Gaza authorities call on Palestinians to boycott Israeli plan to distribute aid

Saba Yemen26-05-2025
Gaza - Saba:
The Ministry of Interior and National Security in Gaza called for a boycott of the upcoming Zionist mechanism for distributing aid in Gaza.
The ministry said in a statement on Monday: "We call on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip to absolutely not cooperate with it, as the enemy, under the cover of the Israeli-funded "Gaza Foundation," will use aid distribution as a security and intelligence framework, and attempt to access information using modern technologies such as iris scans, to harm citizens and trap them in the quagmire of collaborating by bargaining with them over their livelihoods.
The statement stated that the enemy, by controlling the distribution of humanitarian aid through a recently established, dubious organization, with measures that serve its policies and security objectives, and after more than 85 days of systematic starvation through a stifling blockade of our people in the Gaza Strip, the complete closure of the crossings, and the prevention of the entry of thousands of aid trucks stacked on the other side, seeks to achieve its malicious goals of implementing displacement plans, in addition to trapping and blackmailing citizens for security purposes.
The statement emphasized that the enemy, through this mechanism, is flouting all international laws and norms, deliberately excluding the role of specialized international organizations with extensive experience and possessing ready structures and tools to deliver aid to those who deserve it in a manner that preserves their dignity and has proven its effectiveness during the previous months of the war of extermination.
The statement pointed out that the arrival of humanitarian aid to every citizen in their area of residence is a right guaranteed by all international laws, and that any response to the enemy's plans constitutes a direct threat to the work of international organizations in Gaza, posing a burden and danger to citizens in the coming period.
The statement emphasized that the new aid distribution mechanism requires citizens to travel long distances to receive aid. This is part of the enemy's policies to redistribute the population within the Gaza Strip, implementing its plans to fully control the Strip, including the displacement plan, which has yet to be implemented.
It noted that the enemy's failure in its new plan hinges on the citizens' lack of response and their categorical rejection of it. This will force the enemy to return to the previously implemented system of distributing aid through official UN agencies and other international organizations, especially given the international pressure the enemy is under regarding the blockade and starvation.
It stated that this circumventive attempt by the enemy and its security forces will fail, just as their previous attempts throughout the months-long war of extermination failed.
It also called on the Palestinian people to act responsibly in these difficult circumstances and not to interfere with aid trucks entering the Strip. This is to ensure that aid is distributed to all citizens in a fair and safe manner, and to stand united in the face of the saboteurs and agents of the enemy.
The statement emphasized that despite the enemy's targeting of police personnel, we will not hesitate to fulfill our duty to secure and protect aid trucks. We will not allow the creation of enemy agents in areas controlled by its army. Anyone who cooperates with the enemy in imposing its agenda will pay the price, and we will take the necessary measures against them.

Egypt, UAE Coordinate to Supply 2 Million Gallons of Water Daily to Gaza Residents

The United Arab Emirates and Egypt are intensifying their humanitarian coordination to deliver 2 million gallons of potable water daily to residents of the Gaza Strip, as part of a broader joint relief effort, UAE Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Organizations Sultan Al Shamsi announced on Wednesday. Speaking during a live phone interview with Egypt's Sada El-Balad TV, Al Shamsi highlighted the ongoing water desalination efforts aimed at serving over one million Gazans. Plans are underway to expand the water supply line deeper into central Gaza. Al Shamsi revealed that 5,000 tons of Emirati aid are currently staged in El Arish, Egypt, awaiting entry into Gaza. Additionally, 143 trucks loaded with food supplies, medical equipment, and water are part of the relief convoy. 'Providing safe drinking water is our top priority in Gaza right now,' said Al Shamsi, underlining that access to clean water remains one of the most critical challenges in the besieged enclave. He also confirmed the presence of a floating Emirati hospital stationed in El Arish, as well as a field hospital inside Gaza, which have together supported the treatment of over 2,600 patients and companions from Gaza in the UAE. Al Shamsi addressed circulating reports about the closure of the Rafah border crossing, categorically denying them: 'I have seen with my own eyes that the crossing is open on the Egyptian side,' he stated. He also dismissed what he described as "rumors" intended to undermine relief operations, affirming that no misinformation campaign would halt the humanitarian support being provided by both Egypt and the UAE. 'Whatever is being said, we will continue our mission. Egypt and the UAE are committed to helping the Palestinian people,' he said. The Gaza Strip has been grappling with acute shortages in water, electricity, fuel, and medical supplies due to ongoing conflict and restricted access points. The UAE and Egypt's joint efforts are seen as a vital humanitarian lifeline, offering both immediate relief and infrastructure-based solutions.

28 Palestinians, including Children, starving Civilians, killed by Israeli Fire in Gaza since dawn

Gaza – SABA: At least 28 Palestinian civilians, including children and malnourished individuals, were killed and dozens more wounded in ongoing Israeli attacks across various areas of the Gaza Strip since early Thursday morning. According to medical, local, and media sources monitored by Yemen News Agency (SABA), most of the casualties occurred while victims were waiting for aid distribution, or were sheltering in tents and residential neighborhoods targeted by Israeli forces. The Al-Awda Hospital in central Gaza reported that the death toll there rose from 7 to 12, with 60 others injured, after Israeli forces attacked a crowd of starving civilians near an aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street. In northern Gaza City, three people were killed and others injured in an airstrike targeting the Salfiti family apartment, which sparked a large fire. In Jabalia, at least one woman was killed and dozens injured, including children, in another airstrike on a residential home. At Al-Shifa Medical Complex, the body of another victim and several wounded people arrived after Israeli forces bombed Al-Karama neighborhood in northwest Gaza. In Deir al-Balah (central Gaza), five Palestinians were killed in a drone strike on a tent sheltering displaced people in the Al-Bassa area. In Khan Younis (south Gaza), a drone attack on a tent in the Al-Mawasi zone killed three Palestinians, including two children, and injured over 15 others. Another civilian was shot dead by a drone in Qizan an-Najjar, also in southern Khan Younis. Elsewhere in Al-Mawasi's Bir 19 area, two more children were killed when a tent housing displaced families was shelled. Backed by U.S. and European support, Israel's military campaign in Gaza, ongoing since October 7, 2023, has resulted in the deaths of 60,249 Palestinians, most of them women and children, and injured 147,089 others, according to Thursday's figures. Thousands more remain buried under rubble or stranded, with emergency and rescue teams unable to reach them. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)

Hamas Official: Wittekof's visit to Gaza is propaganda to contain rising anger

Gaza – Saba: Izzat al-Rishq, a member of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), described the visit of U.S. Special Envoy Wittekof to the Gaza Strip on Thursday as a "propaganda display" aimed at containing escalating anger over the American-"Israeli" partnership in starving the Palestinian people in the Strip. In a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), al-Rishq said, "Wittekof sees in Gaza only what the Zionist enemy wants him to see, and he views the ongoing tragedy through misleading Israeli eyes." He added, "He certainly will not witness the operation of the 'starvation guillotine,' misleadingly called the 'Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,' or how it prepares the stage for killing by the Zionist war machine." Al-Rishq emphasized that the White House's acknowledgment of the "Gaza famine" after denying it—without condemning the Israeli enemy responsible—means absolving the perpetrator and providing political cover for the continuation of the gravest crime in modern history.
