'When we are doing a film with a brand like Mohanlal, we should obviously expect good hype,' he said. 'But what I am worried about is that we have already fixed a genre for the movie. This comes under family drama.'
Tharun Moorthy, known for his socially grounded narratives, clarified that 'Thudarum' is not a mystery thriller or investigative drama, as some are speculating. 'When we define a genre and make a movie accordingly, if anything comes beyond that, I cannot accept it—that's my nature,' he added, admitting that such reactions may stem from his limited experience.
