Urgent search launched for missing teen who may be in Midlothian as concerns grow
Police have launched an urgent search for a missing Scottish teen who could be in Midlothian.
Aaron Wilson, 16, was reported missing in Newtown St Boswells and was last seen in the the Dickson Drive area around 10am on Saturday, May 3.
He is described as about 5ft 8ins, slim built, short brown hair. When last seen he was wearing a half grey-half black hoodie, grey joggers, orange and black trainers.

Sergeant Keith Dougal said: 'Extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace Aaron and we are becoming concerned for his welfare.
'He has links to the Kelso area as well as Galashiels and Mayfield.

Someone who made me feel like I was so — like I was her one and only,' an emotional Goodwin told the judge, per Court TV. "Now, discovering she put a hit out to kill me more than once, got blackmailed and spent almost all our savings to keep it quiet … This has led me to fear [for] my life,' he continued, through tears. 'I've hired armed security for weeks. Not knowing [whether] it was over or not.' Aaron, who filed for divorce from Victoria in March, told the judge that ever since he found out about the plot, he has been 'looking over' his shoulder and going through therapy to understand everything that has happened. He then described the feeling as a 'heartbreak no one should go through in life," stating, "The fact that this person did all this to me with no worry, no care or love in her heart for me, I will never feel the same." "I will never feel safe or be the same because of what she did. Especially when she gets out one day," Aaron added. 'Whether she [gets] minimum or maximum time, I still won't feel safe whenever she's released. I feel like this deserves prison time." Victoria was later sentenced to a minimum of 36 months and a maximum of 90 months in prison, according to KVVU-TV. She previously accepted a plea deal in April, pleading guilty to one felony count of conspiracy to commit murder. Victoria was initially taken into custody on March 6 on charges of soliciting to commit murder and conspiring to commit murder. She allegedly conspired with convicted murderer Grant Amato, with whom she began a relationship in March 2024, after seeing him in the Paramount+ true crime docuseries, Ctrl + Alt + Desire, per a police report. After Victoria and Amato met, she allegedly conspired to kill Aaron with her new lover's help — allegedly going as far as discussing payments for his murder. Following the news of Victoria's alleged murder-for-hire plan, Aaron filed for divorce in a complaint that read, "There is no possibility of reconciliation between husband and wife.' Motorbike rider dies in Scottish beauty spot crash after being airlifted to hospital
A motorbike rider has tragically lost his life following a crash in a Scottish beauty spot. Highland emergency services raced to the scene on the A87 at Loch Cluanie after the alarm was raised at around 11.25am on Friday, June 6. Officers were responding to reports of a crash involving a Yamaha motorbike, the Daily Record reports. Scottish drugs mule flooded market with £7m of heroin in plot involving former cop
A Scottish drugs mule who flooded the UK with millions of pounds worth of heroin has been ordered to pay back just £42k. Christopher Heaney, from Anstruther in Fife, was jailed for nine years for his involvement in a cross-border heroin conspiracy as he and four others were busted by cops following the arrest of a former police officer in 2022. Ex-cop Steven Creasey was stopped while driving to Fife having already travelled from his home in Cardiff to Liverpool on the same day. A dog then sniffed out a professionally installed hide under the passenger seat, reports WalesOnline. A burner phone also found in his possession revealed he had been operating as a professional courier engaged by the heads of a Liverpool-based gang. Fife-based Heaney was involved in the distribution of onward supply across the UK along with three others. Raids were then carried out at homes in Cardiff, Liverpool, Scotland and Northumberland towards the end of 2022. Significant items were found at the addresses, including expensive jewellery, heroin, cocaine, adulterants, opium, cannabis grows, and metal moulds for pressing powder into blocks. All five defendants pleaded guilty prior to trial at Cardiff Crown Court in February last year. The gang members were jailed for a combination of 57 years and 2 months. A Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) hearing was held at the same court earlier this week. It heard how despite profiting around £125,000 as part of the operation, Heaney was ordered to pay back a fraction of £42,000. Judge Lucy Crowther ordered him to pay the sum within three months. "The success of Operation Solon demonstrates strong partnership working between Police Scotland, Tarian ROCU and other partner agencies. It also reinforces our commitment to the UK's Serious and Organised Crime Strategy. "Organised crime has no place in our society and we will continue to work relentlessly to bring those responsible to justice."
