They stated that the protest was aimed at bringing 'good sense' to civic body.
The committee acting president Devendra Singh Yadav alleged that potholes on roads filled with water could be witnessed across the city. But civic body and its officials were 'sleeping like Kumbhakarna'. So, the action was taken to awaken them and instil wisdom.
Yadav criticised the city's deteriorating roads as a major problem. "When guests visit the country's cleanest city, they see these broken roads, which tarnishes Indore's image," he alleged.
IMC commissioner Shivam Verma said that ahead of the monsoon, patchwork started on roads but, at many places the work was on.

2 constituencies, 2 IDs? Electoral rolls show duplicate entries; EC probes LJP MP Veena Devi & husband Dinesh Singh
NEW DELHI: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thrusday, issued notices to Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP from Vaishali, Veena Devi, and her husband, Janata Dal (United) MLC Dinesh Prasad Singh, over allegations that both are listed in the electoral rolls of two different assembly constituencies and possess two voter ID cards each. The Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of Muzaffarpur Assembly constituency issued the notices after preliminary review of the voter lists dated July 1, 2025. Both have been asked to respond by August 16, 2025, failing which further action may be initiated. This development comes in the wake of leader of opposition Tejashwi Yadav's public allegations. On Wednesday night, Yadav released a press statement and later reiterated via a post on X that Veena Devi holds two EPIC (Electors Photo Identity Card) numbers — UTO1134543 and GSB1037894 — and is registered as a voter in two different assembly constituencies, Muzaffarpur and Sahebganj. In a separate post on Thursday, Yadav further alleged that her husband, Dinesh Singh, also holds two voter cards in Muzaffarpur district and is similarly enrolled in two different assembly constituencies. Responding to the allegations, Veena Devi said to news agency ANI 'My house is in the Paroo block under the Sahibganj constituency. I have been contesting elections since 2001. During nominations, every time I contested an election, my name was listed in the voter list of this area" She added Perhaps my name was included in the voter list of Muzaffarpur at the time of my marriage. At that time, I had submitted an application asking that my name be removed from that list. Now I'm unsure how my name still exists on that list, possibly due to an error by an officer or a Booth Level Officer" The Election Commission, taking cognizance of the claims, has now begun formal inquiry. Tejashwi Yadav claims Muzaffarpur mayor, NDA MP possess two EPIC numbers
Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday alleged that Muzaffarpur Mayor Nirmala Devi and ruling National Democratic Alliance MP Veena Devi possess two Electoral Photo Identity Card numbers each in Bihar. Yadav alleged that Nirmala Devi, a Bharatiya Janata Party leader, had two EPIC numbers in the Muzaffarpur Assembly constituency. 'Her two different EPIC cards list two different ages,' he claimed on social media. The leader of the Opposition in the Assembly also claimed that the mayor had filled two enumeration forms during the special intensive revision of Bihar's electoral roll. 'She must have signed two different forms with two different signatures,' the Rashtriya Janata Dal leader alleged, claiming that the Election Commission had verified that the mayor herself signed two different forms. The Opposition leader also alleged that Nirmala Devi's two brother-in-laws, Manoj Kumar and Dilip Kumar, held two EPIC cards each. 'This means they too must have filled out two different forms in the SIR and provided two different signatures,' he said. This implied that the Election Commission was facilitating the creation of several fake votes for BJP supporters within a single household, Yadav alleged. 'She [the mayor] is a potential BJP candidate from Muzaffarpur, so is the Election Commission helping her by creating fake votes in her favour?' he added. Later on Wednesday, Yadav claimed that Veena Devi, a Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP from the Vaishali Lok Sabha constituency, also had two EPIC cards. 'She [Veena Devi] is a registered voter in the Assembly seat that falls under her own Lok Sabha seat, and she is also a voter in the Muzaffarpur Assembly segment falling under the parliamentary constituency of the same name,' The Indian Express quoted Yadav as saying. 'Her two different EPIC cards show two different ages,' Rashtriya Janata Dal leader said on social media. 'In SIR she filled out two different enumeration forms. During the voter list revision, she must have signed two different forms with two different signatures.' Veena Devi's husband also has two EPIC cards in two Assembly constituencies, the Opposition leader claimed. Yadav said: 'Is this not a case of fraud, manipulation and collusion by the Election Commission to ensure a victory for BJP-NDA? Will the 'Troll Commission' of the BJP, now turned into a worm-like commission, conduct a fact check and issue two different notices to her from two different places?' After the allegations against Nirmala Devi came to light, the Election Commission issued notices to the mayor and her brother-in-laws, seeking their reply by Saturday, The Hindu reported. The poll panel also served notices to Veena Devi and her husband seeking a response, PTI quoted unidentified officials as saying on Thursday. The Rashtriya Janata Dal leader's allegations came three days after he claimed that Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha also had two EPIC numbers in two Assembly constituencies. Hours later, the Election Commission had on Sunday issued a notice to Sinha. The BJP leader was asked to reply to the notice by Thursday. Yadav had claimed that one of the numbers linked to Sinha was in the Lakhi Sarai Assembly seat and the other in the Bankipur constituency. Responding to Yadav's claims, Sinha said that he had applied earlier for his name to be removed from Bankipur, but it had not been deleted. He presented documents showing that he had applied for his name to be deleted from the voter roll in Bankipur. The revision of the electoral rolls in Bihar was announced by the Election Commission on June 24. As part of the exercise, persons whose names were not on the 2003 voter list needed to submit proof of eligibility to vote. The draft roll was published on August 1 as part of the special revision ahead of the Bihar Assembly polls expected to take place in October or November. It showed that more than 65 lakh names had been deleted from the list. The list will be revised by September after the Election Commission assesses objections and claims about the exclusion and inclusion of voters in the draft roll. BJP leader from Gujarat voting in Bihar, claims Yadav On Wednesday, Yadav also claimed that Bhikhubhai Dalsania, the Bihar BJP's organisation general secretary who had been a voter in Gujarat till the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, was now a voter in Bihar, The Hindu reported. Dalsania had deleted his name from Gujarat and was now a voter in the Digha Assembly constituency in Patna district, the Rashtriya Janata Dal leader claimed. 'Just see what is going on in the BJP,' the newspaper quoted him as telling reporters. 'Natives of other states are becoming the voters of Bihar. After the Bihar election, he will become a voter of some other states and will keep casting votes for the BJP candidates.' Yadav also alleged that the Hindutva party was earlier using the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Department as tools to trouble Opposition parties. Now, the BJP was using the Election Commission, he added.
