforms including iOS, Android, Web, Apple TV, Android TV, and Amazon Fire. This new alliance between TMTG and GB News comes as the US president continues to criticise the mainstream media, filing lawsuits against giants such as Rupert Murdoch, as well as broadcasters and smaller newspapers. Earlier this year, Trump claimed that the US media was full of 'radical-left monsters', who are guilty of 'illegal' reporting. More recently, White House communications director, Steven Cheung, has said that 'liberal media' is spreading 'fake news' in relation to reports claiming that Trump's name appears in US justice department files about Jeffrey Epstein. Trump Media's chief executive and chairperson, Devin Nunes, said in a statement: 'GB News is a terrific source for news, facts, and commentary. 'By expanding its global reach, we aim to connect an enormous new, international audience to the network's unique reporting and opinion, while putting another dent in the global woke news monopoly.'
