Tom Cruise Sets Guinness World Record for "Mission Impossible 8"

Tom Cruise has set a Guinness World Record during the production of 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' by doing 16 burning parachute jumps while filming the climactic plane sequence.
Cruise jumped to his potential death while his parachute caught fire 16 times during the making of the latest entry in the Mission: Impossible franchise.
Paramount marked the record with a new behind-the-scenes video of the wild aerial stunt.
'If this is twisted while it's burning, I'm going to be spinning and burnt. I have to kick out of the twist and then ignite in 10 seconds,' Cruise is heard saying in the footage. 'We're going to be real smart. I'm not saying be risky. We don't take risks, obviously.'
'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' was billed as Cruise's final outing as Ethan Hunt, making the burning parachute jump his last stunt of the 29-year-old franchise.
When asked in Cannes about his future with the hit franchise, Cruise remained coy about leaving 'Mission: Impossible' for good.
'I'd rather just people see it and enjoy and we've had an amazing time doing it and it's been a lot of fun and I just want you all to enjoy it,' the acclaimed actor said. 'Enjoy this and know everything is the culmination has come to this moment right now.'
'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' opened over Memorial Day Weekend and has grossed $360 million and counting at the worldwide box office.
The film debuted to a huge $200 million, setting a franchise record for biggest 'Mission: Impossible' opening yet.
'This weekend was one for the history books!' Cruise wrote in a message to fans after the film's opening. 'Congratulations and thank you to every filmmaker, every artist, every crew member and every single person who works at the studios. To every theater and every employee who helps bring these stories to audiences, thank you.'
'To everyone that works at Paramount Pictures and Skydance, thank you for your many years of partnership and unwavering support,' he continued. 'And most of all, THANK YOU to audiences everywhere for whom we all serve and for whom we all LOVE to entertain. Sincerely, Tom.'

"Alien: Earth" Trailer Is Here
Yara Sameh FX has finally dropped the official trailer for for the sci-fi horror series "Alien: Earth," an eight-episode series serving as a prequel to Ridley Scott's 'Alien.' According to the show's synopsis, The official series logline reads: 'When the mysterious deep space research vessel USCSS Maginot crash-lands on Earth, 'Wendy' (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet's greatest threat. In the year 2120, the Earth is governed by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold. In this Corporate Era, cyborgs (humans with both biological and artificial parts) and synthetics (humanoid robots with artificial intelligence) exist alongside humans. But the game is changed when the wunderkind Founder and CEO of Prodigy Corporation unlocks a new technological advancement: hybrids (humanoid robots infused with human consciousness). The first hybrid prototype named Wendy marks a new dawn in the race for immortality. After Weyland-Yutani's spaceship collides into Prodigy City, Wendy and the other hybrids encounter mysterious life forms more terrifying than anyone could have ever imagined.' The series stars Sydney Chandler as Wendy, Alex Lawther as CJ, Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh, and Adarsh Gourav as Slightly. Other cast members include Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El. Though the world of 'Alien' is nine films strong with the release of Fede Alvarez's 'Alien: Romulus' last summer, 'Alien: Earth' marks the first time Scott's long-running sci-fi franchise is sojourning to the small screen. The first season releases on August 12, though FX boss John Landgraf told Variety he's hopeful the series will return for a second installment. 'We're pretty bullish on 'Alien: Earth' and we've told him that assuming, as we hope, 'Alien: Earth' is a returning television series,' he said. Madonna to Finally Release "Ray of Light" Remix Album "Veronica Electronica": Here's When It Arrives
Yara Sameh Madonna will finally release her long-lost project 'Veronica Electronica,' featuring rare and unreleased remixes from her legendary 1998 album 'Ray of Light.' The album will also be available as part of the 'Silver Collection,' her ongoing career-spanning series of limited-edition silver vinyl reissues. The album arrives July 25 digitally and on silver vinyl, with 'Skin (The Collaboration Remix Edit)' available now. It is part of the singer's 2021 deal with Warner Music that saw her catalog returning to the company that released her first albums. An eight-track companion to 'Ray of Light,' 'Veronica Electronica' was originally envisioned by Madonna as a remix album in 1998. The record was ultimately sidelined by the original album's long string of hit singles. 'Ray of Light' went on to sell more than 16 million copies worldwide and earned Madonna four Grammy Awards, including Best Pop Album. The album's title is in itself a throwback, as 'electronica' was a loosely defined late-'90s musical genre of hard-hitting electronic dance music, defined by Prodigy, Moby, Underworld, Fatboy Slim, and occasionally stretched to artists like Bjork and Daft Punk. Optimistically considered a successor to the multiplatinum 'alternative' wave, the trend, if it ever really was one, quickly petered out with the end of the decade and the millenium. 'Veronica Electronica' features newly edited versions of club remixes by Peter Rauhofer, William Orbit, Sasha, BT, and Victor Calderone, along with the original demo of 'Gone, Gone, Gone' — a previously unreleased recording produced by Madonna and Rick Nowels.
