Until Dawn was given a 53% 'rotten' rating from Rotten Tomatoes critics based on 102 reviews. The RT Critics Consensus for the film reads, 'Until Dawn has a novel premise by rewinding the clock repeatedly to deliver multiple horror movies in one, but a lack of inspiration in each new variation yields a spoil of diminishing returns rather than riches.' In addition, the film received a 68% 'fresh' score on RT's Popcornmeter based on 1,000-plus verified user ratings. Until Dawn arrives on PVOD on Friday.

The blockbuster is 50, and ‘chicken jockey' is what we have to show for it
What ever happened to watching a movie? The question has become more than rhetorical in recent weeks. In mid-April, as 'A Minecraft Movie' was becoming a box office juggernaut, theaters were reporting a trend that involved young filmgoers throwing food, doing backflips and standing on their heads when the film's star, Jack Black, said the phrase 'chicken jockey.' The pranks occasionally led to genuinely disturbing incidents, like fights between patrons and destruction of property. Then Sony raised the participatory stakes with special screenings of its horror remake 'Until Dawn,' where audiences competed to see who could watch it on repeat the longest, without falling asleep, taking a bathroom break or using their phones.
